4. Commissioning

Remove the product from the packaging and remove all packaging material. Open the battery compartment on the top of the product and insert 2x 1.5V AA batteries. Ensure that the polarity of the contacts is correct.

5. Operation

Caution! Never place your fingers or other body parts or hair near the clamping jaws during use!

  1. Place the desired jar on a flat and non-slip surface.
  2. Place the jar opener on the lid.
  3. Adjust the ends of the outer clamping jaws to the angle of the jar to be opened.
  4. Press the switch-on button. The inner arms enclose the lid and the outer arms enclose the jar.
  5. The appliance opens the jar and the arms automatically move back to their maximum position after the jar has been opened.
  6. Pressing the button again during the process cancels the process and resets the appliance to its original state.

Note:

  • The appliance may start automatically if the arms are moved manually. This is normal.
  • The rubber grips on the outer arms are adjustable to fit the glass.
