Place the assembled appliance on a flat, steady, smooth and clean surface at a height of at least 85 cm, out of the reach of children (see sec. I. SAFETY WARNINGS). Leave enough space to ensure sufficient ventilation. Plug the power cord connector A6 to an electric socket and make sure the power cord is not damaged, it goes under the toaster or through any sharp or hot surfaces. The socket must be readily accessible so that the appliance could be easily disconnected from the mains in case of danger. Now the appliance is ready for use. A red signaling light A2 will come on, signaling connection to electric power supply. The plates will start to heat. During preparation of food, the green signaling light will come on and off which means that the thermostat keeps the proper temperature. When the preparation is complete, open the lid and remove the food (using e.g. a wooden spatula).
