Frequently Asked Questions - HB4 IMETEC

How do I clean the blender?
The jug, lid, and blade assembly are dishwasher safe. For the motor base, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
What should I do if the blender does not start?
Check that the jug is properly locked onto the base. Ensure the power cord is plugged in. If it still doesn't start, check the overload protection; wait a few minutes and try again.
Can I blend hot liquids?
It is not recommended to blend hot liquids directly. Allow them to cool to room temperature before blending to avoid pressure buildup and potential splattering.
How do I crush ice?
Add ice cubes to the jug, fill with a small amount of water, and use the pulse function or highest speed setting for short bursts.
What is the maximum capacity for blending?
The jug has a maximum capacity of 1.5 L, but do not fill above the 'max' line when blending liquids to avoid overflow.
Can I use the blender without the lid?
No, always use the lid securely to prevent spills and injuries. The blender will not operate if the lid is not properly locked.
How do I replace the blade assembly?
Carefully unscrew the blade assembly from the jug. Install the new one and tighten securely. Ensure the rubber seal is properly placed to avoid leaks.
The blender vibrates excessively. What's wrong?
Ensure the blender is on a stable, flat surface. Check that the load is not unbalanced; reduce the amount of ingredients or cut them into smaller pieces.
What spare parts are available?
You can purchase replacement jugs, blade assemblies, lids, and sealing rings from IMETEC authorized service centers or online.
Is the blender suitable for making smoothies?
Yes, it is ideal for smoothies. Use fresh or frozen fruits with liquid, and blend at high speed until smooth.
