03 Safety Warnings
Warning! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and regulations provided with the power tool. Failure to follow the instructions listed can result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury. Keep warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to a mains-powered (wired) power tool or battery-powered (wireless) power tool.
Workplace Safety
. Keep the workplace clean and bright. A cluttered and dark venue can cause accidents.
. Do not operate power tools in an explosive environment, such as an environment with flammable liquid, gas, or dust. Sparks from power tools can ignite dust or gas.
. When operating power tools, keep away from children and bystanders. Inattention can make you lose control of the tool.
Electrical Safety
. The power tool plug must match the socket. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any conversion plugs for power tools that need to be grounded. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will lower the risk of electric shock.
. Avoid human contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, heat sinks, and refrigerators. If you physically touch a ground surface, you will increase the risk of electric shock.
. Do not expose power tools to rain or humid environments. Water entering the power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry, pull, or unplug the power tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When using power tools outdoors, use extension cords suitable for outdoor use. Cords suitable for outdoor use reduce the risk of electric shock.
If it is unavoidable to operate power tools in a humid environment, use a residual current device (RCD) protected power supply. The use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, pay attention to what you are doing, and stay awake when operating power tools. Do not operate power tools when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
A moment of negligence when using a power tool can cause serious personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection used under appropriate conditions reduce personal injuries.
Prevent unintentional starting.
Ensure the switch is in the off position before connecting to a power source or battery pack, picking up, or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energizing them with the switch on invites accidents. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or key left attached to a
rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts. If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
Power tool use and care
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
If the switch does not turn the power tool on or off, it cannot be used. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools, unplug the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack (if removable). This protective safety measure reduces the risk of accidental starting of the power tool.
Store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow people who are unfamiliar with power tools or these instructions to operate power tools. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Do not allow people who are unfamiliar with power tools and who do not understand these instructions to operate power tools. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
Select the power tool, accessories, and tool bits according to the instruction manual, considering the operating conditions and the work to be performed.
Using power tools for operations inconsistent with their purpose may cause dangerous situations. Keep the handles and holding surfaces dry, clean, and free of grease. In the event of an accident, a slippery handle cannot guarantee safe holding and control of the tool.
Battery operated tool use and precautions
Only use the charger specified by the manufacturer to charge the battery pack. Using a charger suitable for one type of battery pack with another battery pack may create a fire hazard.
Only use power tools equipped with a dedicated battery pack. Using other battery packs may cause injury and fire hazards. When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from metal objects such as paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects, to prevent one end of the battery pack from being connected to the other end. A short circuit between the ends of the battery pack may cause burning or fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery pack; avoid contact. If you accidentally touch the liquid, rinse with water. If the liquid gets into your eyes, seek medical help.
You should also seek medical help. Liquid spilled from the battery may cause corrosion or burns.
Do not use damaged or modified battery packs or tools. Damaged or modified battery packs may exhibit unpredictable behavior, resulting in fire, explosion, or injury.
Do not expose the battery pack to fire or high temperatures. Exposing the battery pack to fire or temperatures higher than 130°C may cause an explosion.
When the power tool is not in use, it should be placed to prevent accidental starting and cause danger. When using a power tool to remove a screw, use manual mode first to loosen the screw to avoid damage to the screw.
Service
Have professional maintenance personnel repair power tools using the same spare parts. This will ensure the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Never repair a damaged battery pack. The battery pack can only be repaired by the manufacturer or its authorized repair service provider.
Special requirements for cordless screwdrivers and cordless wrenches
When operating the tool, hold it through the insulated gripping surface if the fastener may touch hidden wiring. If the fastener touches a live wire, the exposed metal parts of the tool become charged and the operator may receive an electric shock.
Tool built-in battery safety warnings
It is forbidden to disassemble, open, or shred the tool.
Do not expose the tool to heat or flame. Avoid storing it in direct sunlight.
It is forbidden to short-circuit the exposed terminals of the tool. Do not put multiple tools in a box or drawer at random to avoid short-circuiting between them or being short-circuited by other metal objects.
It is forbidden to subject the tool to mechanical shock.
If the battery leaks, do not directly contact the skin or eyes with the leaked liquid. If contact occurs, rinse the affected area with plenty of water and seek medical advice promptly. Do not use non-specified power adapters. Keep tools away from children.
Do not use batteries that are not dedicated to the device. Keep tools clean and dry. If the tool is extremely dirty during charging, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. The tool should be charged before use. When charging, use the correct charger and refer to the manufacturer's instructions or the correct instructions in the equipment manual. Do not charge the tool for a long time when not in use.
After long-term storage, the tool needs to be charged and discharged several times to obtain the best performance. The battery performance is best when used at normal temperature (20 ± 5°C).
Keep the original instructions of the product for future reference.
Dispose of the battery properly.
