Press briefly and lightly on the middle of the upper part of the door.

"This is a first time setup." is shown on the display the first time the dishwasher is switched on. It is important that you choose her right setting to ensure good dishwashing results. Seepage7.

You can remote control this dishwasher with your smartphone/tablet. Connect the dishwasherto your wireless network and pair with your smartphone/tablett be able to remote control and start the dishwasher using the Connect Life app. The app can be used to find information, change settings and monitored dishwasher. (Thedish washer can always be used without the app.)

Childlock

You can activate the Automaticchildlocksetting to prevent children from starting the dishwasher. See the chapter Settings. You can also temporarily activate and deactivate the Child lock function. Press and hold and forth three seconds.

Installation

Overflowguard

Theoverflowguardstartspumpingoutthewaterandturnsoffthewatersupplyifthewaterlevelin thedishwasherexceedsthenormallevel.Iftheoverflowguardistriggered,F54(Overfillingwater) appearsonthedisplay.Turnoffthewatertapandcontactyournearestservicecentre.(Toavoid waterleakageoutsidethedishwasher,donotremovetheplugfromthewallsocketuntilthewater taponthesupplylinehasbeenturnedoff!)

Packaging

Theouterpackagingprotectstheproductduringtransport. Thepackagingmaterialisrecyclable. Separatethedifferentpackagingmaterialstohelpreducerawmaterialuseandwaste. Yourdealer cantakethepackagingforrecyclingordirectyoutothenearestrecyclingcentre. Thepackaging iscomprisedof:

• Corrugatedcardboardmadefromupto 100% recycledmaterial.
• Expandedpolystyrene(EPS)withnoaddedchlorineorfluorine.
  •Supportsmadefromuntreatedwood.
• Protectiveplasticmadefrompolyethylene(PE).

Disposal

Thedishwashermanufacturedandlabelledforrecycling.Whenthedishwasherhasreachedthe endofitsservicelifeandistobedisposedof,itshouldimmediatelybemadeunusable.Pulloutthe powercableandcutitasshortaspossible.Removethelightsource/lightsources.

Contact your local authority for information about where and how your dish washers should be correctly recycled.

Waterhardness

Inordertoachievegooddishwashingresults,thedishwasherneedssoftwater(waterwithlowmineral content).Hardwaterleavesawhitecoatingondishesandthedishwasher.

Checkingwaterhardness

WaterhardnessisspecifiedusingGermandegreesofwaterhardness(°dH),Frenchdegreesofwaterhardness(°fH),Englishdegreesofwaterhardness(°eH)ormillimolesperlitre(mmol/l).

Awatersupplywithawaterhardnessinexcessof5°dH(9°fH/6°eH/0.9mmol/l)mustbesoftened. Thisisdoneautomaticallywiththeaidofthebuilt-inwatersoftener.Inorderforthewatersoftener tofunctionproperly,itssettingsmustbeadjustedtothehardnessofthewatersupply.Onceyou haveadjustedthewatersoftenersettings,adddetergentandrinseaidindosessuitableforsoft water.

If the water hardness exceeds 50^ dH ( 89^ fH/62°eH/8.9 mmol/l), were recommend connecting an external watersoftener.

Increasedconsumptionduringregeneration

Thedishwasher's built-in watersofteneris regularly regenerated to maintain its function. Regeneration extend the dish washing program and increases energy and water consumption. Just how often the dish washer's watersofteneris regenerated depends on these selected settings.

Example: If the Ecoprogram is run with a water hardness of 14^ dH ( 25^ fH/ 18^ eH/2.5mmol/l), the watersofteneris regenerated at regular intervals (after 6 dish washing cycles), energy consumption increases by 0.015 kWh, and water consumption increases by 2.3 litres, while the program time is extended by 3 minutes. Regeneration takes placed during the program's mainwash.

WARNING!

Hardwaterleavesawhitecoatingondishesandinsidethedishwasher.Itisthereforeimportant thatyouselecttherightsettingforthewatersoftener!SeeWaterhardness.

Neverrunthedishwasherwithanemptysaltcompartmentifthewatersupplyhasawaterhardness inexcessof5°dH(9°fH/6°eH/0.9mmol/l).

   3.Addenoughsalttofillthesaltcompartment(max.750gram).Usespecialdishwashersalt.

1. Opentheliodoftheautomaticdosingcompartmentfordishwasherdetergentgel.
2. CarefullyaddishwasherdetergentgeltothelevelmarkedMAX.
3. Cleanup any excess dish washer detergent gel outside the compartment.
4. Closethelidfirmly.

NOTE!

Useonlydishwasherdetergentgelintheautomaticdosingcompartment!Donotusedishwasher detergentpowder.Washingupliquidmustnotbeusedasthefoamthatformspreventsthe dishwasherfromoperatingeffectively.

Somethickdishwasherdetergentgelsarenotsuitablefortheautomaticdosingcompartment. Addverythickdishwasherdetergentgelintothemanualdetergentcompartment.Seethedetergent manufacturer'srecommendations.

