How do I install the Sanus SA808 wall mount?

First, locate wall studs using a stud finder. Hold the wall plate against the wall at desired height and mark screw holes. Drill pilot holes into studs, then attach the wall plate using the provided lag bolts and washers. Attach the brackets to your TV using the appropriate screws and spacers, then hang the TV onto the wall plate and secure with locking mechanism.

What VESA patterns does the SA808 support?

The SA808 supports VESA patterns from 100x100mm up to 400x400mm. Most TVs within that range are compatible.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

The maximum weight capacity is 50 lbs (22.7 kg). Do not exceed this weight to avoid risk of injury or damage.

Can the SA808 be installed on drywall without studs?

No, the mount must be attached to wood or metal studs. Drywall anchors are not sufficient due to the weight of the TV. Use a stud finder to locate studs.

Is all necessary hardware included?

Yes, the mount comes with screws, spacers, washers, and wall anchors for various TV and wall types. However, you may need additional tools such as a drill and socket wrench.

How can I level the TV after installation?

The mount allows ±2° of tilt adjustment. To level, slightly loosen the locking screws, adjust the TV to level, then retighten. If more correction is needed, ensure the wall plate is installed level.

How far from the wall will the TV be?

The SA808 is a low-profile fixed mount, holding the TV approximately 1.5 inches (38 mm) from the wall, giving a sleek appearance.

Is the Sanus SA808 compatible with my TV?

Check the VESA pattern (bolt hole spacing) on the back of your TV. If it is between 100x100 and 400x400, and the TV weight is under 50 lbs, it should be compatible. Also ensure the TV screen size is between 26 and 55 inches.

How do I clean the wall mount?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they may damage the finish.

Before starting assembly, verify all parts are included and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not return the damaged item to your dealer; contact Customer Service. Never use damaged parts!

STEP 1 Cut Hole for Housing

CAUTION: Avoid potential personal injuries and property damage!

- Drywall covering the wall must not exceed 16 mm (5/8 in.).

- Box must be mounted between studs that are at least 406 mm (16 in.) apart. After installation there will not be enough space between the SA808 and the studs for electrical wires/cables, plumbing, ductwork, or insulation. Choose your SA808 location carefully.

1. Locate the studs using an edge-to-edge stud finder. Verify the edges of the studs using an awl or thin nail. Mark the inner edges of the studs with pencil.
2. The open area on the left of the template 01 should line up the the inner edge of the left stud. This will allow space for the placement of a power box on the right side of the housing 02. Level the template 01 and use a pencil to mark the open area of the template 01.

1. Use a drywall saw or similar tool to cut the drywall where marked. Remove cut section of drywall.

WARNING! ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD! CUTTING OR DRILLING INTO ELECTRICAL WIRES OR CABLES CAN CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY! Always make certain the area behind mounting surfaces is free of electrical wires and cables before cutting, drilling, or installing fasteners.
WARNING! EXPLOSION AND FIRE HAZARD! CUTTING OR DRILLING INTO GAS PLUMBING CAN CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY! Always make certain the area behind mounting surfaces is free of gas, water, waste, or any other plumbing before cutting, drilling, or installing fasteners.
4. Install wires and cables.

STEP 2 Install Housing

1. Break out the sections of the housing 02 that are required to install the power and cable outlets that are needed.
   NOTE: Knockouts are provided for ease of installation. Any unused knockouts that have been punched are to be closed up with a metal plug.
2. Thread the elastic-velcro strap into the housing 02.

STEP 2 Install Housing cont.

1. Optionally, install a UL Listed 120 VAC electrical outlet box (not included) capable of attaching to the SA808 housing 02 following the instructions included with the outlet box. Slide cables and additional wires through the hole in the bottom of the housing 02 and the rubber cable grommet 04. Fit the cable grommet 04 into the hole.
2. Using a screwdriver, turn the screws in the corners of the housing 02. These will raise the locking tabs in the rear of the housing 02 to secure it to the wall. Tighten only until secure. Do not over-tighten screws.

STEP 3 Install Components

ECO-Mini (purchased separately) with the SA808 - Optional

NOTE: Minimum spacings between the accessories and components and the housing for Information Technology Communication Equipment shall be maintained for safe operation of the equipment when installed in accordance with the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70-1999. Refer to communication equipment manufacturer's specifications for minimum spacings.

1. To use the ECO-Mini (purchased separately) in the SA808, first remove feet.
2. Fit the ECO-Mini into the ECO-Mini bracket 05 supplied with the SA808.

STEP 3 Install Components cont.

ECO-Mini (purchased separately) with the SA808 - Optional

1. Use two of the screws from the feet to secure the ECO-Mini in the bracket 05.
2. Slide the ECO-Mini and bracket 05 into the top of the housing 02. Lock the bracket 05 into the housing 02 by sliding it towards the corner until you feel it catch.

STEP 3 Install Components cont.

1. Use the elastic-velcro strap 03 to attach components to the housing 02.
2. Power the ECO-Mini with the power cord supplied with the ECO-Mini.

Positioning

The SA808 can be installed behind most large wall plates of wall mounts or underneath or above most small wall plates. To access the SA808 after installation, disconnect all cables and wires from the TV, then either slide or remove the arm or TV mount from the wall plate.

IMPORTANT: Check your TV owner's manual to see if there are any special requirements for mounting or removing your TV.
