How do I clean the soleplate of my Sencor SST 10MD iron?

Allow the iron to cool completely. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Use the self-cleaning function regularly to remove mineral deposits.

What type of water should I use in the iron?

For optimal performance and longevity, use distilled or demineralized water. Tap water can cause scale buildup which may affect steam output and damage the iron.

The iron is not producing steam. What should I do?

Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature dial is set to a steam setting. Press the steam boost button to clear any blockages. If the problem persists, use the self-cleaning function or descale the iron.

Can I use the iron for vertical steaming?

Yes, the Sencor SST 10MD supports vertical steaming. Hang the garment and hold the iron vertically, then press the steam boost button to remove wrinkles without a board.

How does the auto shut-off feature work?

The iron will automatically turn off after 8 minutes of inactivity when left upright, or after 30 seconds if left on its side or tipped over. To restart, simply move the iron.

What is the anti-drip system?

The anti-drip system prevents water from leaking out of the soleplate when the iron is not hot enough to produce steam. This keeps your clothes dry and stain-free.

How often should I descale the iron?

Descaling frequency depends on water hardness. As a general rule, perform the self-cleaning function every month if using tap water. If you use distilled water, descaling every 3-6 months is sufficient.

The iron is leaking water. What could be wrong?

Leaking can occur if the temperature is too low for steam production. Ensure the thermostat is set to a high enough temperature (e.g., cotton/linen). Also, check that the anti-drip system is functioning. Avoid overfilling the tank.

Can I leave water in the tank after use?

It is recommended to empty the water tank after each use to prevent mineral buildup and prolong the life of the iron. If the iron will not be used for a long time, empty and store dry.

What fabrics can I iron with the Sencor SST 10MD?

This iron is suitable for all ironable fabrics, including cotton, linen, silk, wool, and synthetics. Always check the garment's care label and adjust the temperature dial accordingly (low for synthetics, high for linen).

USER MANUAL SST 10MD SENCOR

The mechanical daily timer is intended for switching appliances powered by AC 230 V on and off at specified time intervals. The timer can be switched on and off up to 48 times a day.

Setting the current time

To set the current time, turn the dial clockwise until current hour and minute are in the top right corner (by the arrow). Minutes can only be set in 15 minute increments (one segment is 15min , 2 segments 30min and three are 45 minutes)

Setting a specific switch programme

1. To set the desired activation time, press the respective segments distributed along the perimeter of the dial via a pointy tool (pencil, screwdriver, etc.). One pressed segment represents the power will be activated for a duration of 15 minutes (4 segments = 1 hour).
2. If the side switch is in the down position ⏻, the timer operates according to the configured programmes.
3. Plug the timer into a 230 V \~ / 50 Hz socket.
4. Next, connect the power cord of the appliance. An activated timer is indicated by a red LED lamp.

Switch function on the side of the device:

If the switch is in the up position I, the plug remains active regardless of the settings. In the down position ⊕ the switch operates according to the programme settings.
