Place the basket into the pan and push it down until it clicks into place. Slide the pan with the basket inside into the air fryer, making sure that it is inserted all the way. Never use the pan without the basket.
-
Switch the air fryer on and set the cooking time and temperature (refer to the Control panel-Settings section).
-
Small items of food might need to be shaken a little halfway through their cooking time. To do this, carefully extract the pan – the air fryer will switch off and the timer will pause – shake the pan carefully before sliding it back into the air fryer. Once the pan has been reinserted, the air fryer will automatically switch back on and the timer will resume its countdown.
① Handy tip: Setting the timer to half the cooking time will help you to remember to shake the pan. Once the pan has been shaken and returned to the air fryer, the remaining cooking time can be set.
- When the set cooking time has elapsed, the air fryer will emit an audible signal. Remove the pan and place it onto a heatproof surface.
Caution: The pan will be very hot. Make sure that the surface that you place the pan on is heatproof and that there is little probability of somebody coming into contact with the pan and burning themselves or knocking it over.
-
Check that the food has been cooked. If the food is not ready, slide the pan back into the air fryer and set the timer for a few more minutes.
-
If the food is properly cooked, lift the cover over the basket release catch, press the catch and carefully lift the basket out of the pan. The pan might contain oil or fat released from the food during cooking. Be careful, this oil or fat will be hot.
Caution: Never touch the pan straight after use. It can become very hot. Only ever lift the pan using the handle.

i Helpful tips
- Small sized items of food generally require a shorter cooking time than larger items.
- A larger amount of food will require only a slightly longer cooking time.
- A smaller amount of food will require only a slightly shorter cooking time.
- Small items of food should be shaken halfway through their cooking time to ensure that they are fried evenly.
- Brushing chips or french fries with a little oil will make them crispier. The potatoes should be cooked within minutes of having been coated with oil.
- Avoid cooking very fatty foods such as sausages.
This table shows examples of foodstuffs and cooking times. Bear in mind that weight, time and temperatures are approximate and can vary. Add another three minutes to the cooking time if the air fryer is cold when you start to use it.

Troubleshooting guide
| The air fryer won't switch on. | Is the mains lead undamaged and properly plugged into a wall socket? Is the wall socket energised? Is the timer set correctly? |
| The food is not cooked but the time has elapsed. | The temperature is too low.The cooking time is too short. The basket contains too much food. |
| The food is cooked unevenly. | Some items of food might need to be shaken a little halfway through their cooking time. |
| The food is not crisp after cooking. | Make sure to use the right type of food. Food for frying in oil is not suitable for an air fryer.Try coating the food with a little oil before cooking. |

| Raw chips cook unevenly. | Raw chips should be rinsed to remove starch before cooking.Have you used an unsuitable type of potato? |
| French fries not crispy after cooking. | Try coating them with a little oil before cooking.Cut them into thinner batons. |
