How do I pair the speaker with my phone via Bluetooth?

Switch the speaker to Bluetooth mode (blue LED flashes). Enable Bluetooth on your phone, search for devices, and select "BP BT11ALU". If a password is required, enter "0000". The blue LED becomes steady when pairing is successful.

How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?

Playback time is approximately 5–7 hours. Charging time is about 4–5 hours using a 5V/1A USB charger. Connect the microUSB cable to the speaker and charger; the red LED turns off when fully charged.

Can I play music from a microSD card?

Yes. Copy MP3 files to a microSD card (max 32GB), insert it into the slot, and switch to microSD mode. The speaker will automatically read and play the music.

What should I do if there is no sound in Bluetooth mode?

Try turning off Bluetooth on your device and re-pairing. Ensure your device is within 10 meters of the speaker without obstacles. Also check that the speaker volume is turned up.

How do I improve FM radio reception?

Move the speaker near a window. Plug a 3.5mm audio cable into the AUX jack to act as an external antenna. Then re-scan for stations by pressing the play/pause button.

Can I use the speaker while it is charging?

Yes, the speaker can play music while charging. However, if you hear charging noise or abnormal function, disconnect the charger and reset the speaker by turning it off and on.

How do I clean the speaker?

Wipe the exterior with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use chemical solvents, as they may damage the finish.

What should I do if the speaker does not power on?

First, charge the speaker for at least a few hours. If it still does not turn on, contact service center ([e-mail]).

Is the speaker waterproof?

No. The manual states that the speaker should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and should not be placed in humid areas like bathrooms. It is not waterproof.

Can I use a different USB charger?

Yes, but it should output DC 5V with at least 1A current. Using a lower current may cause charging noise or malfunction. Always use a quality charger.

Battery charging

This unit has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before playing, please follow the steps below to charge it.

1. Using the supplied USB to microUSB charging cable, connect the speaker to your USB charger (USB adaptor or USB output port like on a PC, USB rating output: 5V/1A, or other USB charger with current equal to or above 1A). The microUSB connector should connect to the DC 5V power jack of the speaker, and the other terminal should connect to the USB charger. Then plug your USB charger into the household AC power.
2. The charging LED will light up in red during charging, and the red LED will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
3. The speaker will turn off automatically when the battery power is exhausted. Please arrange to recharge it for playing.
4. The output sound may be intermittent due to low power. This is not a malfunction. Please recharge it.

Important: We recommend connecting a USB charger with a rated output of DC 5V/1A, or equal to or above 1A output current USB power. The general USB output on a PC (personal computer) is 5V/1A (please reference your PC spec for checking). There may be some charging noise or abnormal function from the speaker if the charging current is too low. If this happens, please remove the charging power and let the speaker sit for a while; then the speaker will reset to normal function. Please note this is not a malfunction.

Notes:

Your battery lifetime will last longer if you follow the simple guidelines below for charging and storing.

a. For the first charge, charge it for at least 10 hours.

b. Recharge and store the unit within the temperature range of 5°C to 35°C (40°F to 95°F).

c. Do not charge for longer than 24 hours. Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery's life.

d. Battery life naturally shortens slowly over time.

e. Please turn off the speaker if it will not be used for a long time.

f. The speaker can play music while charging.

Due to prolonged charging and discharging, the unit's battery life will be affected and playback time will also be shortened. We cannot guarantee consistent playback throughout, and this is not covered under our warranty and service.

Y-shaped basement mounting: insert the included Y-shaped bracket into the back hole of the unit as shown below. Then the unit can stand up on a table.

Bluetooth operation

The speaker includes a Bluetooth function that allows you to wirelessly play audio from other Bluetooth devices such as smartphones. Please follow the steps below for operation.

1. Switch to Bluetooth mode, then the blue LED will flash, indicating that the speaker is ready to pair with other devices.
2. Enable the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device and search for available Bluetooth devices (please refer to your device's manual for operation).
3. Check the available Bluetooth devices on the menu list of your device and select "BP

BT11ALU" to start pairing. If a password is required during pairing, please enter "0000" (four zeros). The blue LED will become steady when pairing is successful.

1. Select and play the music on your Bluetooth device. Then the sound will be output from the speaker.
2. During Bluetooth playback, you can short press the play/pause button to play or pause the music; short press the volume +/- button to select the last or next track.

Phone call hands-free: when the cell phone is paired with the speaker and an incoming call arrives, a short press of the phone button answers the call. During the call, speak toward the microphone hole within 30 cm (suggested distance) for better conversation sound quality. A short press of the phone button again ends the call and resumes music playback.

Notes:

a. Due to different designs and brands, not all Bluetooth devices are guaranteed to pair successfully.

b. During hands-free phone calls, do not place your cell phone very close to the speaker to avoid interference that may affect conversation sound quality.

c. The best Bluetooth working distance is within 10 meters without any obstacles in between.

FM radio operation

Before listening to the radio, try to move the unit near a window, or plug in the audio cable as an external antenna (optional) to get better reception.

Station scanning: switch to FM radio mode, then short press the play/pause button to auto-scan and save available FM stations (supports up to 60 preset stations). Short press the volume +/- buttons to select the previous or next preset station; press and hold the volume +/- buttons to decrease or increase the volume.

TF/MicroSD card playback

Before starting playback, copy MP3 format music to a TF or MicroSD card (max supported 32GB), then insert the card into the slot on the rear panel of the unit. Power on and switch to MicroSD playback mode; the speaker will automatically read the card and output music after a few seconds.

In TF/MicroSD card playback mode, short press the volume +/- buttons to select the previous or next track; press and hold the volume +/- buttons to decrease or increase the volume. Short press the play/pause button to play or pause the music.

Notes:

a. TF/MicroSD card playback mode is only available when a card is successfully installed in the speaker.

b. The supported audio format in TF/MicroSD playback mode is MP3, but not all mentioned audio files are guaranteed to be supported.

c. Due to different designs and brands, not all TF/MicroSD cards are supported; the maximum supported storage is 32GB.

d. Please insert the TF or MicroSD card into the slot properly.

AUX IN/MP3 link mode

Using the supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio cable, connect the AUX IN jack of the unit to the line out or headphone jack on any other external audio player, such as an MP3 player. Power on and switch to AUX IN playback mode; select and play the music from your external audio player, and the sound will output from the speaker.

Notes:

a. In AUX IN mode, the main control is on your external audio player side. However, you can still increase or decrease the volume on the speaker side.

b. Please note that the AUX IN mode is only available when the audio cable is plugged in.

Trouble shooting

1. The unit cannot power on.

a. Please charge the unit and try again.

b. Please contact the service center in case of issue remains.

2. There is no or intermittent sound output in Bluetooth mode.

a. Please turn off the Bluetooth, and repair with the speaker.

b. Please put your Bluetooth device closer with the speaker.

3. No available FM station or background noise in FM.

a. Please plug on the 3.5mm stereo audio cable and re-scan the available FM station.

b. Please tune to another FM station for listening.

c. Please try to move the unit next to the window in order to get better reception.

4. The speaker cannot read out the music in TF or microSD card.

a. Please check if you insert the TF or microSD card into the slot properly.

b. Please check if the audio format is in MP3.
