How do I install the TEW-811DRU router?

Follow the Quick Installation Guide: power down your modem, connect the modem to the router's Internet port (yellow), connect a computer to a LAN port, power on the modem and router, then open a web browser and go to http://tew-811dru. Run the Internet Connection Setup Wizard and select DHCP Connection (typical).

What is the default username and password?

The default username is admin. The password is unique to each router and is printed on a sticker on the front and bottom of the device. It is case-sensitive.

How do I find the wireless network name (SSID) and password?

The pre-assigned SSID and Wi-Fi Key are printed on a sticker on the front and bottom of the router. The wireless network is pre-encrypted with this unique key.

What do the LED indicators mean?

The front panel LEDs include: Power (steady when on), Internet (blinking when active), LAN Ports (1-4, lit when connected), and Wireless Bands (2.4G and 5G, lit when active).

What is included in the package?

Installation Requirements

• A computer with a wired or wireless network adapter and Web browser

2. Installation

1. Verify that you have an Internet connection.
2. Power down your modem.
3. Disconnect the network cable from your modem and your computer.
4. Connect your modem to the TEW-811DRU's Internet port (yellow).
5. Connect your computer to one of the TEW-811DRU's LAN ports.

1. Connect the power adapter to the TEW-811DRU and then to a power outlet.

2. Power on your modem. Wait until the LEDs indicate that modem is fully booted up. For more information on your modem's LEDs, please consult with your modem's user's guide.

3. Verify that the status LED indicators on the front of the router are illuminated: Power, Internet (Blinking), LAN Ports (1, 2, 3, 4), and Wireless Bands (5G, 2.4G).

Note: It is recommended that you configure the Wireless Router from a wired computer.

1. Open your web browser, type http://tew-811dru in the Address bar, and then press Enter.

1. Open up your browser and enter in a website (e.g. www.trendnet.com) to verify that you have an Internet connection.

2. For added security the TEW-811DRU's wireless network is pre-encrypted with its own unique network security key. You can find the unique security key and the pre-assigned network name (SSID) on a sticker on the front of the router and on the label on the bottom of the router. You will need this information to connect to the router.
