Frequently Asked Questions - 7060 GEMINI

How do I install the Gemini 7060 alarm system?
Detailed instructions are in the user manual. Generally, you connect the control unit to the vehicle's battery and wires, mount the siren, and install the shock sensor. It is recommended to have a professional install to ensure security.
What do I do if the remote stops working?
First, check the remote battery and replace if necessary. If still not working, try re-syncing the remote by following the manual. If the issue persists, there may be a receiver fault or interference.
How can I change the battery in the remote?
Open the remote casing using a small screwdriver. Remove the old CR2032 battery and insert a new one positive side up. Close the casing and test the remote.
The alarm goes off randomly, what are possible causes?
Common causes include a low vehicle battery, faulty door trigger, sensitive shock sensor, or electrical interference. Adjust the sensor sensitivity or check the wiring.
How do I enter valet mode?
Turn the ignition on and off, then press the valet switch (usually hidden). Or use a specific sequence on the remote as described in the manual. The LED will indicate valet mode.
What is the range of the remote?
The typical range is up to 100 meters in open space. Obstructions like buildings can reduce range. Ensure the remote battery is fresh.
How do I reset the alarm to factory settings?
Locate the reset button on the control unit and press it for 5 seconds. Alternatively, disconnect the backup battery and main power for 10 minutes. Refer to the manual for exact steps.
Can I add additional sensors?
Yes, the Gemini 7060 supports expansion modules such as glass break sensors and motion sensors. They can be connected to the auxiliary input.
Is the alarm system compatible with my vehicle?
It is compatible with most 12V vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs). Professional installation is recommended to ensure compatibility with your vehicle's wiring and immobilizer system.
How do I troubleshoot a non-responsive remote?
Ensure the vehicle battery is charged and the alarm system has power. Check the remote battery and try re-syncing. If still not working, the remote may need replacement or the receiver module may be faulty.

  • EXCLUSION OF THE VOLUMETRIC SENSOR, EXTERNAL SENSORS AND COMFORT CONTROL AFTER THE ALARM ARMING: while alarm armed (even if the boot opening function with alarm armed is activated), during the inhibit time (Led lightning fix) press on the transmitter 2 button. The exclusion is signalled by one pulse of the direction Indicator lights, the comfort function and the sensors are excluded. This function de-activates at the first arming of the alarm.
  • ALARM DISARMING: press on the transmitter's button N. 1. The disarming is signalled through 3 pulses of the direction indicator lights or 5 pulses if an alarm condition has occurred.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

SELF-LEARNING OF THE CODE OF A NEW TRANSMITTER.

The self-learning of a new transmitter can be obtained with two different ways:

  1. While alarm disarmed set the dip switch N.3 to ON and turn the ignition key to ON. The Led and the direction indicator lights activate. Turning the ignition key to OFF the Led and the direction indicator lights switch off. Press on the new transmitter button N. 1 within 8 seconds.
For each new code it is necessary to turn the ignition key to ON for one second and then to OFF. At the end of the self-learning operation set the clp switch N.3 to OFF.
  2. While alarm disarmed, open the driver's door, turn the ignition key to ON and pross on the coded transmitter button N. 2. The Led and the direction indicator lights activate. Turning the ignition key to OFF the Led and the direction indicator lights switch off. Press on the new transmitter's button N. 2 within 10 seconds. For each new code it is necessary to turn the ignition key to ON for one second and then to OFF.
At the end of the self-learning operation, after 10 seconds the system works normally. NOTE: the system is supplied with a maximum number of 3 transmitters.

AUTOMATIC ARMING

To obtain this function set the dip switch N. 2 to ON. 60 seconds after the disarming of the alarm, if the doors and the boot are not opened and the ignition key is not turned to ON, the system will arm with or without closing the vehicles doors (according to setting of the set-up 7 function).

REMOTE CONTROLLED BOOT OPENING.

The alarm unit 7060 allows opening the vehicle boot if the control is electric to negative. To obtain this function select the set-up 3 function and press on the transmitter button N. 2 with the alarm disarmed. If the boot opening is carried out pressing on the transmitter 2 button with the alarm armed (after selecting the set-up 4 function), the panic function will de-activate and all the inlets inhibit for 60 seconds. If the boot is not closed within this delay time the alarm will trigger. The opening of the boot through the transmitter is signalled by one pulse of the direction indicator lights.

PANIC FUNCTION

To obtain this function with the alarm armed after the neutral time, press on the transmitter button N. 2 (if the 4 function- boot opening with alarm armed is de-activated). The siren, the klaxon and the direction indicator lights activate. To de-activate this function within the 10 seconds of the alarm cycle, press on the transmitter button N. 2.

LEDS MEMORY.

While disarming the alarm, turn the ignition key to ON to check if an attempted break-in has occurred. Following the Led flashing it is possible to know the alarm triggering's cause. The signalisation is repeated for 5 times.
