How do I use the Arzum AR3101 for the first time?

Before first use, fill the water heater with water up to the maximum level, boil it, and discard the water. Repeat 2-3 times. Then wash the teapot and filter with warm water.

What is the maximum water level for the kettle?

The water heater has a maximum capacity of 2 liters. Do not fill above the 'max' mark to avoid overflowing during boiling.

How do I brew tea with the AR3101?

Place the stainless steel tea filter in the teapot, add tea leaves, and replace the lid. Fill the water heater with water, switch the main switch to '1' and the boiling switch to '5'. Once water boils, it automatically switches to keep-warm mode. Pour the hot water into the teapot over the tea filter.

What does the red and green pilot light indicate?

The red pilot light indicates that the water is heating or boiling. The green (or blue, as per manual) pilot light indicates the appliance is in keep-warm mode after boiling.

Can I wash the kettle and base in the dishwasher?

No, never immerse the kettle or power base in water or wash them in a dishwasher. Only the teapot and tea filter can be hand washed.

How do I descale the Arzum AR3101?

For light scale, use a brush. For heavy scale, boil a mixture of water and commercial descaler or white vinegar (half liter) in the kettle, let it sit, then boil again and rinse thoroughly with clean water 2-3 times.

What happens if the kettle operates without water?

The appliance has a boil-dry protection: the thermostat will automatically switch off the device. Unplug it and let it cool completely before refilling and using again.

Is the Arzum AR3101 suitable for commercial use?

No, this appliance is designed for household use only. It is not suitable for professional or commercial purposes.

Can I use the kettle without the teapot placed on top?

The kettle should be used with the teapot placed on top when the boiling switch is on. Otherwise, it may not switch to keep-warm mode properly.

What should I do if the kettle does not turn on?

Check that the voltage matches your outlet, ensure the appliance is properly seated on the base, and that the on/off switch is in the '1' position. If it still doesn't work, contact an authorized Arzum service center.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the Arzum Tea Machine corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.

- This appliance is designed to use for home, stuff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, customer rooms in hotel, motel and the other accommodation places. The appliance is not suitable for professional use. Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.

- This appliance should be used by people who are informed, supervised and instructed to use this appliance in a safe manner and understood the risks. This product shouldn't be used by persons with

physical (visual, aural) or mental disabilities, children and persons with inadequate experience and knowledge without the supervision of someone responsible for their safety. Keep the children under supervision when the product is used and make sure that children doesn't play with the product.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

Attention: Keep children away from all packing materials, these materials have potential danger that can cause death as a result of choke.

- Do not place the Arzum Tea Machine over or near direct heat sources such as a stove, heating oven, etc.

- Ensure that the appliance is placed on a firm and flat surface. Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. The least blow or knock may overturn it. Do not forget that it may be full of hot water.

- Do not let cord hang over edge of table counter or touch any other appliances.

- Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your appliance. Do not carry your appliance by holding from the cord. To unplug the tea machine, hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.

- Never interfere with your appliance except for the purposes of cleaning and maintenance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Call immediately an Arzum Authorized Service.

· Always hold your appliance by its handle, since its outer surface may be hot.

- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before cleaning the appliance.

- Use your Arzum Tea Machine with its own power base unit only. Do not place it on those units belonging to any other appliance.

- Avoid contact with steam to be ejected from spout when the water is boiling, and do not let children to use the appliance.

- A teapot or lid MUST be placed on the kettle appliance, when the boiling switch of your Arzum Tea Machine is on. Otherwise, your appliance will be delayed to pass to the energy saving position, even when the water is boiling.

- NEVER immerse the kettle and power base unit in water or other liquids, nor wash in a dishwasher, nor use in bathroom or any other places with a high rate of moisture.

- When filling with water remove the appliance from its power base unit.

- NEVER put anything into the kettle other than water.

- Never leave the power base unit and electrical connection ends of your appliance in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and no not operate your appliance before having it dried completely.

Warning: Do not lift the body cover while water is boiling.

Warning: Position the pot handle away from the steam outlet.

Warning: Cut the power to the device before lifting it from its base.

Warning: Use the device only with the power base delivered with the device.

USING YOUR TEA MACHINE

• When you take the teapot to fill tea pull and take off its base from the settled surface. Thus, the drops that accumulate on the base will be poured in the water heater.
• Wash inside your Arzum Tea Machine by means of putting water in

it before the first use. Boil it for two or three times in the water heater and change the water every time. Ensure that the water is at the maximum level when you perform this process. Discharge the hot water before every boiling and wash inside your appliance with cold water.

- Fill in your water heater water always between the levels min (0.5 lt) or max (1.8 lt). If you attempt boiling the water under the minimum level, it will cause your appliance to be shut off earlier and if you attempt the water above the maximum level, it will cause water to overflow.

- Open the teapot lid and remove the tea filter and add sufficient amount of tea in the filter and add some cold water and then replace it on the teapot.

• Open by taking the main switch to (1) and the boiling switch to (5) position. The red pilot light will be on and the water will start heating.
• Depending on the amount of water added, the water will start boiling within 3-8 minutes and the boiling switch will pass automatically to the closed ( ) position and it will decrease the heating power to keep the water boiling at the minimum level and to provide the energy saving. Meanwhile, the red pilot light will go out and the green pilot light will be on.

- Steep the tea with the boiled water and replace the steel teapot. If necessary, add water to your water heater. If you add water, take the

boiling switch again to the open position.

SECURITY SYSTEM

• When water boils, the device will automatically switch to high-efficiency keep-warm mode.
• Operation Protection without water: If your appliance operates without water, thermostat activates and disconnects energy of your device and switches off your machine. In such a case, remove the appliance plug from the wall outlet and allow your appliance to cool completely.

CLEANING

• Shut down the main switch (O/I) of your appliance and take to the position, disconnect the plug from the outlet and wait for your appliance to cool down before cleaning.
• You can wash the steel teapot and filter of your Arzum Tea Machine in hand. NEVER wash the other parts by means of plunging them into

water or in the dishwasher.

• Discharge the water in your water heater and wipe its external surface with a dry or damp cloth.
• Do not clean any accessory of your appliance by means of using the hard and chemical cleaners (liquid bleach, hydrochloric acid etc).

CALCIFICATION REMOVAL

• The calcification within the water used in the course of time accumulates on the heater base and burns out and forms a brown layer and then reduces the output of your heater.
• The slight calcification can be cleaned easily with a brush. (Before doing this process, do not forget to disconnect the plug from the outlet first).
• You can clean the hard calcification with sediments by means of the calcification removers which are sold for the household appliances that can be purchased from the market or vinegar.
• To clean with the calcification remover;

after boiling some water in your appliance, mix the calcification remover with the boiled water. After waiting for a while, boil your heater 2-3 min. more and discharge its inside and wash with clean water for 2-3 times.

• To clean with white vinegar; fill half liter of white vinegar in your appliance and wait for 1 hour, and after that, empty the vinegar and wash your appliance with clean water for 2-3 times.
