Frequently Asked Questions - AGLED-40002 Vevor

How to install the AGLED-40002 water purifier?
Install the device horizontally, indoors, protected from leaks. Connect the 1/4" tubes respecting the water flow direction (inlet to outlet). Connect the power: either a DC 12/24V source (diagram 4.1), or an AC mains adapter (diagram 4.2). Make sure to have suitable pretreatment (filter) upstream.
What is the lifespan of the UV LED?
UV-C LEDs support unlimited on/off switching without degradation. The manufacturer recommends replacing the entire purifier every 3 years.
The green light does not turn on, what to do?
Check the DC power and connections. Ensure the inlet and outlet are properly connected. If the problem persists, it may be an internal malfunction; contact after-sales service.
Why does water become grayish after treatment?
A grayish appearance or bubbles are normal at low flow: dissolved air is released as microbubbles. The water becomes clear again after 1 to 2 minutes.
How to maintain the purifier?
Mark the installation date and replace the device every 3 years. Regularly check for leaks and immediately replace any damaged component.
What are the dangers related to UV light?
Never look directly at an illuminated UV LED without eye protection. UV-C light is harmful to eyes and skin. Always wear appropriate protective glasses and cover your skin during maintenance.
Can I use this device with hard water?
Yes, but the water must meet certain parameters: hardness < 120 mg/L, turbidity < 1 NTU, iron < 0.3 mg/L, etc. Too hard or loaded water can reduce efficiency and require pretreatment.
Is pretreatment necessary?
Yes, it is strongly recommended to install pretreatment equipment (filter) to remove sand, sediments, and adjust water parameters (hardness, iron, manganese, etc.) to ensure optimal UV transmission (≥93%).
What to do in case of a leak?
Check the connections and tubes. In case of significant dripping, close the pipe shut-off valve. Immediately replace any damaged or cracked component.
Where to find spare parts or technical assistance?
The device contains no user-serviceable parts. For any assistance or warranty claim, contact the technical service via www.vevor.com/support.

WHAT IS UV LED & BENEFITS OF UV LED

What is a UV-C LED?

The UVC region of the UV spectral range refers to wavelengths between 100 nm to 280 nm. In the case of disinfection, the optimum wavelength is in the region of 260 nm to 270 nm, with germicidal efficacy falling exponentially with longer wavelengths. UV-C LED technology is set to provide new, improved, and expanded solutions in both air and water treatment.

Benefits of UV LED water purifier

UV-C LEDs perform the same functions as conventional mercury-vapor lamps but have many benefits in comparison.

Environmentally friendly - conventional UV lamps use heavy metals that are difficult to handle and cost a great deal to dispose of safely. Small design footprint - LEDs are much more compact compared to their mercury-vapor counterparts, meaning they can be integrated easily into new innovative designs. Instant on/off - UV-C LEDs work instantly, so there is no need for a warm-up time that is a common constraint of mercury-vapor lamps. Unlimited cycling - on/off cycles do not impact the life of the LEDs, meaning there is an unlimited scope for lamp cycling. Temperature independent - LEDs can emit photons from a different surface as their heat emissions. They can be designed so that if UV-C LEDs are being used in water purification, they will not transfer heat into the water. Wavelength selection - One of the greatest benefits of UV-C LEDs is that users can configure them to choose a specific wavelength that is best suited for maximum absorption of light for the chosen microorganism.

SAFETY INFORMATION AND WARNINGS

Although your UV system has been manufactured to the highest safety standards, care must be followed when operating and/or maintaining your system.

Warnings and Safety Precautions

TROUBLESHOOTING

SymptomPossible CauseSolution
Grayish/bubbly water. At low flow rates (1 lpm),dissolved air may be released into bubbles to give a greyish color to the water. This is absolutely no issue with the water quality. The bubbles will burst quickly and water becomes clear after about 1-2minutes.
Green light not turning on after turning on the faucet.1.No DC input. 2.Inlet and outlet are connected backwards. 3.Internal driver or UV LED bead malfunction.1.Checked the DC power supply and if the cables in correction connection. 2.Checked if the inlet and outlet are in the correct connection. 3>Contact the seller for replacing the new UV LED water purifier.
Green light on after connecting to the power supply.1.Water is passing the UV LED water purifier. 2.The internal magnet is stuck sothe water flow switch is always on.1.Turn off the faucet then green light will be off. 2.Make sure water filter is installed before UV to remove the sand and dirt.
Very low flow rate of water. The pressure in the system is not high enough. A possible clog in the water line The pressure in the system is not high enough.Check if the pressure in the system meets the requirements indicated in this manual.Checked if the water inlet and outlet are properly connected to the line.Disconnect the faucet and check for and clear the clog.
Drips from the device.Condensation, leakage. In case of extreme dripping, close the shut-off valve in the line.
