2. Intended purpose
The facial cleansing brush is intended exclusively for external use. Its purpose is cleansing the skin of make-up and loose flakes of skin, and massaging the skin of the face. The device is designed for private home use and must not be used for commercial purposes. The device must only be used indoors.
3. Safety information
Warnings
If necessary, the following warnings will be used in these operating instructions:
DANGER! High risk: failure to observe this warning may result in injury to life and limb.
WARNING! Moderate risk: failure to observe this warning may result in injury or serious material damage.
CAUTION: low risk: failure to observe this warning may result in minor injury or material damage.
NOTE: circumstances and specifics that must be observed when handling the device.
Instructions for safe operation
- This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and people with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience and/or understanding, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting danger. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be performed by children without supervision.
- Keep children under the age of 8 away from the device and the power cable.
- Only use the included original power unit for mains operation.
DANGER for children
- Packing materials are not children's toys. Children should not be allowed to play with the plastic bags: There is a risk of suffocation!
DANGER to and from pets and livestock
Electrical devices can represent a hazard to pets and livestock. In addition, animals can also cause damage to the device. For this reason you should keep animals away from electrical devices at all times.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture
The battery charger and the power unit must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
The battery charger and the power unit must not come into contact with water. They are not as water-resistant as the device itself. Do not place the battery charger on a wet or damp surface.
- Ensure that the battery charger and the power unit cannot fall into water or other liquids.
- If the battery charger has fallen into water, pull out the power unit immediately, and only then remove the battery charg
er from the water. Do not use the battery charger again, but have this checked by a specialist.
- Should liquid enter the device, have it checked before starting the device up again.
- If the battery charger is placed in a bathroom, the power unit must be pulled out after charging the battery, as the proximity of water represents a hazard, even when the device is switched off.
- Installation of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated residual operating current of no more than 30 mA is recommended to provide additional protection. Ask your electrician for advice. The installation should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock
- Never put the device into operation if there are visible damages to the device, the battery charger or the cable or if the device has been dropped before.
- Connect the cable to the battery charger before plugging the power unit into a wall socket.
- Only connect the power unit to a properly installed, easily accessible wall
socket, the voltage of which corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate. The wall socket must continue to be easily accessible after the device is plugged in.
- Ensure that the cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot surfaces.
- Ensure that the cable is not trapped or crushed.
- When removing the power unit from the wall socket, always pull the power unit and never the cable.

Switch the device off when you are not using it, before cleaning it, or if a fault occurs.
To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the device. Repairs must be carried out by a specialist workshop or the Service Centre.
DANGER from batteries
- Protect the battery against mechanical damages. Fire hazard!
- Do not expose the device to direct sunshine or heat.
- Charge the battery exclusively using the original accessory (power unit) in the battery charger supplied.
The batteries must not be disassembled, short-circuited or thrown into a fire.
- Should the electrolyte solution leak out of the battery, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can cause irritation.
WARNING! Risk of injury
When using, avoid the area around the eyes. The area around the eyes may only be cleaned by hand, as the skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive.
- Immediately stop using the device if you develop a rash, redness or itching during or after using the device. Consult a doctor if the irritation persists.
Do not use the device on open wounds, irritated skin, sunburn or blisters.
- Persons who have acne or other skin conditions should consult a doctor before using the device.
Do not use the device for longer than 60 seconds per treatment, in order to avoid excessive irritation of the facial skin.
Do not use the device if the brush attachment shows damages.
- Switch off the device before replacing or changing a brush attachment.
- Place the cable in such a way that no one trips over it or steps on it.
WARNING! Risk of material damage
- Use the original accessories only.
- Never place the device or accessories on hot surfaces (e.g. hob plates) or near heat sources or open fire.
Do not cover the power unit to prevent overheating.
- Never use excessive pressure when using the device or changing the brush attachments. This could damage the device or brush attachments. These are not impact resistant, and must be attached and removed carefully.
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
Do not attempt to open the battery charger or the device, as this leads to irreparable damage.

5. General information on the product
Using the facial cleansing brush 1 is like a gentle peeling. It gives you a revitalising and relaxing facial cleansing. In addition, this device can be used to remove make-up. For this we recommend manual pre-cleansing with appropriate cosmetics, e.g. make-up remover tissues.
The gently vibrating movement ensures deep cleansing and removes flakes of skin, as well as make-up. Skincare products can then be absorbed better. The blood flow to the treated areas of the skin is improved.
The result is a smoother and more beautiful complexion.
If you have sensitive skin you should use the sensitive brush head (white brush head) or refrain from cleaning the affected areas.

