Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Install backup battery power: push out the battery compartment door (at the bottom of unit), insert 2 AA size batteries (not included). Make sure that the inserted battery is in correct position according to the engraved positive and negative polarity symbol. The battery power is used to backup clock and alarm setting only.

Using the unit on a table: You can put the unit on an even table. Pull out the stand to keep a better sight and adequate space for sound, as the speakers are equipped at the bottom of the unit.

Wall-mount the unit

Important: You should only use the mounting accessories (included) when you mount the unit. Use of unapproved accessories that have not been designed specifically for this unit may lead to safety hazards.

a. Retract the bottom stand before mounting the unit; use the provided cabinet mounting template to locate where you want to mount the unit. Drill the mounting holes directly then done, remove the template. To reduce the risk of danger, please consult the technician if the location you want to mount the unit is firm enough to hold weights and safe before you do the mounting.

b. Push out the mounting plate (refer to illustration (a)).

c. If you find unit has to be mounted too high to reach, use the supplied long plastic poles. Insert the long plastic poles into the position holes (refer to illustration (b)).

d. Position the mounting plate and fix it on the mounting place with the supplied screws.

e. Slide the unit back to the mounting plate.

Caution: To reduce the risk of fire, do not place any heating or cooking apparatus beneath this unit.

Power connection and unit on: loosen the attached power cable, then insert the power plug into the household AC wall-mount socket to get the power source. The display will light on, and auto scan and save the available FM stations. Short press down the ON/OFF knob to standby on/off the unit.

Clock time setting: in standby mode, press and hold the setup button for 2 seconds until "24H" digits flash on the display, then rotate the timer knob to select the time format between 12 or 24 hours; press the setup button again to confirm the selection, and skip to set up hours; repeat the previous operation to finish the rest of the setting for hour/minute/year/month/day/RDS/DT (auto dim on/off).

Clock time updating synchronization by RDS: When you select RDS on, there will be a clock icon appear under the clock time on the display; the clock can update synchronously in case there is a clock signal from the broadcasting radio station.

Alarm setting: in standby mode, press and hold the alarm button for 2 seconds until the hour digit flashes on the display, rotate the timer knob to adjust the hours, press the alarm button again to confirm your selection and skip to minute setting; repeat the previous operation to finish the setting for minute/alarm source (radio/buzz/off).

Note:

a. The unit will revert to standby mode automatically in case of no further operation for the last 10 seconds.

b. The alarm will be activated in case of alarming time is being, short press down the ON/OFF knob to cancel the alarm voice, and the alarm setting will remain, and wake up again at the coming time of the next day.

Countdown time setting for cooking: the unit includes 2 set countdown timers (T1 and T2) which are good for cooking. The unit will alert by buzzer in case of the setting time is being. In standby mode, rotate the timer knob to adjust the timer 1 range between 1 min to 3 hours 59 mins, press down the timer knob to confirm the setting, then the T1 icon and countdown time information will show on the display; short press the Timer 1/2 button until the T2 icon flashes on the display, and rotate the timer knob to adjust the timer 2's setting range between 5 minutes to 3 hours 55 minutes, press down the timer knob to confirm it. Then the timer 2 will start to work.

Note:

a. The time format will be "MM: SS" shown on the display in case of the setting less than 5 minutes; and switch to "HH:MM" format in case of setting equal or above 5 minutes.

b. The unit will send a short alarm each when the remaining countdown time arrives at 30s, 15s, 10s, 5s; and become continuous alarming when the time is being; short press down the ON/OFF knob to cancel the alarm.

c. When only one countdown time is set up, regardless of whether it is Timer1 or Timer2, press and hold the timer knob to cancel it. If both Timer1 and Timer2 are set, short press the time1/2 button twice, then press and hold the timer knob to cancel the time2 setting.

Radio operation

Before listening to the radio, fully extend the tail antenna for better reception. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the output level for listening. If there is noise when tuning to a station, you can try switching between mono and stereo modes (long press the mono/stereo button) for clearer sound.

Scan and all-in-one scan: press and hold the search +/- button for 2 seconds to automatically scan for available stations in the upward or downward frequency direction; the unit will stop and broadcast the available station. Press and hold the AMS button for 2 seconds to automatically scan and save available stations (supports up to 20 stations). Short press the preset +/- button to switch between preset stations. The unit also automatically scans and saves available stations when you connect power for the first time.

Station manual memory: when you tune to a favorite station by scanning, short press the memory button first, then press preset +/- to select the desired preset station number, and short press the memory button again to confirm. The current station will then be saved.

Bluetooth operation

This product includes Bluetooth functionality, which allows wireless playback of music from other Bluetooth devices (such as smartphones, tablets, etc.).

a. Short press the power/function knob to power on the unit. Press and hold the power/function knob for 2 seconds to switch to Bluetooth mode. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the output volume level.

b. Enable the Bluetooth function on your device and search for available devices (refer to your device's manual for operation). Then check the available Bluetooth devices on the list. Select "BP KR14BT" for pairing. A short notice sound will come from the speaker after successful pairing.

c. Select and play music from your Bluetooth device. Adjust the volume level on both your device and the radio side. The sound will then play wirelessly through the speaker.

d. Short press the preset +/- button to select the previous or next track. Short press the play/pause knob to play or pause music playback. Press and hold the play/pause knob for 2 seconds to disconnect the Bluetooth connection with the current device and search for another device to pair.
