How to use the Vevor WA10-1 rice cooker?

Before first use, clean the appliance. Open the lid, place washed rice in the inner pot, add water (recommended ratio 1:1.3 for white rice). Close the lid, plug in the appliance, the "Cook" light turns on. Press the switch to start cooking. Once the water has evaporated, the appliance automatically switches to "Keep Warm" mode. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

How much water should I add for cooking rice?

Use the provided measuring cup. For white rice, the recommended ratio is 1 volume of rice to 1.3 volumes of water. You can also use the graduated marks inside the pot. For example, for 15 cups of rice, fill water to the 15 line. Adjust according to your preferences after a few uses.

How to clean the rice cooker?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Hand wash the inner pot, lid and accessories in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth then dry. Never immerse the housing, cord or plug. Do not use metal brushes or abrasive products.

What to do if the rice is not cooked properly?

First check the water amount: lack of water can leave rice hard. Ensure the pot is in good contact with the heating plate and the sensor works. You can add a little water and restart a cooking cycle manually. The rice type also affects the result; adjust the ratio after a few tries.

Can I cook other foods besides rice?

This appliance is primarily designed for cooking rice. You can cook other grains (quinoa, barley) by adjusting water ratios. However, do not use it for very liquid or greasy foods that could damage the sensor or heating plate.

Why doesn't the appliance turn on?

Check that the inner pot is properly inserted and in good contact with the sensor. The appliance has a safety mechanism that prevents cooking if the pot is not in place. Also ensure the plug is fully inserted and the outlet works.

What are the important safety instructions?

Do not use outdoors. Keep away from heat sources, moisture and sharp edges. Do not immerse in water. Do not touch hot surfaces during and after cooking. Use only on a flat surface. Unplug before cleaning. Do not leave children unattended.

How to maintain the heating plate?

The heating plate is at the bottom of the housing. To maintain it, wipe with a dry cloth after the appliance has cooled. Never pour water or liquid directly on the plate. Avoid deforming the inner pot as it could damage the plate.

Can I use metal utensils in the pot?

It is not recommended to use metal utensils as they can scratch the pot coating. Prefer wooden, silicone or heat-resistant plastic utensils to preserve the non-stick surface.

How to use

1. Before initial use, remove the packaging and check the scope of delivery. We recommend cleaning the appliance as described under "Cleaning". 2. Open the lid.
2. Make sure the bottom surface of the rice pot and the heating plate in the cooker are clean enough. Proper care should be taken to avoid any deformation of the rice pot, otherwise the heating plate may be damaged or cooking performance may be impaired.
3. Wash the rice thoroughly and put it into the rice pot, making the rice level, then add a certain amount of water. A proportion is advised to be 1: (raw rice vs water). For example, if you wish to cook 15 cups of rice, add 15 small measuring cups of rice to the pot and fill with water to the rice (CUP) mark, e.g., 15. After some experiments, the bigger measuring cup is optional to make measuring much faster.

Tips: Cooking performance will vary depending on rice type.

You can regulate the proportion after some experiments for best taste.

1. Place the rice pot into the cooker well, rotate the rice pot to make the pot level and connecting well with the sensor.
2. Close the lid.
3. Connect the plug to the mains supply, the "COOK" indicator lights up. Press the switch down, the "WARM" indicator lights up and "COOK" goes out. The rice cooker is cooking.

8. Once the water has evaporated in the rice pot, the appliance switches automatically to "Warm", ending the cooking process. The "Warm" light is lit and the "Cook" light goes out.

Tip: Leave the rice for a further 5 minutes prior to serving. 9. Disconnect the power plug from the socket.

10. Open the lid and stir up the rice. Now the rice is ready to serve.

Cautions when using

• Always fill the rice pot with water, never fill the housing cooker. - Use the rice pot as an insert in this device only. Cleaning

1. Pour out the contents of the rice pot after it has cooled down.
2. Clean the lid, rice pot, steamer, spoon, and measuring cup by hand in a warm rinsing bath.
3. Rinse the parts thoroughly with clear water and allow them to dry.
4. Wipe off the inside and outside of the housing cooker with a damp cloth, then wipe it with a dry cloth.

Cautions when cleaning

• Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before cleaning and

until the unit has cooled down.

• Never immerse the housing cooker, the line cord, and the mains plug in water, as otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

How to use