- When using, avoid the area around the eyes. The area around the eyes may only be cleaned by hand, as the skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive.
- Persons who have acne or other skin conditions should consult a doctor before using the device.
WARNING of skin irritation!
Individuals with sensitive skin may react with skin swelling or irritation. You should therefore test the device beforehand on a part of the skin which is less sensitive, e.g. the underside of the lower arm. Only use the device briefly at first in order to keep any reactions as small as possible.
Do not press the attachments too strongly against the skin.
The brush attachments
Normal (green holder)
The normal brush attachment offers effective and thorough cleansing for normal and insensitive skin types.
It is ideal for large areas of the face, e.g. for the forehead and cheeks, as well as being suitable for normal to greasy skin.
Sensitive (white holder)
The sensitive brush attachment is suitable for all skin types that can be treated with a facial cleansing brush. It is excellently suited for sensitive skin, and is also highly recommended for your first treatments with the facial cleansing brush. It offers you a very gentle and thorough cleansing.
In addition, this attachment is ideal for use with skincare products.
Using the brushes
- For the daily removal of loose skin flakes, use the facial cleansing brush 1. In addition, the skin is cleaned of make-up, dirt and deposits.
• Application times per use:
-on the forehead: 15 seconds - on the nose and chin together: 15 seconds
- each cheek: 15 seconds.
- You can also use the facial cleansing brush 1 to apply skincare products and massage your facial skin, in order to improve blood circulation and elasticity.
- The induction charging function enables an enclosed design, meaning that the device can also safely be used in the shower.

6. Charging
NOTES:
- Charge the device for 15 hours before using it for the first time, even when the status indicator light 4 shows a steady light.
- When the battery is fully charged, the device can be used for approximately 40 minutes.

The device has an overload protection function, i.e. you can store it on the battery charger 5. When the battery is charged, we recommend disconnecting the power unit 8 and storing it in a suitable location.
-
Lay the power unit 8 cable into the cable guide of the battery charger 5 and place it onto a plane surface.
- Switch off the facial cleansing brush 1 using the on/off button ⓣ2 when required.
- Insert the power unit 8 into a readily accessible wall socket whose voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating plate.
- Place the facial cleansing brush 1 into the battery charger 5.
- The status indicator light 4 will flash red and the battery will begin to charge. When the battery is fully charged, the status indicator light 4 briefly lights up red and then goes out.
7. Changing the brush attachments
• Figure A: to attach the brush attachments 6, carefully press the corresponding brush attachment into the holder on the head of the device. Make sure the attachment clicks properly into position.
• Figure A: to remove a brush attachment 6, hold it by the plastic disc and pull it off the device.
8. Using the facial cleansing brush
Note:
the brush attachments do not rotate. This is not a defect with the device.
NOTE: please note that the device switches off automatically after 60 seconds.
You can use the facial cleansing brush 1 daily for removing dry skin cells and skin flakes. In addition, the skin is cleaned of dirt and deposits. You can also use the facial cleansing brush 1 to apply skincare products and massage your facial skin, in order to improve blood circulation and elasticity. Do not clean an area of the skin for longer than 15 seconds.
8.1 Settings
Press the on/off program button Ⓧ2 to choose between the following settings:
- Press once: gentle cleansing, ... and in order to incorporate the care products – slow vibration (the light 4 is permanently green.)
- Press twice: deep cleansing, ... effective peeling, e.g. with cleansing gel fast vibration (the light 4 is permanently blue.)
- Press three times: gentle massage, ... opens up the pores ... deep cleansing and incorporation of skincare products, slow pulsating movements (the light 4 flashes green.)
- Press four times: deep massage, ... opens up the pores ... deep cleansing and incorporation of skincare products fast pulsating movements (the light 4 flashes blue.)
- Press five times: switch off the device (the light 4 is off).
8.2 Use without skincare products
This function is used exclusively for massaging and has no cleaning effect.
- Moisten your face and the brush head with warm water.
- Press the brush attachment 6 against the part of your face that you wish to treat.

Use the on/off button Ⓞ to select the desired setting.

