Frequently Asked Questions - SST 13D SENCOR

How do I descale my Sencor SST 13D steam iron?
To descale, fill the water tank with a mixture of half white vinegar and half water. Set the iron to the highest temperature and let it steam for a few minutes. Allow it to cool, then empty and rinse with clean water.
What should I do if the iron is not producing steam?
Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature is set at or above the steam setting. Check if the anti-drip system is activated. If still no steam, try cleaning the soleplate and steam vents with a damp cloth.
Can I use tap water in the iron?
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup. Tap water can be used but may cause scaling over time.
How do I clean the soleplate?
Unplug the iron and let it cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a non-abrasive cleaner or a mixture of baking soda and water.
What does the anti-drip system do?
The anti-drip system prevents water from leaking out of the soleplate when the iron is not hot enough to produce steam. It activates automatically.
How does the auto shut-off work?
The iron automatically shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity when upright, or after 8 minutes when on its soleplate or side. This is a safety feature to prevent accidents.
Can I use the iron vertically for hanging clothes?
Yes, the SST 13D supports vertical steaming. Hold the iron upright and press the steam boost button to steam hanging garments.
What is the maximum steam output?
The continuous steam output is about 30 g/min, and the steam boost can reach up to 120 g/min for tackling tough wrinkles.
How long does the iron take to heat up?
The iron typically heats up within 30-45 seconds, depending on the selected temperature setting.
What should I do if the iron leaves marks on clothes?
Marks may be due to residue on the soleplate or using too high a temperature. Clean the soleplate as instructed and select the appropriate temperature for the fabric.

The Ground Truth image displays a single, solid horizontal line. According to Rule 2 (UNDERSCORE & LINE RULES), this is a stylistic or background line, not a placeholder underscore. Therefore, the OCR result must ignore it and output nothing or only meaningful text. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of four underscores. This is an incorrect interpretation of the line as a placeholder, violating the rule that stylistic lines must be ignored. The OCR has hallucinated underscores where none should exist based on the GT's visual context. Hence, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.