Dishwasherdetergentgelhasamilderformulathandishwasherdetergentpowderorall-in-one detergentwithbleachingagent. Thismeansthatdishwasherdetergentgelmayprovelesseffective atremovingstainscausedby,forexample,lipstickandtea/coffee.Ifnecessary,onsuchoccasions dishwasherdetergentpowderorall-in-onedetergentwithbleachingagentcanbeaddedtothe manualdetergentcompartment(whenAutodoseisactivated).SeeAdddetergent.

Dosingofdishwasherdetergentgel

DishwasherdetergentgelisdispensedduringthemainwashforallprogramsexceptSelf-cleaning. Alittleextradishwasherdetergentgelisalsodispensedduringtheprewashinthefollowingprograms:

Auto, Universal, Intensive, Timeprogram(2:00, 2:30)

Saveenergyandwater

When using a dish washer in a residential setting, less energy and water are generally used compared to washing the dishes by hand.

Donotrinseunderrunningwater

Donotrinsethedishesunderrunningwaterasthiswillleadtoincreasedenergyandwater consumption.Simplyscrapeofflargefoodparticlesbeforeloadingthedishwasher.

Chooseagreendetergent

Readtheenvironmentaldeclarationonthepackaging!

Toomuchdetergent, rinseaidandsaltcanresultinlesseffectivedishwashingandalsoentailgreater environmentalimpact.

Runafullyloadeddishwasher

Saveenergyandwaterbywaitinguntilthedishwasherisfullbeforerunningaprogram(seenumber ofstandardplacesettings).UsetheRinseandholdprogramtorinsethedishesifthereareany unpleasantodours.

YoucanalsousetheAnti-odourprogramtopreventbadodoursfromdirtydishesleftinthe dishwasher.

Runprogramsatalowertemperature

Ifthedishesareonlyslightlydirty,youcanselectaprogramwithalowtemperature.

Selectdishwashingprogram—Eco

This program is suitable for washing normally soiled dishes and isth most effective program in terms of combined energy and water consumption. This program is used to assess compliance with EU legislation on one ecodesign.

Thedishwashingprogramisdesignedforaneffectivewashasusingaslittleenergyandwateras possible. Theprogramwashesatalowtemperatureforalongtime.

Selection-Automaticdooropening

BetterdryingresultsareachievedifyousetheAutomaticdooropeningoption,whichautomatically openthedishwasherdoor.Waituntilthedishwasherindicatesthattheprogramhasendedandthe disheshavecooledbeforeunloadingthedishwasher.

Connecttocoldwater

Connectthedishwashertothecoldwatersupplyifthebuildingisheatedusingoil,electricityorgas.

Connecttohotwater

Connectthedishwashertothehotwatersupply(max.70°C)ifthebuildingisheatedusingan energy-efficientmeanssuchasdistrictheating,solarpowerorgeothermalpower.Choosingahot waterconnectionreducethedishwasher'senergyconsumption.

NOTE!

Donotexceedthepermittedwatersupplytemperature.Certainmaterialsusedinsomecookware cannot withstand high heat. See Fragile dishes in the chapter Loading the dishwasher.

Loadingthedishwasher

Fragiledishes

Somecookwareisnotdishwashersafe. This can be for several reasons. Somematerials cannot withstand high heat, others can be damaged by dishwasher detergent.

Exercisecautionwith,forexample,handmadeitems,fragiledecoration,crystal/glassware,silver,copper,tin,aluminium,woodandplastic.Lookforthe"Dishwashersafe"marking.

Fragiledecoration

Porcelainwithdecorationontopoftheglazing(theitemsfeelrough)shouldnotbewashedina dishwasher.

Crystal/Glass

Washfragileitemsmadeofcrystal/glassusingthegentledishwashingprogramCrystalglass. Remembertouseasmallamountofdetergentandtoplaceitemssothattheydonottoucheach otherduringthewash.

Dryingisfasterandabetterresultisachievedifyouuserinseaid.Youwillalsoachieveabetterdishwashingresultwithclearandspotlessdishes.

Hand-paintedglassware, as well as antique and very fragile items, should not bewashed in dishwasher.

Silver

Silverandstainlesssteelitemsshouldnotcomeintocontact, asthesilvercanbecomediscoloured.

Inordertoavoidmarksandtarnishing, separatedishesmadefromdifferentmetals,suchassilver, stainlesssteelandaluminium.

Aluminium

Aluminiumcanloseitsshineifwashedinadishwasher. However, goodqualityaluminiumpanscan bewashedinadishwasher, even if some of the shinewillbelost.

Cutlerywithgluedhandles

Sometypesofgluearenotdishwashersafe.Insuchcases,thehandlesmayloosen.

Loadingaffectstheresults

Loadthedishescarefullytoensurethebestwashinganddryingresultswiththelowestpossible energyandwaterconsumption.Giveyourdishwasherthebestchancetoreachandcleanallsurfaces, aswellastodrythedishesasthoroughlyaspossible.

