7. DIAL AND BUTTONS

Pressing this button for a few seconds allows to activate or deactivate the appliance. As the Stand-by function automatically deactivates the appliance to decrease the energy consumption in a few cases, you may need to activate the appliance again

AEG LR794HUD - DIAL AND BUTTONS - 1

The default selected programme, at machine switch on, is always the Eco 40-60 programme, also after wake up from standby.

7.2 Introduction

AEG LR794HUD - Introduction - 1

The options/functions are not selectable with all washing programmes. Check the compatibility between options/functions and washing programmes in the "Programme Chart". An option/function can exclude another one, in this case the appliance doesn't allow you to set the incompatible options/functions together. Make sure the screen and touch buttons are always clean and dry.

By rotating the programme dial it is possible to select the desired programme.

Set this option as last after programme and other options selection, otherwise it can be cancelled if you change some setting.

This option allows to choose the time within a programme should terminate. The programme end can be postponed by one 1 hour every button touch until 24 hours maximum.

The display alternates between the normal programme duration and the set programme end time in hours. The minimum selectable time is the next whole hour above the programme's maximum duration; for example, if the cycle lasts 3:15 hours, the minimum selectable time is 4 hours.

7.6 Plus Steam

The Plus Steam option adds a steam phase followed by a short anti-crease phase at the end of the washing programme. This steam phase reduces fabric creasing and makes ironing easier. For optimal results, the maximum load with this option is 2 kg (about 8-10 shirts) because steam penetrates better with more space. When the Plus Steam option is set, the display indicates a maximum load of 2 kg, and the programme time adjusts accordingly. During the steam phase, the corresponding indicator blinks. When the programme ends the display shows a zero, the indicator remains steady. The anti-crease phase then begins, the indicator is blinking, and the Start/Pauze -

Départ/Pause lights up. The drum performs gentle movements for about 30 minutes to maintain steam benefits.

To interrupt the anti-crease phase, you can:

  • Press the Aan/Uit - Marche/Arrêt button for a few seconds to activate/deactivate the appliance.
  • Turning the programme dial in another position.

i

-This option can affect the programme duration.
-For the best results, it's advised to use a small laundry load.

7.7 Extra spoelen - Rinçage Plus

i

The programme Fijne was - Délicats can be shorten only once

- In case of smaller load, touch this button twice to set an extra quick programme.

i

The temperature 95^ is not selectable on the programme Katoen - Coton.

i

This option is not available with a temperature lower than 40 °C.

Stoom - VapeurCotton, synthetic and mixed items. Special steam cycle without washing that can be used to prepare your dried laundry for ironing or refreshing garments worn once. This programme reduces creases, odours and relaxes the fibres. Do not use any detergent. When the programme is completed, quickly remove the laundry from the drum2). If necessary, remove stains by washing or using localized stain removal. Steam programmes do not perform any hygienic cycle. Do not set a Steam programme with these types of items:Items that are not suitable for tumble drying.Items with label "Dry clean only".
Machine clean Maintenance cycle with hot water to clean and freshen the drum and to remove residue that may cause odour. Before running this cycle, remove all items from the drum. Pour a cup of chlorine bleach or a washing machine cleaner in the washing phase compartment of the detergent dispenser. DO NOT use both together3).
Hygiene White cotton items. This high-performance wash programme combined with steam vapour, removes more than 99,99% of bacteria and viruses4) keeping the temperature above 60°C throughout the washing phase; with an additional action on the fibers thanks to a vapour phase, an enhanced rinsing phase ensures a proper removal of detergent and micro-organism residues. This programme ensures also a proper reduction of pollens/allergenic items.
Spoelen - RinçageAll fabrics, except woollens and very delicate fabrics. Programme for rinsing and spinning the laundry. The default spin speed is the one used for cotton programmes. Reduce the spin speed accordingly to the type of laundry. If necessary, set the Extra spoelen - Rinçage Plus option to add rinses. With a low spin speed the appliance performs delicate rinses and a short spin.
Centrifug./Pompen - Essorage/VidangeTo spin the laundry and to drain the water in the drum. All fabrics, except woollens and delicate fabrics.
1) During this cycle the drum rotates slowly to ensure a gentle wash. It can seem that the drum doesn't rotate or doesn't rotate properly, but this is normal for this programme.2) If you set a Steam programme with dried laundry, at the end of the cycle the laundry can be humid. Line dry the items for about 10 minutes. This programme does not remove particularly intense odour.3) After the drum cleaning, run a further rinse cycle with empty drum and no detergent to remove any residue of bleach.Tested for Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecium, Candida albicans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and MS2 Bacteriophage in external test performed by Swissatest Testmaterialien AG in 2021 (Test Report No. 202120117).

8.2 Stoom - Vapeur programmes

AEG LR794HUD - Stoom - Vapeur programmes - 1

The Stoom - Vapeur programmes can be used for reducing wrinkles and odours on

garments (such as cottons, synthetics, mixed fabrics, including delicates) that just need to be refreshed, in a short time, avoiding washing.

The fabric fibres are relaxed and afterwards ironing becomes effortless. When the cycle is completed, quickly remove the laundry from the drum.

The cycle duration can be reduced till 15 minutes by means of the Tijd besparen - Gain de Temps option.

DO NOT set this mode with the following type of items:

  • Items that are not suitable for tumble drying.
  • Items with label "Dry clean only".

AEG LR794HUD - Stoom - Vapeur programmes - 2

Do not use any detergent!

The Stoom - Vapeur programmes do not remove particularly intense odour and do not perform any hygienic cycle.

After the steam treatment the laundry can be humid. Hang items out for a few minutes.

The fragrance (AEG Steam Fragrance)

The AEGSteam Fragrance allows you to refresh even your delicate clothes, removing

wrinkles and adding freshness with a gentle fragrance developed exclusively by AEG. By refreshing your garments with steam, rather than running full wash cycles, you will keep your clothes looking and feeling new longer. You can even safely use the fragrance with Cashmere and Steam programmes - if they are available - for delicate fabrics like cashmere and wool. When treating smaller load reduce the fragrance dosage and the cycle duration: in only fifteen minutes, your clothes will regain that "just washed" feeling.

Read carefully the instructions supplied with the fragrance.

DO NOT:

  • Tumble dry the garments treated with fragrance. Its benefit would evaporate.
  • Use the fragrance with different purposes than those here described.
  • Use the fragrance on new garments. New garments may contain residual finishing compounds which are not compatible with it.

AEG LR794HUD - DO NOT: - 1

The fragrance is available on AEG web shop or by authorised dealer.

- greasy clothes,
- mould in the appliance.
