Transport the appliance, if possible, only in vertical position. Otherwise, it is absolutely necessary to allow the appliance standing upright for a few hours before installation “Prior to first use”. Protect the appliance during transport against weather influences.

Conditions for the installation locations for the installation
- Good ventilation is required around the appliance, in order to dissipate the heat properly and to guarantee efficient cooling operation at low power consumption. Sufficient clearance is necessary.
- Gap to the back approx. 5 cm and to the side walls each approx. 10 cm;

Place the appliance so that the appliance door can open without being impeded.

Only install at a location with an ambient temperature suitable for the climate class of the appliance. For information on the climate class, please refer to chapter “Technical Data” or to the rating label located in the interior or on the rear side of the appliance.
- Place the appliance on a steady and safe surface. If the appliance is not horizontally leveled, adjust the feet accordingly.

near heaters, next to a stove, direct sunlight or any other heat sources;
- at locations with high humidity (e.g. outdoors, bathroom), as metal parts would be susceptible to corrosion under such circumstances;

- Do not expose the appliance any weather.

Before adjusting the height of the door, rotate the downward adjusting nut clockwise for 2 circles with a wrench, and loosen the downward adjusting nut.
Rotate the upward adjusting nut to adjust the height, and then tighten the downward adjusting nut counterclockwise again.
- When the door of refrigerator is low:
Open the door, use the accompanying wrench to cation rotate the upward adjusting nut counterclockwise, to move it upward until it is parallel and level.
- When the door of refrigerator is high:
Open the door, use the accompanying wrench to rotate the upward adjusting nut clockwise, to move it downward, until it is parallel and level.

After transport, the appliance should be left standing upright for about 24 hours before connecting to the power supply. Nonobservance could lead to malfunction of the cooling system and causes an appliance breakdown.
Clean the appliance interior including all accessory parts. Consider the instructions which we provide in the chapter "Cleaning and Maintenance".

2 Quick freeze
Upon activation of the quick freeze function the appliance is working at maximum power to speed up the freezing process. After about 24 hours the function switches off automatically. The indoor temperature adapts to the preset temperature. You can even stop manually the function previously.
3 Quick cooling
Upon activated of the quick cooling function the appliance is working at maximum power to speed up the cooling process. After 150 minutes the temperature will change to the preset temperature.

Starting the appliance

- Set the operating conditions. See also the following section "Settings".
Settings
Note that the temperature will change depending on the ambient temperature, frequency of door opening and the amount of food in the appliance.
During initial operation, adjust the lowest possible temperature level, or select the quick freeze and/or quick cooling function first, until the appliance has
reached the desired operating temperature. Afterwards it is recommended to turn the control back to a medium setting; correcting the temperature at a later point would then be easier.
Recommended temperature settings:
- Refrigerator: +4°C
- Freezer: -18°C

To guarantee that the temperature is low enough, you should pre-cool the appliance a few times before initial loading foods.

Always store food covered or packed in order to prevent drying-out and transfer of odor or taste onto other food items. You may pack the food with e.g.
• Polyethylene plastic bags or foil
- Special plastic covers with elastic strip
- Plastic bowl with lid
- Aluminum foil
Recommendations Recommendations
- Store fresh packed items on the glass shelves, fresh fruits and vegetables in the vegetable box.
- Place bottles in the door storage rack.
- By the air circulation different climate zones arises.
- The coldest zone is located at the rear and the lower fridge part. Recommended for the storage of foods such as fish, sausages and meat.
- The warmest zone is located at the door and the upper fridge part. Suitable for the storage of e.g. cheese and butter.
- Let warm food cool down first.
Freezerreezer
The 4-Star freezer allows you to store frozen food at a temperature of -18°C or colder for several months; to produce ice cubes and to freeze fresh food.

The two lower door trays (2-Star) are for short-term storage and ice-cream only.
FreezingFreezing
- 24 hours before freezing we recommend to set the temperature to the highest performance level and to keep this setting even after freezing for a few hours. The appliance is not compromised if the setting will not revert to a normal operating temperature after the freezing process, but for economic reasons you should possibly avoid it.
- Fresh food should be frozen as fast as possible to the core. Therefore during freezing operation, the temperature of fresh food should be lowered as fast as possible in order to keep formation of ice crystals as little as possible and not to damage the food structure.
- Frozen food should be kept in contact with the bottom of the compartment.
- Keep a space between the individual items, so that the cold air can circulate.
Storing frozen foodStoring frozen food
- Packed frozen merchandise should be stored in a 4-star-freezer compartment in accordance with the manufacturer's data. Make sure the food items do not defrost after purchase and to store them as fast as possible in the freezer.
- It is possible to store food for longer periods of time, up to three months. This period might vary,
so observe the storage information on the packaging of the merchandise.
General safety precautions General safety precautions
- Do not exceed the maximum freezing capacity. See data under "Technical Data" and on the rating label.
- Do not store bottles or cans. These can break when the contents freeze – or even explode, if they contain carbonated drinks.
- Once products have been defrosted halfway or completely, they should be consumed as soon as possible and should not be frozen again, except they have been processed to a ready meal.
- Do not open the door in case of power failure. If the failure does not take longer than 10 hours, then food will not be affected.
- Do not eat food that is still frozen. Do not eat ice cream directly from the freezer. The cold can cause injuries in the oral cavity.
- Touching metal parts inside the appliance can cause symptoms similar to burns if the skin is very sensitive.
- Never touch frozen food with moist or wet hands.

The maximum capacity of the water tank is 3 litres, do not exceed.
Leave the water in the container for at least 4 hours with the door closed so that it can become cool.
To fill the water tank with water there are 2 variants:
1) Open the small cover on the big cover of the water container and fill the water into the container through the opening
2) Remove the big cover of the water container and fill the tank directly.
Use the water dispenser Use the water dispenser When the water tank is empty, do not push the dispenser lever strongly as this can damage the mechanism.
Do not touch the dispenser lever without a cup underneath the dispenser.
- Before dispensing the water you have to ensure all parts are correctly fitted and that the door of the appliance is closed.
- Place an appropriately sized container or cup into the dispenser and push the dispenser lever.
- Once a sufficient amount of water has been dispensed remove the container or cup away from the dispenser lever.

water container and the dispenser using hot soapy water before you use the dispenser for the first time.
You have to remove the water container for cleaning. Hold both sides of the container tightly, then lift and remove it from the door at an angle of 45^ .
Remove the seal ring from the water tank by gently pulling it from the bottom of the water tank.

The dispenser can be cleaned by running it with hot soapy water instead of drinking water. You have to flush the dispenser afterwards using at least 6 big cups of clear water.
It is recommended to clean the dispenser, container, seal ring and water valve at least once per month in this way.
Re-installation:
Ensure that the nozzle of the water valve points downwards and that the groove on the body of the water valve is aligned with the groove on the opening of the dispenser moulding. Place the water valve in proper position by pushing it downwards at an angle of 45^ until it locks.