• Allirtysurfaceshouldfaceinwardsanddownwards!
• Dishesshouldnotbeplacedinoroneachother.
• Angle dishes with hollows, such as cups, so that the rinse water will run off. This is also important for plastic items.
• Make sure small items cannot fall through the dishwasher basket; place them in the top cutlery tray.

NOTE!

Checkthatthesprayarmscanrotatefreely.

Thedishwasher'sbaskets

Thedishwasherisequippedwithatopcutlerytray,anupperbasket,amiddlebasketandalower basketwithacutlerybasket.

Theappearanceofthebasketsmaydifferdependingonthedishwashersetup.

Topcutlerytray

Thetopcutlerytrayhasspaceforcutlery,ladles,whisks,servingcutleryandsimilaritems.

Avoidplacingtallobjectsinthetopcutlerytray. Theycanblockthetopsprayarm.

The Automatic door opening option is important for ensuring the best drying results.

Preheated(30min+20min)

Adishwashingprogramwithapreheatingphase(thewaterisheatedfor30min)andadishwashing phase(thedishesarewashedfor20min).Thisprogramisdesignedtoofferyouaquickdishwashing programthatcanbestartedwithin180minutesofthepreheatingphaseending.

Step1: Tostartthepreheatingphase, press. Closethedoor. (Thesprayarmsrotate and the statuslightisredwhilethewaterisbeingpreheated.) Waituntilthestatuslightturnsblue. When you openededoor, the displayshows "Preheatingphasecompleted", indicating that the dishwashing phase is ready to be started within 180 minutes.

Crystalglass

Agentledishwashingprogramwithalowtemperatureforwashingfragileitemsmadeofcrystal/glass. Remembertouseasmallamountofdetergentandtoplaceitemssothattheydonottoucheach other during the wash. The program adapt to the specified running time or finish time. With this program it is important to choose times suited to how dirty the dishes are.

2. Press and closetedoor. Thetimercountsdownandthedishwasherstartsaftertheselected delay.

If you want to cancel the Delayed start option, open the do or then press and hold for three seconds.

Automaticdooropening

Thedishwasherdooropensduringthedryingphase,whichshortenstheprogramtimeandimproves thedryingresults.Waituntilthedishwasherindicatesthattheprogramhasendedandthedishes havecooledbeforeunloadingthedishwasher.

The drying time of the Automatic door opening option varies (from 5 to 90 minutes) depending on the model, program and temperature of the final rinse.

The Automatic door opening option is pre-selected for some programs.

Forthebestdryingresults, donotclosethedoorbeforethedryingphasehasfinishedandthe machinehasautomaticallyswitchedoff.

WARNING!

Press until the display shows "Program started, closed door". This indicates that the dishwasher is ready to start. Closethodoor properly, other-wise the dishwasher will not start.

If the dishwasher is not started or the door is not closed within 2 minutes of the last time the control panel was pressed, them machines switches off.

Stoppingorchangingaprogram

If you want to change program after starting the dish washer, opened door then press and hold for three seconds. Add more detergentifth elid of the detergent dispenser has opened. Then select anew program, press and closeted door.

Remainingtime

Once you have selected a program, program mode and options, the time the program took when last used is displayed.

Once you have started the dishwasher, the display show stheremaining program time. Theremaining time is updated during the drying phase.

This may differ somewhat from timetotimed depending on the temperature of the watersupply, the amount of dishes, the ambient temperature and other factors.

During the first run of each program, theremaining timed displayed can be slightly misleading, as the dish washer is estimating the time. When your the program is second time, the dish washer will calculate the remaining time based on the previous duration of the program.

If the dishwashing program was remot started, the interrupted program will continue on the door is closed. You can monitor the dishwasher using the ConnectLife app and remote stop the program, although you will not be able to remain start it again.

3) You should not load more redishes if the status light is red.

Usingthedishwasher

Powerfailure

Ifthedishwasheristurnedoffduetoapowerfailurewhenadishwashingprogramisrunning,the programcontinueswhenpowerisrestored.Ifthepoweriscutduringdrying,theprogramis interrupted.

If the dish washing program was removed and has not ended, the program will continue once the power is restored. You can monitor the dish washer using the ConnectLife app and remotestop the program, although you will not be able to remain start it again.

If you opened the door form more than 2 minutes during drying, the program will be interrupted.

The door can be opened manually if the dish washer is not connected to the electrical supply. Grasp the door on both sides at the top and pull it straight out.

Oncetheprogramhasfinished

Theendoftheprogramisindicatedbyoneshortsignalfromthebuzzer. Thechapter Settings describeshowtochangethisfunction.

Moreover, the end of the program is indicated by the status light turning green.

Oncethedishwasherdoorisopenedandtheprogramhasfinished"Programdone"appearsonthe display.

The dishwasher automatically enters standby mode after the program has finished. Shutoff the water tap after each use (if required by your insurance company).

Setup
