How to use the Vevor RTD-23A towel warmer?

Place slightly damp (not soaked) towels in the metal basket, close the door, then press the power button. Do not overload and do not place towels directly against the walls. Heating takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Use the provided tongs or heat-resistant gloves to remove hot towels.

Can I use the UV sterilization function?

Yes, press the UV button after turning on the unit. The UV indicator lights up. Let it run for 30 minutes for effective sterilization. The UV lamp is EPA registered.

How damp should towels be before placing them in the unit?

Towels should be slightly damp, not soaking wet. Wring them out several times to remove excess water. Overly wet towels lengthen heating time and may cause excessive humidity.

Is it safe to leave the unit on unattended?

It is not recommended to leave the unit unattended while on. Although it has an auto-shutoff thermostat, close supervision is advised, especially near children.

How to clean the inside and outside of the towel warmer?

Turn off and unplug the unit. Wait for it to cool. Clean interior surfaces with a soft cloth (no harsh chemicals). Clean exterior with a soft cloth and mild soap. Empty the drip tray regularly.

What if the door does not close properly or steam escapes?

Check that the silicone door seal is properly seated. Push it into the groove to ensure a perfect seal. If the seal is damaged, contact support.

How to replace the UV bulb?

Turn off and unplug the unit. Remove the back panel by unscrewing the screws, then the fiberglass. Unplug the bulb wires, unscrew the bulb housing, replace the faulty bulb with a new one, then reassemble in reverse order. Caution: hot parts, wait for cooling.

Why are my towels heating slowly?

Slow heating is often due to towels being too wet. Make sure they are only slightly damp. Also check that the unit is not overloaded and that air circulates freely (at least 30 mm from walls).

Can I use this towel warmer outdoors?

No, this unit is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain or outdoor humidity. Place it on a flat, solid surface away from heat sources and water.

What types of towels can I use?

Preferably use 100% cotton towels. Synthetic or delicate towels may not withstand the internal temperature (158-176 °F). Do not let towels come into direct contact with the interior wall to avoid fabric scorching.

BEFORE OPERATION

• Be sure to remove all packing material before use.
• Place the unit on a well-ventilated, flat, sturdy surface away from the sources. The unit should not be used in the immediate vicinity of (such as bathtubs, washbowls, etc.) where the likelihood of immersion may occur. Keep at least 30 mm away from walls and other objects.
• Plug cord into a power outlet.
• Remove the wire basket and set aside.

OPERATION

1. Please fold or roll up the damp or pre-moistened towels but not ones into the wire basket of hot towel warmer. Try to wring out the several times to shorten the heating time.
2. The inside wall temperature is 158 - 176°F. 100% cotton dry towels be put as well but not any other cloths which couldn't bear this high temperature, and keep it within less than 2 hours heating. Please keep towel away from the inner wall of warmer.
3. Do not overload the wire basket or directly place towels into the warmer.
4. Close the door firmly and press the Power button to turn on. The indicator near the switch will be on to show that the towel cabinet has started heating.
5. In about 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on how many towels you put in while keeping the door closed, the temperature inside the cabinet will up to approximately 158 - 176°F and will be kept automatically. Avoid opening cabinet when towels are heated.
6. Turn off the power button whenever you want to add more towels heating process will be restarted. The thermostat will automatically stop working when temperature reaches 158 - 176°F. It's safe to keep it on.
7. If desired, press the UV button to turn on the EPA-registered UV sterilization system. The indicator near the switch will be on to show that the UV is working. Wait 30 minutes for the sterilization process to complete.
8. Whenever you want to open the door, please first turn off the unit and wait for the indicator light to go off. Stay a safe distance from the cabinet door when opening it to avoid being burned by high-temperature steam from the cabinet. Remove towels with tongs or heat-resistant gloves.
9. Towels may be too hot to apply immediately, and caution should be used before applying them to the face or body.

MAINTENANCE

1. Turn OFF the unit.
2. Unplug the cord from the outlet.
3. Wait for contents to cool before handling. Contents may be hot. Remove the wire basket and towels. Set the wire basket aside to dry.
4. With a soft cloth, wipe down the internal surfaces. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives. To clean the exterior, use a soft cloth and mild detergent.
5. Pull the drip tray forward and empty its contents. Set the drip tray aside to dry.

REPLACING THE BULB

1. Turn OFF the unit.
2. Unplug the cord from the outlet.
3. Remove all the screws on the back panel and open the back panel.
4. You can see the Glass Fibre after opening the back panel. See Fig. 1.

1. Take out the Glass Fibre back, you can see the position of the bulb. See Fig. 2.

1. Unplug both lines. See Fig. 3.

1. Loosen the screws on the small box (the screws are connected to the inside of the liner and can be screwed out from the inside of the liner). See Fig. 4a & 4b.

1. On the right side of the box, you can see two screws. Screw out the screws and open the small cover of the box. See Fig. 5a & 5b.

1. Remove the faulty bulb. Insert a new bulb back inside the small box, close the lid, and tighten the two screws on the lid. See Fig. 6a & 6b.

1. Reattach both lines and tighten the screws of the box. See Fig. 7b.

1. Replace glass fibre and reattach back panel.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. There is excessive moisture when the towel warmer is ON or the towels are heating up very slowly. Check to see that the towels are only snug and damp. Excess moisture and/or slow heating time may be a result of towels.
2. The door is not closing properly and/or steam is escaping. Check silicone door seal is in place. Push into door groove to assure proper seal.
