How do I replace the bulb in the Livarno Lux IAN 280440 desk lamp?

First, unplug the lamp from the mains. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes to avoid burns. Then gently remove 2-3 slats (as shown in figure E). Turn the defective bulb counterclockwise to unscrew it from the socket. Insert a new E14 LED bulb (max 4W) using a clean, lint-free cloth, and screw it in clockwise. Reattach the slats. Do not use a bulb higher than 40W.

Is the lamp dimmable?

No, the lamp is not dimmable. Using a dimmer could cause damage or create a fire hazard. Always use a standard on/off switch.

Can I use this lamp outdoors?

No, this lamp is intended only for indoor use in dry, enclosed spaces. It is not protected against moisture or weather conditions.

What type of bulb does this lamp require?

The lamp uses an E14 socket bulb. The supplied bulb is an LED 4W. You can replace it with any E14 bulb up to 40W (max rated power). For best performance, use an LED bulb.

How should I clean the lamp?

Always check the lamp and the mains cable with the plug for any damage before connecting it to the mains.

Ensure that the light does not come into contact with water or other liquids under any circumstances.

Never open any of the components of the electrical equipment or insert any objects into the same components. This will pose a risk of fatal injury from electric shock.

Touch only the insulated part of the plug when connecting to or disconnecting from the mains supply!

To prevent hazards, if the external flexible lead on this lamp is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service representative or an equally qualified professional!

Before use, verify the available mains voltage matches the voltage required for operating the light (220-240V\~, 50/60Hz).

Preventing fire and injury hazards

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS

DUE TO HOT SURFACES! Ensure

the light has been switched off and has cooled down before touching it to avoid burns. Lamps become very hot.

Check each bulb for damage immediately after unpacking.

Replace defective bulbs with new ones immediately. Before replacing the bulb always remove the mains plug from the socket.

Allow the lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes before replacing a defective bulb.

Do not cover the lamp with objects. Fire can result from excessive heat development.

Position the lamp so it is protected from moisture and dirt.

Never leave the light unattended whilst in operation. Excessive heat can result in a fire. The LED light is not dimmable.

Do not look directly into the light source (lamp, LED etc.). Do not look into the light source

Operation

- Mounting the light

□ Remove the packaging materials.
□ Screw the light bulb 7 clockwise into the socket.
☐ Assemble the light as shown in Fig. A–C.

• Using the lamp

☐ Insert the mains plug into the socket.
☐ Use the ON and OFF in-line switch 4 to switch the light on and off (see Fig. D).

- Inserting / replacing the bulb

☐ Remove 2 to 3 slats ☐ (see Fig. E).
Turn the defective bulb 7 carefully anticlockwise out of the bulb socket 6.
☐ Use a clean, lint-free cloth to replace a bulb.
☐ Screw the lamp 7 clockwise into the socket 6.
☐ Please refer to chapter "Technical Data" for which light bulbs are required for the models.
☐ Install the previously removed slats 1 (see Fig. E).

• Do not use solvents such as petrol and the like, as they could damage the lamp.
  □ Clean with a duster or brush.

●Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. The Green Dot is not valid for Germany.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics / 20-22: paper and fibre-board/80-98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
