SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• This appliance, including the motor, is intended for grilling only.
  • Always use only the supplied power cord.
• The power cord should be checked regularly for damage. If it is damaged, do not use the appliance.
• Children over the age of 8 years, mentally, sensorially and physically handicapped persons may only use the appliance if they have been thoroughly familiarized with the functions and safety precautions by a supervisor responsible for them and understand the risks involved.
• Keep the device and the cable out of the reach of children.
• If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised specialist company or a similarly qualified person.
• Never operate the device in a damp environment or in the rain.
• Unplug the power cord before cleaning. Make sure that the plug does not get wet.
• Check the unit and the electrical components regularly for wear. If any parts are broken, do not use the appliance any further.
• Never place the appliance on an uneven surface.
• The appliance is not intended for commercial use, but only for domestic use and similar environments. This includes kitchens in offices, farms, hotels, motels and facilities that offer bed & breakfast.
• Turn off the appliance, unplug the power cord and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning and storing.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
• Never clean the appliance under running water, this can cause a short circuit or electric shock!
• The grill motor may only be used outside in dry weather. Do not use it in rain or high humidity.

CAUTION

Risk of burns! Parts of the grill become very hot when the appliance is in operation. Be careful and use protective gloves when using the grill.

ASSEMBLY

Required for assembly:

• M6 hexagon socket wrench
• M10 hexagon socket wrench
- Open key
- M6 Sleeve
• Cross-type screwdriver

WARNING

Risk of suffocation! This grill is for outdoor use only and shall not be used in a building, garage or any other enclosed area. Toxic carbon monoxide fumes can accumulate and cause asphyxiation.

• This grill is not for commercial use.
• Children and pets should be kept at a safe distance during use.
- Do not use petrol, white spirit, lighter fluid or alcohol for lighting.
- Do not use this grill until it is completely assembled and all parts are securely fastened and tightened.
- Do not use the grill on surfaces made of wood or other flammable materials.
- Always empty this grill after use. Do not remove ashes or charcoal until they are completely and fully extinguished.
- Do not touch the grill until it has cooled down completely. Wear heat-resistant gloves during use.
- Do not touch or move the grill during use as it is hot.
- Do not stow the grill until it has cooled down completely and the ashes have been disposed of.
• Always use a safety tool and heat resistant gloves when adding or moving fuel.
- Do not leave the grill unattended during use.
- Do not overload the grill with fuel. Use 8-10 kg of coal.
- Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or relighting! Use only firelighters complying to EN 1860-3!
- Avoid breathing smoke from the fire and avoid getting it into your eyes.
• Always thoroughly inspect the grill before use.
- A slight discolouration of finish may occur after use.
• Children under the age of 8 are not allowed to use the grill.
- Children over the age of 8 and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or those with a lack of experience and knowledge may only use the device if they are instructed on how to do so by a person responsible for their safety, or if they are supervised and understand the hazards associated with the use of the device. Children may not clean or carry out user maintenance without supervision.

Mount the wheels with brake and without brake on the legs. Attach the legs to the grill housing with M10*40 hexagonal screws and the adjustable rods with M8*40 screws.

Mount the side covers with M6*10 hexagonal bolts, washers and nuts.

Secure the rear cover with M6*10 hex bolts, washers and nuts.

Fasten the ventilation covers with M6 cross head screws, washers and nuts.

Secure the front cover and stainless steel hinge with M6*10 screws, washers and M6 nuts.

Mount the thermometer and make sure that it points in the right direction. Fasten the front handle with M6 cross screws. Fasten the window with M6*10 hexagonal screws, washers and nuts.

Fasten the side handle with M6 cross screws.

Mount the motor mount and the spit mount at the desired height.

9 Mount the motor.

Fasten the coal grids, the grill grids and the spit.

11 Secure the front cover and side cover with the locking bolt and chain.

Assembly is now complete.

OPERATION

• Remove all packaging materials from the outside and inside of the grill.
• Check that the voltage of your appliance matches the voltage of your power outlet.
  • Fully unwind the power cord before use.
• If you are using an extension cord, place it so that no one will trip over it.
• When using it, take care not to wrap clothing or other objects around the motor.
• Before using the grill for the first time without food, light the fire without the motor for about 30 minutes to remove all factory contamination.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Pull the plug out of the socket.
- Let the grill cool down completely.
- Clean the individual parts of the grill with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
- Only wipe the motor with a damp cloth. Make sure that no water gets into the motor.

Storage

Protect the motor from dust and dirt. If the unit is not to be used for a long time, wrap it in plastic foil and store it in a dry place.
