Frequently Asked Questions - HRS 8755 CI+ XORO

How do I set up the antenna for the first time?
Go to Installation > Antenna Settings. You can configure satellite list, antenna setup, and search for channels. If using a motorized dish, enable USALS and enter your longitude and latitude.
How can I record a TV program?
Connect a USB storage device. Press the Record button (●) on the remote to start recording the current channel. You can also set timers via Timer Setting in the menu. Recording requires a formatted USB drive with sufficient space.
What is Timeshift and how do I use it?
Timeshift lets you pause live TV and resume later. Enable it via Menu > REC Setting > PVR Setting > Timeshift = ON. During a broadcast, press the Pause (||) button to pause, then Play (▶) to continue.
How do I watch Pay-TV channels with a CI+ module?
Insert the CI+ module with a valid subscription card into the slot on the rear panel. The receiver will automatically detect it and display 'Matching with CI+ receiver in progress'. Wait a few minutes until it shows 'Your Module is operational'. Then you can access the encrypted channels.
Why is there no picture on my TV?
Check that the receiver is powered on (standby light off). Ensure the HDMI or SCART cable is firmly connected to both the receiver and TV. Confirm the TV is set to the correct input source. Also, run a channel scan to ensure channels are stored.
How do I update the firmware?
Download the latest firmware from the official website (www.xoro.de/downloads) and save it to a USB stick. Insert the USB into the receiver, go to Tools > USB Upgrade & Save, and select the update file. Do not turn off the receiver during the process.
Can I use a USB hub for more connections?
The USB ports are powered with 500mA each. It is not recommended to use a USB hub as it may exceed the power limit and cause instability. Use the ports directly for storage devices.
How do I reset the receiver to factory settings?
Go to Tools > Factory Setting and confirm. This will erase all channel lists and custom settings. The receiver will restart and you will need to perform a new channel scan.
The remote control does not work. What should I do?
First, point the remote directly at the receiver's front panel. Check if the batteries are inserted correctly (polarity) and replace them if weak. Remove any obstacles. If still not working, restart the receiver and try again.
How many channels can I record simultaneously?
You can record up to two channels at the same time, but only one HD+ channel is allowed. Both recordings must be on the same transponder or use different USB devices? The manual states you can record two from different TP but only watch one from the same TP. For best performance, use a single USB device.
