PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
| PROBLEMS SOLUTIONS | |
| The appliance does not heat up. • Check that the red indicator light is on and that the appliance is connected to a working power socket. | |
| The appliance emits a burnt smell. • When using the appliance for the first time, the baking trays may emit a little smoke and odour. This is normal. If there is a burnt smell after some use, clean the baking trays as described in the 'Cleaning and maintenance' section. | |
| Food does not bake properly. • The selected temperature is not high enough for the food. Adjust the thermostat. | |
| The food sticks and burns immediately. | • The selected temperature is too high for the food. Adjust the thermostat. |
| The waffles stick to the baking trays. | • There is not enough fat in the batter. Add some oil or melted butter to the batter or grease the baking trays.• There is too much sugar in the batter. Reduce the amount of sugar in your batter. Sugar can caramelise during baking, which causes your waffles to stick to the waffle iron.• The waffle is not yet cooked all the way through. Let the waffle cook a little longer, which reduces the chance it will stick. The waffle is fully cooked when moisture is no longer emitted from the appliance. |
