Frequently Asked Questions - AMMF20M1W AMICA

Can I use metal cookware in this microwave?
No, metal cookware or containers with metal trim should not be used in microwave mode as they can cause arcing and damage. However, the grill function allows use of metal racks provided.
How do I set the cooking time?
Turn the timer knob to the desired time (maximum 35 minutes). If setting less than 2 minutes, first turn past 2 minutes and then back to the desired time. The oven starts immediately.
Why does my turntable make noise during operation?
Noise may be caused by dirt on the rotating ring or oven floor. Clean these parts with a damp cloth. If noise persists, check that the turntable is properly seated.
Can I heat baby food or milk in the microwave?
No, it is not recommended to heat baby bottles or baby food because uneven heating may cause burns. Stir liquids well after heating to avoid scalding.
What power level should I use for defrosting?
Use the Defrost setting (33% power) for defrosting frozen foods. This gentle power helps thaw evenly without cooking the edges.
How do I clean the inside of the microwave?
After use, wipe the interior with a damp cloth. For stubborn odors, place half a lemon in 300 ml of water and microwave at 100% power for 10 minutes, then wipe dry.
Can I use plastic containers?
Yes, but only plastics labeled 'microwave-safe'. Avoid containers that are not heat-resistant. Always pierce sealed bags or covers to release steam.
What is the maximum size of cookware I can use?
The turntable has a diameter of 255 mm (about 10 inches). Cookware should fit safely on the turntable without touching oven walls or causing imbalance.
Does the microwave interfere with TV or radio?
Yes, it may cause interference. This is normal and not a fault. Place the microwave away from receivers to minimize disruption.
What should I do if the oven does not start?
