Safety instructions

To ensure safe operation of the product, follow the safety guidelines set out below:

■ Before use, check the headphones for visible external damage. Do not operate headphones that are damaged or have been dropped.

■ Protect the cable against damage, for example caused by sharp edges, hot areas, clamping or crushing.

If the cables or connections are damaged, have them replaced by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service department.

Children and persons incapable of operating the headphones safely due to their physical, intellectual or motor abilities must only use them under the supervision or direction of a responsible adult. Permit children to use the headphones only under supervision.

DANGER! Do not allow children to play with the packaging material! Keep all packaging materials away from children. Risk of suffocation!

■ Repairs to the headphones may only be carried out by authorised specialist personnel or by the Customer Service department. Improper repairs may put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any warranty claims.

■ Repairs to the headphones during the warranty period may only be carried out by a Customer Service department authorised by the manufacturer, otherwise no additional warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damages.

■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts. Compliance with the safety requirements can only be guaranteed by using these replacement parts.

- Do not carry out any unauthorised reconstruction or customisation to the headphones.

■ Protect the headphones from moisture and penetration by liquids.

Operation

Connecting headphones

The headphones ① are equipped with a 3.5 mm jack. Many electronic entertainment devices have a corresponding headphone socket. If your audio device has been equipped with a different headphone connector, you may need to use a suitable adapter (not supplied). To connect the headphones to an airplane entertainment system use the supplied airplane adapter ②.

Put on the headphones

When putting on the headphones ①, pay attention to the side indicators „R“ (right) and „L“ (left) on the earpieces.

■ Position the neck band of the headphones so that the band runs around the back of your head (see fig. 1).

Storing the headphones

You headphones are supplied with a folding neck band to allow for space-saving storage.

■ First fold the earpieces backwards and then fold the neck band together (see figs. 2 + 3).

Cleaning

CAUTION

Do not allow any liquids to get into the headphones ①. This could cause irreparable damage to them.

■ Clean the headphones ① with a slightly damp cloth.

Storage when not in use

■ Store the headphones ① in a dry and dust-free location.

Troubleshooting

Fault causes and rectification

The following table will help you to identify and rectify minor malfunctions:

Faults Cause/remedy
No sound is coming from the headphones 1.The playback device is not switched on or play-back has not started. Switch on the connected playback appliance and/or start playback.
The volume control of the playback device is set to the minimum volume. Increase the playback volume.
The 3.5 mm jack is not fully inserted into the play-back device's headphone socket. Push the 3.5 mm jack all the way into the socket.
Sound is coming only from one side of the headphones 1.The 3.5 mm jack is not fully inserted into the play-back device's headphone socket. Push the 3.5 mm jack all the way into the socket.
The stereo balance control on the playback device is incorrectly adjusted. Adjust it to the setting you desire.

NOTE

The warranty only covers claims for material and manufacturing defects, not for damage sustained during carriage, components subject to wear and tear or damage to fragile components such as switches and batteries.
