Frequently Asked Questions - 9060WH PKM

What is the minimum distance required between the hood and the hob?
The minimum distance depends on the hob type: for ceramic-glass rings/hotplates it's 65 cm, for gas cookers 75 cm, and for coal/oil/wood stoves 85 cm. Ignoring these distances can cause fire due to accumulated fat.
How do I install the range hood?
Installation requires at least two people. Mark and drill support holes (A/B) and anchor holes (C/D) according to the template. Insert dowels, hang the hood on screws, and secure with anchor screws. Then install the exhaust hose and chimney. Ensure the power is disconnected during installation.
Can I use the hood without venting outside?
Yes, you can operate in recirculation mode by installing carbon filters (CF 110). The exhaust hose is not required. The installation steps are similar to extraction mode.
How often should I clean or replace the filters?
Clean the aluminum grease filters once a month by hand or in a dishwasher at 30°C. Do not use aggressive or alkaline detergents. Replace carbon filters every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage.
How do I set the timer?
While the hood is operating, touch the TIMER sensor once. The display shows 05.00. Use the SPEED sensor to increase or LIGHT ON/OFF to decrease the working time (5-60 minutes). Touch TIMER again to confirm. The hood will turn off automatically after the set time.
Why is my hood not working?
Check if the plug is connected, the socket has power, and the fuse is on. Ensure the voltage matches 220-240V. If the light is on but motor doesn't work, the ventilation damper might be blocked or the motor defective. For other issues, consult the troubleshooting section in the manual.
How do I replace the carbon filter?
Unplug the hood and remove the grease filters. The carbon filters are located on both sides of the motor. Turn the old filter to the left to remove. Align the brackets with the motor's holding mechanism and turn to the right until it locks. Reinstall the grease filters.
What are the noise levels of this hood?
The noise level is 62 dB(A) at minimum speed and 69 dB(A) at maximum speed. Noise may increase if the exhaust duct is too small or obstructed.
Can I control the hood remotely?
No, this model has manual touch sensor controls on the hood itself. There is no remote control or smart connectivity.
How do I set the time of day on the LED display?
Touch the ON/OFF sensor once. Then touch and hold the TIMER sensor until the hour digits flash. Use SPEED to increase or LIGHT ON/OFF to decrease the hour. Hold TIMER again until minute digits flash, set them, then touch TIMER to confirm.

2.1 Important safety information

Required minimum distance hood to

Ceramic-glass rings/hotplates65 cm
Gas cooker75 cm
Coal / oil / stove wood firing85 cm

⚠ WARNING! If you ignore the required minimum distance, the accumulated fat in the filters can catch fire due to the heat emission of the hob. RISK OF FIRE!

  1. The minimum distances do not represent the required total height but a minimum value generated by adding the height of the hob (floor hob) and the required minimum distance of the hob to the extractor hood (hob extractor hood)

& (floor hob) + & (hob extractor hood) = & Minimum installation height

  1. Adapt the total installation height to the height of the user. Please note that the extraction capacity of the appliance can decrease if installed at a large distance to the hob.

⚠ WARNING! Never install the appliance below the required minimum distance.

⚠ WARNING! Any potential user has to be careful not to hit their head on the corners and edges of the appliance. RISK OF BRUISES! RISK OF INJURIES IN THE OCULAR AREA!

2.2 General information

  1. ⚠️ WARNING! Do not lead the exhaust air into a chimney which is used for extracting exhaust air of appliances operated by gas or other combustibles.
  2. For extracting the exhaust air always observe the current legal regulations.
  3. The diameter of the exhaust hose must meet the diameter of the connecting ring.

  4. If your appliance is equipped with a carbon filter, remove the carbon filter before you operate the appliance in the extraction mode. The carbon filter should be used in the recirculating mode only.

  5. The exhaust duct should be as short and straight as possible. The diameter of the exhaust hose should be at least 120/150 mm (look at chapter TECHNICAL DATA). Otherwise you have to expect increased noise and decreased performance of your appliance.

  6. The proper maximum bending angle outwards is 120^ .

  7. Use smooth tubes or flexible, non-inflammable exhaust hoses only.

  8. When the exhaust duct is connected horizontally, a minimum falling gradient of 1 cm/m or an inclination of 2^ is required. Otherwise condensate will get into the motor of the hood.

  9. When an exhaust duct is used, the ending of the exhaust hose must be adjusted into the direction of flow.

  10. If the exhaust duct passes through cool areas (e.g. an attic), a temperature gradient may occur in the different parts of the exhaust duct so condensate will be generated. Proper insulation of the corresponding parts of the exhaust duct will then be needed. Equip such an exhaust duct with a condensate trap if need be.

  11. Depending on the model the hood is equipped with one (top) or two (top, back) outlets.

  12. The idle outlet is covered by a plastic cap. You can remove this cap by turning it anticlockwise. Use the cap to cover the idle outlet.
