How do I turn on the Wilfa WFB-1 electric blanket?

Press the On/Off button on the control unit. Then use the heat button to select your desired temperature level (L, 1, 2, 3, H). The selected level will appear on the display.

Can I wash the heating blanket?

Yes, the blanket can be hand washed at up to 30°C. Always unplug the control unit before washing. Never immerse the control unit in water. Allow the blanket to dry completely before reconnecting the control unit.

Does the blanket have an auto shut-off feature?

Yes, as an extra safety feature, the heating blanket will turn off automatically after 3 hours. To restart, simply press the On/Off button again.

Can children use this electric blanket?

The blanket should not be used by small children or persons insensitive to heat. Children may use it only if the controls have been pre-set by a parent or guardian, and they are adequately instructed. Supervision is required.

What should I do if the blanket is damaged?

- Before connecting the appliance to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.

- Check the heating blanket carefully before each use.

- Do not operate the heating blanket if you notice wear or damage to the blanket, switch or wires.

- Only use the heating blanket for the purpose described in these operating instructions.

- The heating blanket should not be used by small children or persons who are disabled, in need of care or insensitive to heat.

• Children must be supervised when using the blanket.

- The heating blanket may not be operated while folded, creased or wrapped around the mattress.

- During use, the control switch and lead must not be placed on or under the heating blanket or be otherwise covered in any way.

- No safety pins or other pointed or sharp objects should be attached to or pierce the heating blanket.

• Never leave the heating blanket unattended while switched on.

• The device is only for private use and is not to be used in hospitals.

- Never handle a heating blanket that has fallen into water. If this happens, unplug the blanket from the mains power supply immediately.

- Do not use the heating blanket in a damp or humid environment, or if the heating blanket itself is damp. Only use the blanket when it is completely dry.

- Never expose the control switch or leads to moisture of any kind.

- Keep the mains lead away from hot surfaces.

- Never carry, pull or twist the heating blanket by the mains lead and do not allow the lead to become tangled or snagged.

• Do not repair the heating blanket yourself in the event of damage or malfunction. Repairs should only be carried out by an authorized specialist dealer or suitably qualified personnel.
• The heating blanket may only be operated using the supplied control unit.
• When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
• Should you have any health concerns, consult your doctor before using the heating blanket.
• If you experience persistent pains in the muscles and joints you should inform your doctor immediately. Persistent pains can be a symptom of serious illness.
• If you experience any pain or discomfort while using the unit, discontinue use immediately.

Use

Using the heating blanket (1), you can gently

warm and relax your whole body. Snuggle up under the extra-soft

blanket for a pleasant, cosy feeling of well-being.

The heating blanket features an electric temperature control

that precisely regulates the warmth supplied according to the chosen setting (1-2-3-4). The two outer layers of the three-layer blanket are made of fluffy microfiber fleece.

The easy to care for material and the detachable operating element make the blanket and-washable

at up to 30°C.

Operation of controller

To turn on the unit push "On/Off button.

Push the heat button to set your desired temperature with heat levels “L-1.2.3----H”. Your setting will appear on display.

As an extra safety feature the heating blanket will turn off automatically after 3 hours. Push "On/Off" button to restart the unit.

Cleaning and maintenance

Before washing the heating blanket, unplug it from the mains outlet and let it cool down.

Unplug the control unit (2) from the heating blanket using the connector on the underside.

You may hand-wash the blanket at up to 30^ C.

Never immerse the control unit (2) in water. Moisture must never be allowed to get into the unit. . To dry, lay the heating blanket flat on a moisture absorbent towel or mat.

When the heating blanket is completely dry, it should be reconnected to the control unit (2) in the correct manner. The heating blanket may only be operated with the supplied control unit.

.When storing the heating blanket, allow it to cool down before folding. Store in a clean, dry place.

Disposal

This product must not be disposed of with normal domestic waste.

All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances..

Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for information about disposal of this product.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your dealer or service centre in the case of a claim under warranty. When sending in the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state the defect.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period is two years from the date of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase must be evidenced by the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period for the unit or replacement parts.

4. The following are excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage due to improper treatment, e.g. nonobservance of the user instructions.

b. All damage due to tampering or repairs carried out by the customer or unauthorized third parties.

c. Damage caused during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.

d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

1. No liability can be taken for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit, even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
