Frequently Asked Questions - RSD084GS8SS Goddess

How do I adjust the temperature on my Goddess RSD084GS8SS fridge?
Turn the thermostat dial inside the fridge compartment. A higher number means colder temperature. Wait 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.
How do I reverse the door opening direction?
Remove the top hinge cover, unscrew the hinge, and lift the door off. Swap the hinge brackets to the opposite side and reattach the door. Refer to the manual for detailed steps.
Why is there water pooling inside my fridge?
This may be due to a clogged defrost drain. Clean the drain hole at the back of the fridge with a pipe cleaner or warm water. Also check that the drain pan is properly positioned.
How often should I defrost my refrigerator?
Defrost when the ice layer reaches about 3-5 mm thick. For manual defrost models, unplug the fridge and leave the door open until ice melts. Do not use sharp tools to remove ice.
What is the recommended temperature setting for the fridge?
The optimal temperature for the fridge compartment is between 3°C and 5°C (37°F - 41°F). Adjust the dial to achieve this range.
How do I clean the condenser coils?
Unplug the fridge and locate the coils at the back or below. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust and debris. Clean every 6 months for efficiency.
My fridge is making unusual noises. Is that normal?
Some sounds are normal, such as the compressor hum, coolant flow, or ice cracking. However, loud or persistent rattling may indicate that the fridge is not level. Adjust the leveling legs.
How do I change the interior light bulb?
Unplug the fridge. Remove the light cover by gently prying it off. Unscrew the old bulb and replace with a new one of the same type (usually 15W max). Reattach the cover.
Can I store hot food in the refrigerator?
No, allow hot food to cool to room temperature before placing it inside. Hot food increases the internal temperature and strains the compressor, potentially reducing efficiency.
What spare parts are available for this model?
Common spare parts include glass shelves, door bins, crisper drawer, thermostat, door gasket, and light bulb. Check with Goddess or authorized dealers for availability.
