Getting to know ADAM Connected Web Console
ADAM Connected Web Console is a web-based client to help you keep track of multiple devices on a web-based server system. Use ADAM Connected Web Console to easily manage and monitor your ASUS ADAM powered devices.
NOTE: The screenshots in this manual are for reference only. Actual screenshots may vary.
Log in to your account
You will need a login account to use ADAM, register with ASUS to obtain a login account.
To login to ADAM:
- Connect to the Internet, then open your internet browser and go to https://adam.asus.com/asus/en/login
- Enter your username and password.
- Click Log in to enter the administration console.
NOTE: Click the language drop down box to change the language.

The home screen will appear after you login to the ADAM Connected Web Console.

NOTE: The menu tab may be hidden on some browsers. Click the icon on the top-left corner for the menu tab.

Profile
The profile page displays your profile information and allows you to edit your profile or change your password.
Click your username to enter the profile page.

To change your profile:
- Click your username on the top-right corner to enter the profile page.
- Click Edit Profile to enter edit mode.

- Change the respective fields.
- Click Save to complete.

NOTE: Click to add additional information.
To change your password:
- Click your username on the top-right corner to enter the profile page.
- Click Change password.

- Enter your current password and new password.
- Click Confirm to complete.

Device Manager
Device Manager collaborates all the devices in the system into an easy-to-access page. You can add, delete, modify, view the current state of the devices, and group devices for easier management.
Add New Device
Before a device can be managed with ADAM Connected Web Console, it must first be added into the system. You can add devices manually, or upload a .csv file for batch import.
To add devices manually:
- Click Add New Device from the menu tab.
- Check License Validity, then select a license from the available list.
NOTE:
- If you did not check the License Validity checkbox, the available list of licenses will not show.
- If you did not assign a license at this step, you can still assign a license at a later stage. Refer to the Bind the license to the device section for more details.
- Enter the device information into the corresponding fields.
- Click + to add device information for more devices.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for other devices, then click SUBMIT to complete.

NOTE:
• A required field is denoted with an asterisk (*). - A customized field will be displayed if one has been created and is active. Please refer to the Device fields section for more information on creating customized fields. - The IMEI, MAC, and SN of a device can be found on the device under Settings > About > Status.
To add devices by batch import:
- Click Add new device from the menu tab.
- Check License Validity, then select a license from the available list.
NOTE:
- If you did not check the License Validity checkbox, the available list of licenses will not show.
- If you did not assign a license at this step, you can still assign a license at a later stage. Refer to the Bind the license to the device section for more details.
- Click the Upload .csv file tab.
- Click Choose and locate the .csv file.
- Click SUBMIT to complete.

NOTE:
- Click Download .csv file example to download a sample file.
- Check the format of the .csv file if an error occurs. Only UTF-8 encoded files are supported.
File format for the .csv file
The device information for the .csv file requires each row to contain one device with the following fields separated with a comma:
Device name, IMEI, MAC, Serial number
NOTE: The format for the .csv file must also be adjusted to include the customized field in the correct order. Please refer to the Device fields section for more information on creating customized fields.
An example for Device1:

Keep the field blank if any information is missing, such as IMEI. An example for Device2 without an IMEI:

Device group
To facilitate the management of a huge number of devices, administrators can create device groups and group users and devices together.

Add new group
To add a new group:
- Click Device group from the menu tab.
- Enter the new group name.
- Select the parent group.
NOTE:
- A parent group must be created before sub-groups can be created. Leave the Parent group option blank to create a parent group. Additional sub-groups can be created and selected under the Parent group option.
4. Click ADD to complete.

Remove group
To remove a group, click the icon behind the group to remove it.

NOTE: A group cannot be removed if there are devices in that group or its sub-groups.
Group-device management
Click on a group to enter its device group management page. The groups can be renamed in this page, and devices in the group can be selected for batch operations.

NOTE:
- Only 100 devices can be shown on the screen at once. Click more... to display more devices, or click Show all to display all the devices. Devices that are not assigned to any group will be located in Ungrouped devices.

Click the 📄 icon next to the group name and enter your new group name in the field, then click RENAME to complete.

Group operations
Various group operations can be performed to devices in the group.
Rename
Rename devices in this group. The device name will change into an input field for you to enter a new device name. Enter the new device name, then click SUBMIT to complete.
Delete
Delete devices in this group. Tick the devices you want to delete, then click SUBMIT to complete.
WARNING! A device will no longer be under administration once it is deleted, and must be entered as a new device again.
Activate
Activate devices in this group. A device must be activated to perform assigned operations. Devices that are not activated will not show its status or allow remote control. Tick the devices you want to activate, then click SUBMIT to complete.
NOTE:
• A device in an activated state will have a white background. - Activation requires an internet connection, and the respond time will depend on the device connection speed. - There will be a few seconds of delay before the activation is executed. Refresh the page again later to get the proper activation state.
Deactivate
Deactivate devices in this group. Tick the devices you want to deactivate, then click SUBMIT to complete.
NOTE:
• A device not in an activated state will have a blue background. Any provisioning commands and deactivation commands will be issued when the device connects with the server.
Move out this group
Move devices out of this group. Tick the devices you want to move out of this group, then click SUBMIT to complete.
Move to
Move devices to a selected group. Tick the devices you want to move, select from the available groups in the drop down box and click SUBMIT.
Device status
Device status can be viewed on this page, and commands can be sent to the device to perform specific actions.

NOTE: The list is limited to display 100 devices per page. Click MORE on the bottom right of the page to display more devices, or click Show all to display all the devices.

