CAUTION

This appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When plugged in and operated for the first time, there may be a momentary burning smell. This occurs when the coating around the heating element is heated for the first time. This is not dangerous for the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. When using the appliance for the first time, keep it working until the smell dissipates. Smoke dissipates after about 30 seconds.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Keep your appliance well maintained in order to ensure the best performance and to extend product life cycle. If kept clean, the plates will continue to glide easily through your hair. Heat can cause chemical elements (colourings, treatments, mousse, sprays, waxes, etc.) on your hair to be transferred onto the plates. After each use, we recommend disconnecting the appliance from the electrical outlet; let it cool down and then use a damp cloth to remove any residues from the plates. Do not use particularly aggressive agents on the plates of the hair straightening irons. Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using it.
