Connection to set-top box, power from set-top box.

Connect the antenna coaxial cable to the external amplifier (included) and connect the amplifier's coaxial cable to the connector of your digital set-top box. If you do not have the IEC connector on the set-top box, use the supplied converter from the IEC connector to F connector. Then connect the USB power cable from the amplifier to the set-top box.

Connect to set-top box, power AC / DC adapter

Connect the antenna coaxial cable to the external amplifier and connect the amplifier's coaxial cable to the connector of your digital set-top box. If you do not have the IEC connector on the set-top box, use the supplied adapter from the IEC connector to the F connector. Connecting to a TV (for TVs with built-in tuner)

1: Connect the coaxial antenna cable to the external amplifier and connect the amplifier's coaxial cable to the TV. Then, plug the amplifier's USB power cable into the USB connector on the TV.
2: Connect the antenna coaxial cable to the external amplifier and connect the amplifier's coaxial cable to the TV's antenna connector. Plug the power cord of the amplifier into the adapter and the adapter into a 220-240V outlet.

Connection without external amplifier (for strong signal area)

Connect to a digital receiver.

Connect the coaxial antenna cable to the antenna connector of the digital receiver (set-top box). If you do not have the IEC connector on the set-top box, use the supplied adapter from the IEC connector to the F connector.

Notice:

• The EVOLVEO Xany 1 can be used with or without an amplifier, depending on which connection gives you the best signal. Using the amplifier provides the best performance in most situations, so try using an external amplifier first. If you find that you can not tune some of the channels you normally receive, try to connect Xany 1 without an amplifier.
  • Turn off the TV and turn off the power of the amplifier in the storm.
• If the antenna is not in use, turn off the power of the external amplifier.
