- Place the waffle maker on a dry, flat, nonslip surface.
- Clean the baking surface with a damp cloth.
- Grease the baking surface before using it for the first time. Otherwise, greasing will not be needed due to the non-stick coating
- In case you use milk or corn-starch you should grease the surface from time to time to avoid that the waffles stick on the coating.
- The two first waffles are unfit for human consumption because of hygienical reasons.

Due to the production residues some smoke can appeared during the first minutes. Therefore, ensure good ventilation during the first time.
CE Label / Safety information

The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable CE directives.
The appliance is designed for indoor domestic use only.

ATTENTION! Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Use wood or heat resistant plastic cutlery, otherwise the non-stick surface could be damaged.
- Appliances in white or light colours could be slightly coloured in brown after a short using time.
- This is provoked due to the baking fumes and it is not possible to avoid.
Preheating
- Plug the appliance into the wall socket. Set the controller to 3 to preheat the appliance. Preheating in a higher level should be avoided in order not to overheat the coat.
• The orange control lamp lights up.
• After some minutes the control lamp goes out and the green control lamp lights up. An audible signal appears.

ATTENTION!
Appliance becomes hot. Do not touch any part of the appliance except the handles or the operating elements.
Baking
- After the preheating the browning regulator can be adjusted as desired. Select a low setting for light waffles or a high setting for dark waffles. The first waffle does not exactly correspond to the browning level selected, for this reason, you should wait until the following waffle before changing the browning level.
- Fill the dough in the rear part of the waffle maker, close the appliance and press down the handles. This way, the dough will spread even over the surface. Once the orange light is on you do not need to continue pressing anymore. The filling process should be quick, otherwise the waffle will not be even browned in both sides.
- Shortly after having filled in the dough the green control lamp goes out. The orange control lamp lights up.
- After termination of the baking process the orange control lamp goes out and the green one lights up again
- The beep signals: The waffle is ready.
• Take the waffle out of the waffle maker immediately after termination of the baking process. We recommend using a wooden fork. - Put the waffles side by side on a baking grid.
Cleaning
- Use a paper towel to clean the appliance while still warm.
- Tip: Place two absorbent paper towels between the baking surfaces and close the appliance
- Afterwards, wipe the waffle maker with a damp cloth but never under running water.
- Do not use caustic cleaning agents.

March,25th International WaffledayOur 10 steadfast rules for baking waffles
- All ingredients should be at room temperature. To make sure all ingredients are at room temperature, the butter, eggs and water should be stored at room temperature for a few hours before baking.
- First mix together all the ingredients apart from: flour, cream of tartar baking powder and mineral water. Make sure that the butter is soft, but not heated to more than room temperature.
- Mix the flour with the specified amount of baking powder. Too much baking powder will leave an unpleasant aftertaste. We therefore recommend cream of tartar baking powder, as it does not have any aftertaste.
- We recommend water instead of milk. Mineral water with a lot of carbonic acid has the same effect as baking powder and therefore makes particularly delicious waffles. The amount of baking powder specified can be reduced by using mineral water.
- Add water and flour alternately to the dough. Only add as much flour at a time that you can mix in completely before adding water again. Avoid the flour coming into direct contact with water, as this will cause lumps to form in the dough.
- Mix in enough water so that the dough is still viscous but still pours smoothly off the spoon.
- Do not add ingredients such as almonds, nuts, flavourings or alcohol to the dough until the end.
- Leave the dough to stand for at least 25 minutes but no longer than an hour. The dough will thicken during this time. Do not stir the dough any more after that and use it all at once. Storing the dough for too long will diminish the baking results.
- Only grease the waffle iron with butter before baking the first waffle. Additional greasing before making further waffles is generally not required for most waffle doughs.
- Place the cooked waffles on a cooling rack. Do not stack freshly baked waffles on top of each other, as this will cause them to go soggy on the surface. Waffles taste best when served fresh.
