How do I connect the receiver to my TV?
Use an HDMI cable to connect the receiver's HDMI port to your TV's HDMI input. Alternatively, use the mini AV adapter for composite video/audio. Make sure your TV is set to the correct input source.
How can I record a program?
Connect a USB storage device (hard disk or USB stick) to the USB port. Press the REC button on the remote during a live program to start recording. Stop by pressing STOP. You can also set timer recordings via the menu: Menu > Programme list > Timer list.

Power supply:

Before commissioning, please check the correct operating voltage of your power supply. The operating voltage of the device is AC 100\~240 V, 50/60Hz, DC 12 V, 1.5A.

Overload:

Do not overload the wall outlet, extension cord, or adapter. Do not use a damaged power cord or touch it with a wet hand as this may result in electric shock.

Liquid:

The device must not be exposed to dripping, splashing or other liquids.

Ventilation:

Keep the ventilation slots on the top of the unit free to allow sufficient air circulation inside the unit. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or other sources of heat, such as a heater. Do not place any other electrical devices on top of the unit.

3. Connecting the receiver

  1. Connect the coaxial cable to the LNB. (You can connect an LNB directly to the LNB IN, or several LNBs via a DiSEqC switch or multi-switch.
  2. Connect the HDMI cable to your TV.
  3. Make sure that your television set is equipped with the the corresponding input channel is selected (e.g. HDMI 1).
  4. Now connect the power cable and start the receiver. The device is already programmed with a station list at the factory. and immediately ready for use.

4. Main menu

Switch on the receiver. You can select the desired language and time zone during initial commissioning. Press EXIT to complete the initial installation and load the programmed station list. Now press the MENU button to enter the main menu.

The main menu consists of:

With the ◀▶ keys you can select between the respective menu items. Use the ▲▼ buttons to navigate through the submenus. Use the OK key to switch to a submenu. Press the EXIT key to exit the respective menu.

4.1 Programm list

The following submenus are available in the menu item Program list:

Select the TV channel list and confirm with OK. A TV channel list is already programmed in the factory setting, which you can now change.

Note: Press the SAT button to select your favorite satellites. Below are the options for changing them:

FAV (FAV button)

Press the FAV button to add stations to a specific favorite group. Select a channel and confirm with OK. A window will then appear in which you can add the station to a group. Select between the preset favourite groups and confirm with OK. The selection is indicated by a heart symbol. Repeat the procedure until all the desired stations have been assigned to a favourite group. Press EXIT to return to the TV channel list.

LOCK (Red button)

Press the RED button to activate the lock mode. Now select the channel you want to lock and confirm with OK. A password prompt will appear. The default password is „0000“ at delivery. After entering the password, the transmitter is locked. This is indicated by a lock symbol. Repeat the procedure for all transmitters you want to lock. From now on, the password must always be entered when you switch to this station. The password can be changed in the MENU under System -> Parental lock. Exit the lock mode with EXIT.

SKIP (Green button)

Press the GREEN button to activate the skip mode. Select the station you want to skip and press OK to confirm. The mark is indicated by an arrow symbol. In the future, the selected stations will be skipped when you scroll through the station list. Press EXIT to exit the skip mode.

MOVE (Yellow button)

Press the YELLOW button to activate the move mode. Now select one or more stations you want to move. This is indicated by a double arrow symbol. Then use the ▲▼ buttons to move to the desired position in the station list. Press the INFO button (i) to move the previously marked stations to this position. Repeat the process with all the stations you want to move. Press EXIT to exit the move mode.

EDIT (Blue button)

Press the BLUE button to make further settings.

Red button: To sort the channels, e.g. from A-Z, Z-A, Free, Encrypted, ...

Green button: To rename a station. Use the color buttons on the remote control to select various functions are available to you.

Blue button: To delete channels. Press OK to highlight all the stations you want to delete from the list. This is indicated by an X symbol. To delete the stations, exit the menu with EXIT.

A message box will appear indicating whether you really want to delete. Press YES to delete, NO to cancel.

Here you can set one or more timers to recall or record the programme you have selected at a certain time. The receiver automatically switches to this channel at the selected time or records it on the external USB storage medium.

Select the first timer slot and confirm with OK. Then a new window opens to set the respective data such as date and time.