Move the brush attachment 6 over the skin in a circular motion, from the bottom to the top. Application times per use:

on the forehead: 15 seconds
- on the nose and chin together: 15 seconds

NOTE: after use, the treated areas may be slightly reddened.
8.3 Use with skincare products
WARNING! Risk of injury!
- Avoid contact between the skincare product or the brushes and the area of your eyes.
Use this function for cleansing or the removal of make-up residues.
- Remove larger areas of make-up.
- Cleanse the areas around the eyes completely by hand.

Apply a thin layer of cleaning, peeling or microdermabrasion cream to the skin.

Moisten the brush attachment 6.

Press the brush attachment 6 against the part of your face that you wish to treat.

Use the on/off button Ⓧ 2 to select the desired setting.

Move the brush attachment 6 over the skin in a circular motion, from the bottom to the top. Application times per use:
- on the forehead: 15 seconds
- on the nose and chin together: 15 seconds
- each cheek: 15 seconds.
- After the application, rinse your face with clean water.
NOTE: after use, the treated areas may be slightly reddened.
9. Cleaning and care
DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
- Pull the power unit 8 out of the wall socket before you clean the battery charger 5.
- Never clean connecting sockets, plugs or other electrical contacts with water or other liquids.
The battery charger 5 and the power unit 8 must not be immersed in water or other liquids. The battery charger and the power unit must never be rinsed under running water.
WARNING! Risk of injury!
- Switch off the facial cleansing brush 1 every time before you clean it.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Do not dry the brush attachments 6 using a hair drier.
NOTE: clean the brush attachments 6 after each use. This prevents residues of skincare products from collecting in the brush attachments 6.
Brush attachments 6
- Remove the brush attachment 6.
- Clean the brush attachment 6 with hot water and gentle soap to remove any deposits.
- Shake off the excess water and allow the brush attachment 6 to air-dry before you use it again.
- Replace the brush attachments 6 if necessary (see "Ordering brush attachments" on page 11).
Device 1 and battery charger 5
- Wipe the casing of the facial cleansing brush 1 and the battery charger 5 with a damp cloth. Ensure that no water gets into the lower section of the battery charger or the contacts.
- Dry the facial cleansing brush 1 and the battery charger 5 with a soft cloth.
10. Storage

... Place the facial cleansing brush 1 into the battery charger 5 and pull the power unit 8 out of the wall socket when it has charged, or ... use the travel case 7 supplied (Figure B).
11. Disposal
The battery integrated into this device must not be disposed of in household waste. The device must be disposed of properly with the battery installed.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EC. The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products marked as such may not be discarded with normal domestic waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and protect the environment.
Packaging
When disposing of the packaging, make sure you comply with the environmental regulations applicable in your country.
12. Troubleshooting
If your device fails to function as required, please try this checklist first. Perhaps there is only a minor problem, and you can solve it yourself.

15. Warranty of the HOYER Handel GmbH
Dear Customer,
your device is provided with a 3 year warranty starting with the purchase date. In the event of product defects, you are entitled to statutory rights against the vendor. These statutory rights are not restricted by our warranty presented in the following.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts with the purchase date. Please keep the original purchase receipt in a safe place. This document is required to verify the purchase.
If within three years from the purchase date of this product a material or factory defect occurs, the product will be repaired or replaced by us – at our discretion – free of charge to you. This warranty implies that within the period of three years the defective device and the purchase receipt are presented, including a brief written description of the defect and the time it occurred.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. No new warranty period starts with a repair or replacement of the product.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not extended when the warranty has been claimed. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and defects already existing at the time of purchase must be reported immediately upon unpacking. Repairs arising after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to a charge.
Warranty coverage
The device was produced carefully according to strict quality guidelines and tested diligently prior to delivery.
The warranty applies to material or factory defects.
Excluded from the warranty are wear parts subject to normal wear and damages to fragile parts, e.g. switches, batteries, lamps or other parts manufactured from glass.
This warranty expires if the product is damaged, not used as intended or not serviced. For the proper operation of the product, all instructions listed in the operating instructions must be observed carefully. Any form of use and handling that is advised against in the operating instructions or warned against must always be avoided.
The product is only intended for private and not for commercial use. In the case of incorrect and improper treatment, use of force and interventions not performed by our authorised Service Centre, the warranty shall cease.
