Frequently Asked Questions - HB 981 HYUNDAI

How long can I use the blender continuously?
The maximum continuous operation time is 60 seconds. After that, allow the motor unit to cool down for 1-5 minutes before using again.
Can I blend hot liquids?
Yes, but be very careful as hot liquid may spurt out due to sudden boiling. Do not process food at temperatures exceeding 60 °C. Use a container with enough space and hold the appliance firmly.
How do I clean the blender?
Unplug the appliance. The motor unit, blender stick shaft, and gear box adapters should only be wiped with a damp cloth. Other parts (measuring bowl, chopper bowl, lid, whisk) are dishwasher safe. Always handle the sharp blade with care.
What can I chop with the chopper attachment?
The chopper is for chopping, mixing, and blending tough food like meat (boneless, tendonless), herbs, nuts, hard cheese, bread, hardboiled eggs, and onions. Do not use for dough or very hard items like ice cubes, coffee beans, nutmeg, or grains.
Why does my blender stop during use?
Possible causes: the appliance has overheated (let it cool down 1-5 minutes), the power cord is loose, or the safety switch is not pressed properly. Check that the accessories are correctly assembled.
Can I use the blender without the measuring bowl?
Yes, you can use the hand blender directly in a saucepan or other suitable vessel, but avoid overheating. Ensure the vessel is stable and deep enough to prevent splashing.
How do I attach the whisk or blender stick?
Slide the adapter (blender stick, whisk gear box adapter) onto the motor unit and turn it until it locks. To remove, turn in the opposite direction. For the chopper, place the blade in the bowl, add food, attach the blade gear box adapter, then mount the motor unit and turn to lock.
What does the variable speed regulator do?
The speed regulator (only on model HB983) allows you to continuously adjust the motor speed by turning the regulator while holding the switch. This gives you more control over blending consistency.
Is the appliance safe to use around children?
No. This appliance must not be used by children. Keep it and its cord out of reach of children. Persons with reduced capabilities should only use it under supervision. Always unplug when not in use.
Can I wash the motor unit in water?
No. Never immerse the motor unit, blender stick shaft, or gear box adapters in water or any liquid. Clean them only with a damp cloth.
