    • Children may only play with the product under adult supervision.
  • Warning. None of the packaging materials and attachments are part of the toy and must always be removed for safety reasons before the product is given to children to play with.

Assembly

  1. Insert each ring section (2) into a leg (3) (Fig. B).
  2. Repeat the process until all ring sections and legs are assembled.
  3. Pull the net (1) over the top of the relevant ring sections and hook the edge of the net on the net holders (2a) underneath (Fig. C).

Note: Make sure the net is taut enough. Pull the net over the frame and loop the edge of the net onto the net holders (2a) from underneath (Fig. C).

  1. Inflate the balls using a commercially available ball pump (not included).

Game

Game preparation

  1. Set up the net.
  2. Form two teams of two players each.

Objective of the game

Throw the ball on to the net so that the other team cannot receive the ball and return it. The objective of the game is to score the most points as a team.

Rules of the game

  1. At the beginning of the game, all players stand evenly spaced around the net. Players on the same team stand next to each other (Fig. D).

  2. As soon as the ball is in play, the players do not have to stay in a fixed position.

  3. The ball can be played 360 degrees around the net.

  4. The ball can be played with all body parts except for the feet.

- The ball must bounce up off the net after being struck and must then be hit by the opposing team.

• The ball may not be caught.

- The teams must not deliberately interfere with or block the other players.

- The first team to score 21 points wins the game.

Serve

  • The player who serves must stand approx. 1.80m from the edge of the net (service line).
  • They must keep at least one foot on the ground when serving.
  • The player opposite the server receives the ball.
  • When serving, the ball must be thrown up at least 5cm and then hit with a flat hand on to the net towards the opposing team.
  • If the opposing team receives the ball, they may touch it a maximum of three times before the ball has to be played back on to the net.
    • After a point has been scored, the next player on the same team serves.
  • If the serving team makes a mistake, the opposing team gets a point and then serves next.

Scoring

  • If the ball was not played on to the net after being touched three times at the most by your team, the opposing team gets a point.
  • If the ball hits the edge of the net, this is a fault both during the game and during the serve. The opposing team gets a point for this.
  • If the ball touches the net twice, this is a fault by the team playing the ball.
  • If the ball rolls on the net and doesn't bounce up, this is a fault. The opposing team gets a point for this.
  • If the ball touches the ground, the team that is currently taking their turn loses a point. The other team then serves next.

Foul

In pitch ball, a fouls is not always automatically a fault for which points are awarded. A foul during the serve is a move that makes it unnecessarily difficult for the opponent to receive the ball. This often doesn't happen intentionally.

Therefore, only the second foul is classed as a fault and only then is the opponent awarded a point.

The following actions are classed as a foul:

  • The ball is dropped when served or missed when hitting it.
  • The player crosses the service line (approx. 1.80m in front of the net) when making the serve.

• The ball is played with both hands.
- A defender plays the ball even though it is the attacking team's turn.
• After the ball bounces up off the net, a player hits himself or his teammate with the ball.
- A player touches the net and moves it or affects the trajectory of the ball.
- The serve should bounce off the net cleanly. If the ball makes an unforeseen change in direction ('pocket') and/or only touches the net and then hits the edge and falls down, the receiving team must say 'Foul' before they receive the ball or it touches the ground.