TV/Radio Select whether to turn on a TV or radio program.

Repeat Select when the timer should be active (Once, Daily, Weekly).

Channel Select which program the receiver should switch to.

Wakeup Select on which day (date) the timer should be active.

Start time Select when (time) the receiver should turn on.

End time Select when (time) the receiver should switch off again.

Mode Select whether to start a recording with this timer or to switch to the programme only.

Once you have made all the settings, press „Save“ at the bottom of the screen to transfer the timer to the timer list. Repeat the procedure if you want to set more timers. A total of 20 different timers are available.

Select this item to delete all programs. You will be asked for the password first. The default password is 0000.

You can change the password in the menu under „System“ ▶ „Parental Lock“.

WARNING:

If you delete all programs, this process cannot be undone!

This menu lists all available satellites. Use the ▲▼ buttons to select one or more satellites that you want to receive with the receiver and confirm them with OK. The selection is marked with a hack symbol.

Add satellite

Press the red button to add a satellite. A window appears, enter a name and the longitude. With the colored buttons on the remote control, various functions are available.

Edit satellite

With the green button you can change a satellite. A window will appear where you can change the name and the longitude. With the colored buttons on the remote control, various functions are available.

Delete satellite

With the yellow button you can delete a satellite.

Transponder

Press the GOTO button on the remote control to add or edit a transponder. The list shows all available transponders of each satellite are listed. From time to time new transponder will be added or changed by satellite operators.

With the colored buttons on the remote control, various functions are available. The procedure is the (add, modify, or delete) the same as in the satellite.

4. Main menu

With the blue button you can scan a satellite for programs. Here you can choose between single satellite search and multi-satellite search.

Satellit: Select the desired satellite (eg Astra 19.2° East).

Only free: Choose whether only free to air or all encrypted channels are to be searched.

Program search: Choose between TV or radio programs

Network search: Select YES to look for transponders on satellites that are not contained in the transponder table. (The network search is only active when "Full Scan" is selected in the search mode.

Here are all marked satellites can be searched simultaneously. The search settings above can also be applied here.

Once you have made all the settings, use the arrow keys to switch to „Search“ and confirm with OK to start the search process.

To make various settings for your satellite system, select the desired satellite and then press the ▶ key to enter the right setting window.

LNB

Here you can set the LNB type according to your satellite system. The default setting (Universal 9750-10600) is applicable in most cases. If you select Unicable as the LNB type, please follow the steps below:

Unicable (EN 50494 and EN 50607):

Under the menu item LNB type you can make the settings for single cable systems (Unicable and Unicable 2). The receiver can be programmed for different Unicable systems. Depending on the system, up to 32 receivers can be connected.

Unicable A / B (EN 50494)

This setting is suitable for Unicable systems with up to 4 participants. Under IF channel you can select up to 4 different channels. Each IF channel is assigned a frequency. Select the desired IF channel (1-4). Then select the main frequency and confirm with OK. Now enter the frequency corresponding to your Unicable system. With the Unicable A/B option you can control up to 2 satellites.

SCD2 A / B (EN 50607)

This setting is suitable for Unicable 2 systems with up to 32 subscribers. Under IF channel you can select up to 32 channels, each IF channel is assigned a frequency. Select the desired IF channel (1-32). Then select the main frequency and confirm with OK. Now enter the frequency corresponding to your Unicable system. With the option SCD2 A/B you can control up to 2 satellites.

Note:

Basically, one uses the lowest frequency for the longest cable path to the set-top box. Note that each frequency may only be present once in your system. The frequencies depend on your single-cable system and can not be allocated as desired. IF program and IF frequency must compulsorily match your Unicable system.

DiSEqC 1.0 / DiSEqC 1.1

If the antenna is operated with a DiSEqC switch, here you can configure the DiSEqC input of the selected satellite.

22KHz

In case you are using two antennas connected to a 22KHz tone switch box. You can supply either 22KHz by setting "OFF" to select antenna.

LNB (Polarisation)

The polarization switches at Universal LNBs between the vertical and horizontal plane. The default setting (Auto) is correct in most cases.

Motor settings

If you operate your satellite dish with a motor, use the ◀▶ buttons to select between USALS, DiSEqC 1.2 or None. At the bottom of the screen other settings appear. Use the corresponding color buttons to get to the detailed engine settings.

