Frequently Asked Questions - HA-260SS Star-Light

How do I install the range hood?
The hood should be installed at a height of 65-75 cm above the cooking surface. Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the weight. Connect the duct to the outside or prepare for recirculation mode. Refer to the manual for detailed steps.
Can I use it in recirculation mode?
Yes, you can use it with a carbon filter (sold separately). The air will be filtered and recirculated into the kitchen.
How often should I clean the grease filters?
Clean the aluminum grease filters every month with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher. Dry them thoroughly before reinstalling.
How do I replace the carbon filter?
Replace the carbon filter every 6 months. Open the filter cover, remove the old filter, insert a new one, and close the cover. Ensure the filter is properly seated.
What type of light bulbs does it use?
It uses two 40W halogen bulbs with a G9 base. You can replace them with compatible LED bulbs if desired.
Why is the hood noisy?
Normal noise level is 60-65 dB. Excessive noise may indicate a blocked filter, loose parts, or duct issues. Check filters and tighten any screws.
Does it have a timer function?
Yes, it has an auto-off timer. You can set it to turn off after a certain period (e.g., 15 minutes). Refer to the control panel instructions.
Can I connect it to a 4-inch duct?
The hood requires a 150mm (6 inch) duct. Using a smaller diameter will reduce performance and increase noise.
How do I reset the filter alarm?
After cleaning or replacing filters, press and hold the speed button for 3 seconds until the alarm indicator turns off.
Where can I find spare parts?
Contact the Star-Light customer service or authorized service centers. You can also order online through their parts portal.
