Frequently Asked Questions - RC-8238 Vevor

What oil should I use in the Vevor RC-8238 popcorn machine?
Use coconut oil, rapeseed oil, or clarified butter. Do not exceed 15 g of oil per batch. The recommended ratio is 3 parts corn to 1 part oil.
Why is my popcorn burning?
Check the amount of oil: too little oil can burn the kernels. Also make sure the kettle is preheated (3-4 minutes) before adding the corn.
How to clean the kettle?
Let the machine cool down, then remove the kettle. Clean the inside and outside with a damp cloth. For a deep clean, boil water in the kettle (1-2 cups) with the agitator running, then empty it. Never immerse the kettle in water and do not put it in the dishwasher.
The machine does not heat up, what should I do?
Check that the plug is properly connected and the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the heating switch is in the ON position. If the problem persists, the kettle may be defective and needs to be replaced.
What electrical voltage is required?
The RC-8238 model is available in 110-120 V versions for North America and 220-240 V versions for Europe and Australia. Check the rating label near the power cord.
Can I use sugar or honey in the machine?
Yes, you can add liquid sugar or honey to taste, but mix them with the kernels before pouring into the kettle. Be careful, sugar can caramelize and stick to the kettle.
The agitator does not rotate, what should I check?
Make sure the agitator switch is ON. If nothing happens, the plastic gear box inside the top of the machine may be broken. Contact customer service.
How long does it take to make a batch of popcorn?
After turning on the heating and agitator, the first popcorn starts to pop after about 2 minutes. Full popping usually takes 3 to 5 minutes depending on the quantity.
Is the popcorn getting stuck in the machine?
Check that the plastic gear box is not broken. Also make sure you do not exceed the kettle capacity (approximately 90 g of corn). Excess corn can block the agitator.
Where can I get spare parts or technical support?

Turn on the Stirrer & Heater (2) and boil the water for 1 to 2 minutes. After that, turn off the stirrer heater and carefully pour the water from the popcorn kettle into the bowl or container. Repeat the same procedure 2 to 3 times for the best cleaning effect.