USALS settings

Set limit (red button): Choose between „Limitation off“, „West border“ and „East border“.

Limitation: The mirror has no fixed limit to stop at a certain point.

West limit: Press the t u buttons to turn the mirror to the east or west. Press until the desired position of the western boundary is reached. Then save the settings.

East border: Press the t u buttons to turn the mirror to the east or west. Press until the desired position of the east border is reached. Then save the settings.

Go to reference: Press OK to get to the 0° starting point.

Set limit (green button): Enter the latitude and longitude of the respective satellite here.

DiSEqC 1.2 settings

Set limit (red button): see USALS settings

Delete all (green button): Deletes all satellite positions of the motor.

Operating mode

Select the tuner assignment here. If you only want to use one tuner, please set the operating mode to „Tuner 1“ or „Tuner 2“. Depending on which tuner input you have connected the coaxial cable to.

If you want to use the receiver as a twin tuner, set the operating mode to „Twin Tuner“. You can then record one channel (via tuner 1) while watching another (via tuner 2).

Signal

Check the signal strength and quality of Tuner 1 and/or Tuner 2.

3. Factory setting

With this function the receiver is set to the delivery state. First a password request is made to access the submenu. The default password is „0000“.

You will then be asked whether you really want to delete all settings. Confirm with YES or with NO to cancel the process.

Note:

All data you have set will be lost! This process cannot be undone!

4. USB-Update

Copy the appropriate firmware to a USB stick and plug it into the USB socket of the receiver. In the „Upgrade Mode“ you can choose whether to update ALL, only the program list or only the main code. Please select the new firmware under „Update file“. Press „Start“ to start the upgrade process. After the upgrade the receiver will restart if necessary.

You can use this function to save your data. Under the item „Backup mode“ you can choose whether ALL, only the program list or only the default setting should be saved. Start the backup process with „Start“. To restore data, follow step „4. USB update“.

Set the main language of the menu here. You can also set the language of the first and second audio channels as well as the subtitle language and Teletext. Use the ◀▶ buttons to select the language. Press EXIT to save and exit the submenu.

TV setting: Select your TV system (Auto, PAL or NTSC)

Video resolution: Select the resolution of the set-top box (576i to 1080p)

Format: Select the screen size (Auto, 4:3 LB, 4:3 PS, 16:9)

Video effect: Select the sharpness of the image (sharp, normal or soft)

Audio output: Choose between LPCM out (default), BS out and Convert.

GMT Usage: Select if you want to use the automatic GMT setting.

GMT Difference: Select the time zone you are in

Summer time: Select whether daylight saving time should be activated or deactivated.

Date: Set the current date here (only if GMT usage is disabled)

Time display: Set the current time here (only with deactivated GMT usage)

Here you can assign a password to various menu items or channels to prevent children from changing the settings or watching unwanted programmes.

The default password is „0000“ and can be changed here.

5. OSD settings

With the ◀▶ keys you can change according to each point on your needs. It can be set as follows:

Subtitle: On or Off

OSD time: Menu display time (3-10 sec.)

OSD transparency: Menu transparency

6. Sleep-Timer

Set here when the receiver should turn off automatically when no operation is performed on the unit or on the remote control. You can turn off the sleep timer or choose between 1-6 hours.

Here you will find a list of favorites that you can create in the channel list setting. The bookmark name can be changed arbitrarily. Access a list with the OK button and change the name using the color and number buttons on the remote control.

LAN

With a LAN cable plugged in and a connection to the Internet router, you can view the connection details here. Under „Mode“ you can select between „DHCP“ and „Static IP“. With „DHCP“, the receiver is automatically assigned an IP address in the network. With „Static IP“, you can assign an IP address yourself (this is only recommended for experienced users).

1. Music

On the left side of the screen you will see the contents of your USB storage device. Navigate with the ▲▼ buttons to select a folder in which you saved songs. Press the OK button to enter the folder.

Title playback:

Select a title with the ▲▼ buttons and start play-back by pressing OK. You can control the playback mode by pressing the „BLUE“ button on the remote control. Choose between the following playback modes:

You can sort all tracks in the playlist by pressing the „RED“ button. Select between „Name A-Z“, „Name Z-A“ or the original arrangement (default).

