Check 4 points: 1) Polish the upper axle with the oil stone. 2) Retighten the springs if loose. 3) For fine wires, adjust the axis spacing to 0.3-0.6 mm. 4) If the cables are hot, wait for them to cool down.

How to replace a blade on the SMS-038 stripper?

Unscrew the worn blades and replace them with the provided spare blades. Make sure to secure them properly before use.

Can I use the stripper for large diameter cables?

Yes, up to 40 mm. Insert large cables into the corresponding large feed holes.

How to avoid damaging cables during stripping?

Cut the cable head before feeding and use the feed hole suitable for its diameter. Adjust the cutting depth gradually.

INSTRUCTIONS

Wire stripping range: Φ1.5mm ~ 40mm

This machine is easy to operate and convenient to carry. It can process single-core copper wire and twin-core copper wire.

Please note that there will be a small margin of error in actual use.

1. Compare the cable/wire diameters with the feeding holes on the machine, and feed the cables/wires one at a time. Before feeding, cut off the head of the cable/wire to avoid gaps that could damage the blades.
2. On the output side, if the cuts on the cables/wires are too deep, please check the following points:

(1) Adjust the handles on the input side, either screw down or loosen (M12 handles). (2) Check whether the cables/wires are in the correct position as you feed them. (3) Make sure the blades are sharp; if not, sharpen them with the oil stone.

1. On the output side, if the plastic (PVC) has been stripped but the copper wires cannot be discharged, please check the following 4 points:

(1) Polish the axis of the upper side with the oil stone. (2) Check whether the springs are loose; if so, tighten them. (3) If the diameter of the cables/wires is too small, adjust the gap between the two axes to 0.3-0.6 mm.

(4) If the cables/wires you want to strip are hot, the wires may not be stripped out properly.

4. If the cables/wires are blocked in the axes, please check the following points:

(1) If the springs on the press wheels are too tight, loosen them. (2) If there is too much oil on the cables/wires, wipe it off.

5. If the blades appear tilted:

(1) Check whether the center adjuster is loose. (2) Perform centering adjustment and adjust the screws on both sides of it.

Make sure the cable/wire diameters are similar to the feeding holes: large cables/wires go in large feeding holes, small cables/wires in small feeding holes, and flat cables/wires in flat feeding holes.
