Your ADE Mechanical Sliding Weight Baby Scale. The scale is used to determine the weight of infants. Make sure that the scale is placed on a safe and sufficiently large surface.

Make sure the baby is never left unattended.

Additional use of the scale for toddlers

The scale can also be used as a platform scale for toddlers. In this case do not use the baby tray. Remove it from the platform if already mounted and make sure the tray is stored safely.

Put the platform on an even floor ground (no carpets).

Do not use the scale as a personal scale for adults or toddlers over a weight of 20 kg (max. capacity: 20 kg!).

Safety

• Handle your scale with care - it is a precision instrument.
• Never leave the infant / child unattended. Adult supervision is required at all times.
• Use the scale on a firm and level surface. In any case, make sure that the scale is secured against accidental dropping.
• Do not let the infant / child jump around on the scale.

Assembling

• Unpack weighing platform and baby tray.
• Take out the two fixing screws by using a coin or a screw driver.
• Put the baby tray on the platform and fasten it with the two fixing screws. Make sure to pull the screws tight.

Weighing

The baby scale is equipped with a double reading dial. There are two weighing ranges on the dial one in blue one in red.

• From 0 – 10 kg with a graduation of 50 g, readability 25 g
• From 10 – 20 kg with a graduation of 100 g, readability 50 g

There are two indicators, one for each weighing range one in blue one in red colour.

Before using, adjust the needle (indicator) to the exact zero point by turning the adjusting wheel which is situated on the back side of the platform.

To get the most accurate weighing place the baby in the middle of the baby tray. Please make sure the baby does not too much move on the tray as this will influence the indicator and also the correctness of the result.

When using the scale as a toddler scale make sure the toddler is not moving as otherwise the result will be difficult to read correctly.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning

For cleaning just use a damp cloth or common disinfection fluids.

Do not use any aggressive cleaning fluids.

Storage and Transport

Keep all original parts and pieces for an eventual sending back of the scale in order to avoid any possible damage during transport which automatically leads to no warranty.

Warranty – Liability

ADE will repair or replace this product within a period of 1 year from date of delivery applying to defects occurred due to poor material or workmanship (presentation of invoice is necessary). All moveable parts – batteries, cables, mains units, rechargeable batteries etc. – are excluded. Warranty does not include natural wear, damages caused by incorrect or negligent handling, overuse or unsuitable or improper storage. The cost of transport will be borne by the customer should the equipment be located anywhere other than the customer's premises. In the event of transport damage, claims under warranty can be accepted subject to using the complete original packaging and the equipment secured the way it was packed and secured originally. All the packaging should therefore be retained.

Any warranty claim will be rejected if the equipment is opened by persons not authorized expressively by ADE to do so.