Select a track from the playback with ▲▼ buttons. Press the „FAV“ button on the remote control to highlight the title as favorite. If you have selected all the titles as a favorite, you can enter the playlist with the „YELLOW“ button. Title can be deleted from the playlist by pressing the „YELLOW“ button. Highlight the title you want to remove and leave the playlist with EXIT. Do you want to delete the entire playlist, press the „GREEN“ button to select all tracks. Then exit the playlist with EXIT.

2. Pictures

On the left side of the screen you will see the contents of your USB storage device. Navigate with the ▲▼ buttons to select a folder in which you saved images. Then press the OK button to access the folder.

Start slideshow:

Select an image with the ▲▼ buttons and start playback by pressing OK. You can

change the slideshow settings by pressing the

„BLUE“ button (Setup) on the remote control. Choose between the following options:

Note: If you set the slideshow time to OFF, only the selected image is displayed. You can now play all the images manually with ◀▶ buttons. With the ▲▼ buttons, the image can be rotated by 90°.

Sort pictures:

You can sort all pictures in the playlist by pressing the „RED“ button. Select between „Name A-Z“, „Name Z-A“ or the original arrangement (default).

Note:

A general control, such as start, stop, forward or rewind, is carried out via the upper keypad on the remote control.

4. Recording

On the left side of the screen you can see the contents of your recordings. Navigate with the ▲▼ buttons to select a recording. Select a recording with the ▲▼ buttons and start playback with OK. You can see the playback in advance in the small preview window. Press the OK button again to play the video in full screen mode.

In this menu you can activate or deactivate Timershift. If Timeshift is enabled (On), the USB media is permanently recorded in the background. This allows you to pause a running program and start it again at a later time. If several partitions have been created on the USB device, you can select the respective drive under „PVR Partition“.

7. Formatting data volume

Here you can see information about the total capacity, the used capacity and the still available capacity of the USB medium. If there are several partitions on the USB device, you can select them under „Partition“. To format a partition, select the „Format“ button and confirm with OK.

All files on the selected partition will be deleted irrevocably!

5. Recording options

There are several ways to start a record or program a recording.

5.1 Direct recording

Press the REC button on the remote control while the programme is running. A message that recording has started will then appear at the bottom of the screen. To stop recording, press the STOP button on the remote control. You will be asked if you really want to stop recording. Confirm with YES or NO to cancel.

5.2 Manual recording via the timer list

You can also program a recording manually with start and end times. To do this, switch to the following menu item:

Menu ▶ Programme list ▶ Timer list

Then follow the instructions as described on page 10 (Timer list).

5.3 Recording via the EPG

Press the EPG button on the remote control. Select the programme you want to record. Use the navigation keys ▲▼◀▶ to switch between the station, the day of the week and the time. Once you have selected a programme, press the GREEN button to add it to the timer list. Then follow the instructions as described on page 10 (Timer list).

6. Additional information

6.1 Troubleshooting

If you experience problems with the receiver, check the following situations to determine the source of the error.

Problem Possible causes What do you have to do?
The LED light does not light up.Power cord is not connected or not plugged in properly.Check that the power cord is properly connected.
No picture or sound The dish is not correctly aligned to the satellite and therefore receives a weak or no signal. The LNB or coaxial cable is defective. You are not on the correct TV channel. (AV or HDMI)Check the adjustment of the dish to get a better signal. Switch to the respective submenu to check the signal strength. Check the connection from the LNB to the receiver or replace the components if necessary.
Bad, jerky picture. The dish does not point exactly to the satellite, the signal is too strong, the mirror is too small or the noise figure of the LNB is too high.Adjust the dish correctly. If necessary, use a damping controller. Use a larger dish. Change the LNB.
No start screen when starting the receiver.The receiver is connected via HDMI, but the TV is not in the correct HDMI mode.Switch the TV to the correct HDMI mode (e.g. HDMI 1).
The remote control does not work.The batteries are empty or the remote control is not pointing exactly at the receiver.Replace the batteries. Make sure there is nothing between the receiver and the remote control. Obstacles can reduce reception.
Have you forgotten your password?The default password is 0000. If this does not work, it has probably been changed. Contact your dealer. We will help you here.