Click on a device from the device status page to view its status and send commands to that device.
Click the 📄 icon next to the device name and enter your new device name in the field, then click RENAME to complete.

Operations for your device. Refer to the Device operations section for more details.
NOTE:
- The available options and functions will vary depending on the license assigned to the device.
- If no license is assigned to the device, only the information tab will be available.
Device operations
Information
Displays device information. Click the icon next to the field to edit information, then click Modify to complete.

Function
Send commands to your device, or display information of the device on your screen. You can also sync the command to multiple devices at once.

Remote lock - Use a password to lock the device. You can also send a message with or without a loud ring.
Send message - Send message to device with or without a loud ring.
Remote wipe - Reset the device to the default factory settings.
Get wallpaper - Download wallpaper used on the device.
Display wallpaper - Display the wallpaper on the display device.
NOTE: This option is only available after using the Get wallpaper option.
Set wallpaper - Set device wallpaper.
Install APP - Install an APP on the device.
Open URL - Open a page on the device.
Shutdown / Reboot - Shut down or restart the device.
Display screen capture - Display the screenshot of the current device.
Screen capture - Take a screenshot of the current device.
Display camera capture (Front) - Display the photo taken using the front camera.
Display camera capture (Rear) - Display the photo taken using the rear camera.
Camera capture - Take a photo using the front or rear camera.
APP
Remotely manage APPs on the device. You can remotely install, remove, hide, and unhide APPs on the device.

All: All APPs on the device
Show: APPs visible in the device app tray
Hide: APPs hidden from the device app tray
KIOSK: Currently selected KIOSK APPs
Whitelist: APPs on the whitelist
NOTE: Click Update APP icon to obtain the APP icons.
To change the APP setting, check the APP(s) that you want to change, then click Settings.

Show - Show hidden APP in the APP tray.
Hide - Hide APP in the APP tray.
Remove - Remove APP.
NOTE: Pre-installed APPs can be hidden, but cannot be removed.
Kiosk - Set the APP to Kiosk mode. Kiosk mode allows a single APP to have full control over the system, users cannot leave the current application or run other applications.
Restore - Restore Kiosk APP setting and remove Kiosk mode.
Launch - Launch an APP on the device.
Settings
Change the settings of the device.

Volume - Adjust device volume.
Browser ACL - Limit pages that default browser can browse.

Send configuration - Send a configuration file (configuration.data) to the device.
NOTE: The configuration.data file is created by using the Export configuration feature in the ADAM client app.
Status control
Manage settings that the user can access on the device.

Block keys and status bar - Show or hide the HOME key, BACK key, Recent APP key, and status bar. You can also enable or disable the settings shortcut in the status bar.
Navigation bar - Show or hide the navigation bar.
Allow screen lock type - Set the device screen lock type.
Factory reset - Enable or disable factory reset function.
Force FOTA - Set the way the system may update using FOTA.
Access device settings - Enable or disable access to the device settings menu.
Camera - Enable or disable the device front camera or rear camera.
Allow screen capture - Allow or disallow the device to take screenshots.
Bluetooth - Set the Bluetooth behavior on the device.
Allow APPs to be installed - Allow or disallow installation of APPs.
Allow APPs to be uninstalled - Allow or disallow removal of APPs.
Network - Set the WIFI connection behavior on the device.
USB - Allows you to change various USB settings.
Debugging - Allow or disallow the device to use USB debugging.
Storage - Allow or disallow access to the internal storage on the device.
Mass storage - Allow or disallow the device to read external mass storage devices (such as flash drive and memory card).
TeamViewer - Allow or disallow the device to be remotely controlled through TeamViewer QuickSupport/Host.
NOTE: TeamViewer QuickSupport/Host can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the TeamViewer website.
Bind the license to the device
If you did not select a license when adding a new device, you can bind a license to the device on this page.
To bind a license to a device:
- Click Bind the license to the device from the menu tab.
- Select a license from the available list.
- Check the devices from the list.
- Click Assign to complete binding the license.

NOTE: The list is limited to display 100 devices per page. Click more... on the bottom right of the page to display more devices, or click Show all to display all the devices.
License status
The license period will still start from the first activation date. You can view the license product name and due date on the Bind the license to the device page.
Product Name: ADAM Connected Due date: Status: License has been bound but not activated yet.
Product Name: ADAM Due date: Status: The device comes bundled with ADAM and there is no expiration date.

Status: License has been bound and activated.
NOTE:
- If a device has a license bound but not activated yet, the license period will not start until it is activated.
- If a license has been activated and deactivated at a later time, the license period will still count from the first activation date.
Commands
History commands
This page displays a record of each command sent to the devices.

Search filters History command list. Click on the command for more details.
NOTE: The list is limited to display 16 records per page. Click the links on the bottom of the page to display more records.

The detailed record of each command sent to the devices can be viewed by clicking on a command.

NOTE: Some tabs under Command send status contain details on a failed command. Click RESEND to resend a command that has failed previously.

Whitelist management
This page displays the APPs that can access the device API.
To add a new APP to the whitelist:
- Click Choose, then locate the .apk file.
- Click SUBMIT to complete.
NOTE:
- The APP file name, Package name, and Hash key will be shown on the table below if it was added successfully.
- Click Send to device to send the whitelist to the device.

Site management
Device fields
You can create a customized field to be displayed for the device information. Click Add new field to create a new field, then click Save to complete.

NOTE:
• You can drag a field to modify its position. - Click the icon next to the field to edit information, then click Modify to complete. - Click the icon behind the field to delete it.
Adjusting field position
After creating or modifying Device fields, click Save to enter the Adjust device field display page. You can drag a field to modify its position, then click Save to complete.
