Frequently Asked Questions - Nestor 15101 Elysee

How do I set the time on my Elysee Nestor 15101?
Pull the crown to position 2 and turn it to adjust the hour and minute hands. Ensure the time is set correctly for AM/PM.
How do I set the day and date?
Pull the crown to position 1. Turn clockwise to set the day, counterclockwise to set the date. Then pull to position 2 to adjust the time and ensure the day/date changes at midnight.
What is the water resistance of my watch?
Your Elysee Nestor 15101 is typically water resistant to 3 ATM, meaning it can withstand splashes, sweat, and rain. For exact rating, check the case back.
My watch has stopped. Is it broken?
If the watch hasn't been worn for a while, it may need winding. Turn the crown clockwise in position 0 about 20 times to start the movement. If it still doesn't run, contact service.
How do I wind my automatic watch?
With the crown in normal position (0), turn it clockwise about 20 times. This provides initial power; thereafter, wrist movement keeps it wound.
What should I avoid with my mechanical watch?
Avoid strong magnetic fields, shocks, extreme temperatures, and setting the date between 9pm and 3am. Also avoid contact with chemicals.
How long is the warranty?
Your Elysee watch comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. Keep your original receipt.
Where can I get my watch repaired?
Send your watch with the original receipt to Elysee Uhren GmbH, Heerdter Lohweg 212, 40549 Düsseldorf, Germany. Contact service@elysee-watches.com or +49 211 522894-12.
Is my watch suitable for swimming?
With 3 ATM water resistance, it is not suitable for swimming. For swimming, a rating of 10 ATM or higher is required. Check your case back for your watch's specific rating.
How do I know if my watch has a screw-down crown?
If your watch has a screw-down crown, it will need to be unscrewed (turned counterclockwise) before pulling. After setting, screw it back clockwise. This is common in higher water resistance models.

SET YOUR AUTOMATIC WATCH

To start the movement of your new ELYSEE for the first time, turn the crown clockwise in the normal position (0). Usually about 20 turns. The spring tension is now applied by the movement of the weight, the so-called “rotor”, on the bottom of the movement. If the watch has a display of the power reserve, the spring tension can be read on the dial.

Please note that for mechanical watches the date adjustment is between 9pm and 3am. Please do not adjust during this time, as otherwise the gear will be engaged and damage may occur.
Some ELYSEE watches have a screw-down crown. You must first loosen these to set the clock. To do this, simply turn the crown. After adjustment, screw the crown back into its normal position (0).

SETTING DAY / DATE / TIME

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1 and turn it to set the day of the week to the previous day. Turn the crown counter clockwise to set the date to the previous day, too.
  2. Pull the crown out to position 2. To ensure that the indication of the day and date will not change at noon, turn the hour and minute hand until the day and date switch to the current day and date at midnight.
  3. Now, by turning the crown, adjust the hour and minute hand to the current time and make sure that the current time is before or after noon.
  4. Push the crown back to its normal position (0).
