Frequently Asked Questions - HD 935 Twin V2 MEGASAT

How do I set up the receiver for the first time?
Connect the coaxial cable to LNB input 1. Connect the HDMI cable to your TV. Turn on the TV and select the correct HDMI input. Turn on the receiver with the power switch. Select your language. The receiver is now ready. For twin mode, you need a second coaxial cable connected to LNB input 2. If using only one cable, change the antenna connection to 'Single (LNB1)' in the installation menu.
Can I record a program while watching another channel?
Yes, if you have two coaxial cables connected (twin mode). Go to Installation > Antenna connection and select Dual (Different). Then set the tuner mode to Tuner 1/2. If you have only one cable, you can only watch channels on the same transponder as the recording.
How do I use the timeshift function?
Press the PAUSE button on the remote to pause live TV. The program continues recording in the background. Press PLAY to resume from the paused point. Press STOP to exit timeshift. You can also enable auto timeshift in the USB menu under PVR settings.
How can I stream TV to my smartphone or tablet?
Install the G-MScreen app (free from AppStore or Google Play). Connect the receiver to your home network via LAN or optional Wi-Fi USB stick (art. no. 1200224). Ensure both devices are on the same network. Open the app, select your receiver from the STB list, and you can control and watch TV on your mobile device.
What should I do if I get no signal or poor picture?
Check that your satellite dish is correctly aligned. Use the signal strength indicator in the Antenna settings menu to adjust. Ensure the LNB and cables are not faulty. If signal is too strong, connect an attenuator. Replace the LNB if necessary. Also check that the correct satellite is selected.
How do I update the firmware?
Download the latest firmware from www.megasat.tv. Unzip the file and copy the *.bin file to a formatted USB stick. Insert the USB stick into the receiver, press the USB button on the remote, select the firmware file, and confirm update. After update, perform a factory reset (save your channel list first).
How do I add a hard disk drive (HDD) for recording?
Disconnect power. Remove the plastic holder from the HDD slot. Attach the holder to a 2.5" SATA HDD (max. 850 mA) using the screws. For thinner drives, use the adhesive pads. Slide the HDD into the slot until it clicks. Power on, then format the HDD via USB menu > Tools > Format (recommended FAT for up to 1TB).
How do I activate the front USB port?
Disconnect power and open the housing by loosening the three screws on the back. Inside, locate the two connector cables (front and rear USB). Release the clip on the connector and swap the cables so that the front USB cable is connected. Close the housing and screw it back. The front USB port is now active.
How do I program a timer recording?
Press MENU and go to Time settings > Event Timer. Press the RED button to add a timer.
