VIKTIGE FORHOLDSREGLER
When using this electrical convection heater, always observe basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Please read all these instructions before operating this convection heater, including the following:

- Do not cover or obstruct the top and bottom air vents on the convection heater, as this will cause it to overheat. The warning "Do not cover" and the appropriate symbol have been affixed close to the top air vent of the convection heater.
- Keep flammable materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothing and curtains at least 0.9 m away from the top of the heater. You should also keep them away from the sides and rear.
- This convection heater is equipped with an earthed plug and must be plugged into an earthed socket, as shown. This is a safety feature: DO NOT REPLACE THIS PLUG!
- NEVER OPEN THE CONVECTION HEATER.
- Do not use this convection heater in combination with a programming device, timer, separate remote control system or any other device that switches it on automatically, as this causes a risk of fire if the convection heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- Do not try to use the convection heater if it has malfunctioned, is damaged or has been dropped in any way. If this happens: return the convection
heater to an authorised service facility for examination and/or repair.

- Switch off the convection heater before unplugging it from the mains socket.
- Never insert objects through the air vents of the convection heater, since this may cause electric shock or fire. To prevent fire, never block the air inlets or outlets in any way.
- A convection heater contains hot, arcing parts.
- Never use the convection heater close to places where paint thinners, petrol, paint or other easily flammable liquids are used or stored.
- Use the convection heater only as described in this manual. Any other use may cause injury to persons, damage to property or electric shock.
- Avoid using an extension lead to power the convection heater, since the extension lead may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
- This convection heater uses 8.7 amps during operation. To prevent overloading a circuit, consider this when connecting to a circuit that is
already used to power other appliances.
- Check that the plug is fully inserted into the socket.
- Avoid splashing water onto the convection heater. If the confection heater appears damp, switch it off immediately.
- To avoid burns, use of this heater is not recommended for people with reduced sensitivity to heat or an inability to react.
- Aside from cleaning, all service of the convection heater should be carried out by an authorised service centre. Only authorised service personnel should carry out repair work.
- This appliance features an internal temperature switch to protect against overly high temperatures. This automatically switches off the convection heater if it is overheating. Once the unit cools down, it will switch on again. Do not use this convection heater in the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
- Do not place the convection heater directly below a mains socket.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's service representative or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid danger.

CLEANING THE CONVECTION HEATER
1 Always pull out the plug from the mains socket and allow the convection heater to cool before cleaning.
2 Clean the outside of the convection heater with a damp cloth. Dry off with a dry cloth.
3 Do not use any detergents or abrasives, and do not allow any water to enter the heater.
4 When the heater is not used for long periods of time, it should be protected against dust and stored in a clean, dry place.
OPERATION
NB:
It is normal for the convection heater to emit some odour when it is switched on for the first time, or when it has not been used for a long time. This odour will disappear when the heater has been on for a short time.
1 Choose a suitable location for the convection heater, taking into account the safety instructions above.
2 Insert the plug of the heater into a suitable socket.
3 Turn the thermostat button fully in a clockwise direction to the maximum setting.
4 Switch on the heating elements via the toggle switches on the side of the convection heater. When the heating elements are on, the switches will illuminate. When one switch is on, the heat output is 750 W; when the other switch is on, the heat output is 1250 W. For maximum heat output (2000 W), both switches should be on.
5 When the desired room temperature has been reached, the lights on the element switches will go out. After this, the convection heater will keep the temperature in the room at the set level by switching on and off automatically.
6 Minimum stilling (fully counter-clockwise): in this position (depending on the size of the room), the heater will maintain a temperature above freezing.
7 You may turn on the fan to accelerate the heat convection for faster room heating. This applies to the HCF-2000W model.
