To get the most out of your new appliance, please read through these instructions carefully before using it for the first time. Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of the appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
- Read all instructions carefully.
- Incorrect use of the appliance may cause personal injury and damage to the appliance.
- Use the appliance for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Warranty Terms).
- Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• The appliance may only be connected to 230 V, 50 Hz.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when in use, and keep an eye on children.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the supply socket when not in use, when you put on or remove accessories and before cleaning the appliance.
- To prevent fire of shock hazard do not immerse the housing in water or any other liquid, or allow water to come into contact with electrical connections or switches.
- Never use the hand mixer without attachments and without using a bowl.
- Do not operate the appliance if the cord or the appliance is damaged. Should the appliance fails to operate or should it be damaged, please contact an authorized service centre for all repairs. In case the appliance is misused or operated in any manner other than described in these instructions for use, no liability will be undertaken for possible damage.
- Take care that neither the housing nor the mains lead of the hand mixer get in touch with hot surfaces (such as hot plates of an electric stove) or any other source of heat.
- Do not unplug the appliance from the mains supply socket by pulling on the mains lead.
• Take care that the mains lead does not trail over the front of the work surface.
- This appliance is not suitable for commercial or outdoor use.
• This appliance is for household use only.
- Remove beaters or dough hooks from hand mixer before washing them.
- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock or injury.
WARNING: After you have switched off the appliance, always allow the attachments to stop rotating before you attempt to touch them.
WARNING: Do not let the hand mixer operate continuously for more than 5 minute. Always switch off the motor and allow it to cool before re-using the appliance.
Cord, plug and mains socket
- Check regularly that the cord and plug are not damaged and do not use the appliance if this is the case, or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way. If the appliance, cord or plug is damaged, the appliance must be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by an authorized repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
• Never try to repair the appliance yourself. - Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the appliance cord or any extension cable.
- Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
- Do not roll the cord up or wind it around the appliance.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
- Read the safety instructions through carefully.
- Before using the mixer, wash beaters, dough hooks and bowl in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
To Attach Beaters/Dough hooks
- Be sure cord is unplugged from electrical outlet.
WARNING: Injury Hazard: Unplug mixer before touching beaters or other accessories. Failure to do so can result in broken bones, cuts or bruises.
- Slide the Speed selector to OFF.
- Insert one beater/dough hook at a time, placing stem end of beaters into the opening at the bottom of the mixer. Press and twist lightly until it clicks into position.

Note: Make sure to insert the beater/dough hook with collar into the larger opening, while the beater/dough hook without collar into the smaller opening.
RETRACTABLE CORD
The hand mixer has retractable cord for an easy storing. To safely retract cord, hold the unplugged cord end with one hand, and press the cord retractor button with the other hand. Guide the cord safely and evenly into the mixer. If cord gets hung up while retracting, release button and press again until cord is fully retracted.
NOTE: Do not pull the cord too far to the end, otherwise you could damage the cord.
CAUTION: Do not allow children to use the Cord Retraction feature, as the cord end may cause injury.
BURST OF SPEED
For additional power at any speed, press and hold down the Burst button. As soon as you let go of the button, the mixer goes back to whatever speed the mixer is set for.
NOTE: Do not use the Burst button for more than two minutes at a time, otherwise the motor may overheat.
PLACED UPRIGHT
The mixer is designed to be placed upright. It can take a rest while you add ingredients or refer to a recipe. TURN the MIXER OFF. And then place the mixer upright, just adjacent to the mixing bowl, so that the ingredients attached to the tools dip into the bowl.
NEVER let the mixer rest when the mixer is running.
TO REMOVE BEATERS/DOUGH HOOKS
- Unplug the mixer.
- Set the speed control to OFF position.
- Scrape excess patter with a plastic spatula.
- For an easy removal of the mixing tools, grasp the stems of the tools with one hand, and press the EJECT button with the other hand.
NOTE: NEVER push ejector button the while mixer is running.
GENERAL MIXING GUIDE
- Place beaters, dough hooks into the ingredients before switching on to avoid splashes.
- Begin blending or mixing at a low speed.
- Ingredients can be added slowly during mixing.
- Turn off the mixer as needed. To scrape sides and bottom of bowl with a plastic spatula.
- When mixing is completed, turn the unit to OFF and wait till the tools stop spinning before removing the mixer from the bowl.
- If your mixing bowl is too full you will put an excessive strain on the motor.
- For the right speed refer to the end of these instructions.
- Use a large mixing bowl so that the ingredients spread out for easier mixing. Butter and margarine should be at room temperature.
- Add flour one cup at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Warning: Do not stick knife, metal spoons, fork and so on into bowl when operating.
Note: Remove the beaters only at the OFF setting, and make sure the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet before removing the beaters.
The following mixing guide is a suggestion for selecting the best mixing speed for your purpose. Begin on speed 1 and increase to desired speed.

CLEANING
Before cleaning, always disconnect from the mains. Clean the beaters and the dough hooks in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher.
WARNING: Never immerse the housing in water.
To clean the housing, wipe with a soft damp cloth. Do not use scouring creams or powders.
FOR UNITED KINGDOM ONLY
Plug wiring:
This product is fitted with a BS 1363 3-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 3 amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be refitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used. You must also check if the socket outlets in your home fit with the plug of the appliance. If the socket outlet in your home does not fit with the plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely as insertion of the plug into the socket is likely to cause electric hazard.
As this product is a class II appliance, the pin of BS plug for earth connection is false.
