READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

WARNING: To avoid any risk of fire, electric shock or injury when using an electrical appliance, always observe the basic safety precautions listed below.

Intended Use

• This appliance has been designed for space heating and is intended for domestic or similar use. It should not be used for any other purpose.
• This appliance is not suitable for use in a damp environment such as a bathroom.
• Do not install near a bathtub, shower, washbasin or swimming pool.
• This appliance is intended for private domestic use only and is not suitable for commercial or professional use.
• Do not use this appliance for any purpose other than that for which it was designed.

- Use the appliance only as described in the instructions. Any other use may result in accidents.

Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

- Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

- This appliance may be used by children ages 8 and up, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with this appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children without adult supervision.

• WARNING: Parts of this product may become very hot and cause burns. Special care should be taken in the presence of children and vulnerable persons.
• The heater should not be placed directly underneath an electrical outlet.
• For mounting instructions for the legs, please refer to the user's manual.
  • Children must not play with this appliance.
• Remove all packaging materials before using the appliance. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children, as these materials may constitute a hazard.
• Check that the supply voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds to the voltage in your home.
• Do not open the enclosure under any circumstances. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the openings of the heater and do not block the ventilation openings.

• Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote control or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, as there is a risk of fire if the heater is covered or placed incorrectly.

• Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

• Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.
• Do not use the heater if it shows visible signs of damage.
• Use this mobile convection heater on a level and stable surface.
• CAUTION: Do not use this heater in small rooms when occupied by persons unable to leave the room alone unless constant supervision is provided.
• CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains, or other flammable materials at least 1 m away from the air outlet.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Never place the appliance near a source of radiant heat or directly below an electrical outlet.
• Never use the appliance to dry clothes.
• Never switch on the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged. Consult a service centre authorised by the manufacturer or an electrician for assistance.

• The most common cause of overheating is the accumulation of dust in the air vents of the appliance. Clean the appliance regularly (see section "Cleaning").

• To avoid the risk of burns, never touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.

• Use the appliance on a horizontal surface. Never use the appliance at an angle or on its side.
• Unwind the power cord completely before each use.
• The appliance should never be used with an extension cord.
  • Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
• The power cord must not come into contact with the appliance's hot surfaces.
• Never slide the power cord under a carpet or rug.
• Keep it out of high-traffic areas.
• Never twist, tie or wrap the power cord around the appliance as this may damage it.
• Never store the appliance while it is still hot.
• Never leave your appliance unattended when in operation.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Never allow liquids to spill into the appliance.

• To avoid the risk of electric shock, never immerse the cable, plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.

• Never touch the appliance with wet hands.

• Thermal safety: If the appliance overheats, a safety mechanism will automatically shut it off. In this event, unplug the appliance from the power outlet and plug it back in after it has cooled down.
• If your appliance no longer works, take it to the service department of your retailer, where it will be checked and repaired. Users should never attempt repairs themselves.

- Grounding: this appliance is equipped with a grounded plug. It must be plugged into a properly installed wall socket that is connected to the mains supply in

• If there is a short-circuit, the ground connection reduces the risk of electric shock, by allowing the current to be discharged via the ground wire.

• Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.

• Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface, or fix it to the wall, as applicable.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains, or any other flammable material a minimum distance of 1 m from the air outlet.

Mounting the legs

Caution: The appliance must be unplugged from the power output before it can be installed. Keep all plastic bags out of the reach of children or animals.

1. Remove the appliance and the individual parts from the packaging. Note: Before using your convection heater for the first time, you must assemble the two supplied feet.
2. Place the convector on a flat, level surface.
3. Turn the appliance upside down.
4. Place and secure each leg with the screws provided (an installation wrench is provided for this purpose) on each side of the appliance.
5. Turn the appliance right side up.
6. Your appliance is stable and ready for use.

Notes:

• You should never use your convection heater if the legs have not been assembled.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains after each use.

First-time use

When use for the first time, your appliance may emit a slight odor. This is normal. Therefore, allow for sufficient ventilation. This smell is temporary and will fade quickly.

Power levels

The power levels are indicated by the symbols "I" and "II".

• To set the output power to 1,250 W, put the selector switch on the "I" symbol.
• To set the output power to 2,000 W, put the selector switch on the "II" symbol.
• To set the output power to 1,250 W with turbo function, put the selector switch on the "I" symbol.
• To set the output power to 2,000 W with turbo function, put the selector switch on the "II" symbol.
• To switch off the mobile convection heater, set the selector switch to the "0" symbol.

Minimum safety temperature.

MAX Maximum temperature.

• The temperature can be adjusted with the thermostat.
• Turn the thermostat knob to the maximum temperature < MAX >.

Use

1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable and dry surface.
   NOTE: Do not move, tilt and/or tip the appliance during operation.
2. The power control switch should be in the "O" position.
3. Unwind the power cord completely.
4. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
5. Select one out of the 4 positions on the power selector to start the heater.
6. Set the desired temperature by turning the thermostat control knob.
7. To turn off the appliance, return the 2 selector switches to their initial positions ("O" and "") then unplug the appliance.

cleaning

• IMPORTANT: Always disconnect the power source before cleaning or servicing the appliance.
• WARNING: Allow the appliance to cool completely before handling and cleaning it.
• Warning: Never use detergents, chemicals or solvents as they may damage the plastic parts.
  • To avoid any risk of fire and/or electric shock, do not spill water or any other liquid into the appliance.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and clean the outer surfaces of the appliance.
• For a thorough cleaning, you may use a soft cloth slightly moistened with water and a mild detergent (such as washing-up liquid). Then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before restarting the appliance.
• Clean the ventilation grilles of the appliance regularly.
• Make sure that no water enters the appliance through the ventilation grilles.
• If you are not going to use the appliance for a long period of time, unplug it from the power outlet.

handling/moving the appliance

• Always unplug the power cord from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down before handling or moving it.
• When moving or handling your mobile convection heater, grasp it by the plastic side handles.
  • Always transport the appliance horizontally.
