Drying of food or clothing and heating of pillows, shoes, sponges, wet clothes and similar items may involve risk of injury, ignition, or fire.

  • Heating up beverages may cause them to boil. For this reason, precautions must be taken when handling the container.
  • The contents of bottles and jars of baby food should be swirled or shaken and the temperature should be checked before consumption to avoid burns.
  • Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwaves, since they may explode even after microwave heating has ended.
  • Do not operate the microwave when empty.
  • This microwave is not intended to be built-in or installed in furniture. It must be freely positioned ensuring the following separation distances:

o Top: at least 20 cm apart.
- Between the appliance and any adjacent wall: at least 5 cm.
o Rear: leave 10 cm of separation.

- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by Cecotec's official Technical Support Service or by similarly qualified personnel to avoid hazards or injuries.

  • Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug are damaged or if it doesn't work properly. In case of malfunction or breakdown, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
  • You must be careful to ensure that the turntable does not shift when the containers are removed from the appliance.
  • Only use cookware that is suitable for microwave use. Make sure cookware does not touch the interior walls during operation.

  • Do not use the appliance for storage purposes.

  • Do not attempt to fry food in the microwave.
  • In order to reduce fire risk:

A Do not overcook food.
B Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing them inside the microwave.
C The microwave should be watched when heating food in plastic or paper containers.

  • In case of smoke or fire inside the appliance, keep the door closed, turn the appliance off, and unplug it from the power supply.
  • Do not place hot or frozen food or cookware on the turntable to prevent breakage.
  • After operation, the container is likely to be very hot. Use gloves to avoid burns and injuries.
  • The appliance must be cleaned regularly and you must remove any food remains. You must clean the door gaskets, cavities, and adjacent parts of the microwave as indicated in the cleaning and maintenance section.
  • The appliance cannot be cleaned with steam.
  • Failure to keep the microwave clean could lead to deterioration of the surface and could adversely affect the shelf life of the appliance and cause hazards.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years of age and under supervision. Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.

  • This appliance is a Group 2 Class B ISM equipment. The definition of Group 2 which contains all ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) equipment in which radio-frequency energy is intentionally generated and/or used in the form of electromagnetic radiation for the treatment of material, and spark erosion equipment. Class B equipment is suitable for domestic use and in establishments directly connected to a low voltage power supply network, which supplies buildings used for domestic purpose.

  • Metal food and beverage containers must not be used during microwave cooking.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timers or separate remote control systems.

2. BEFORE USE

- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the Official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

1. Connecting the microwave to the mains

When the microwave is connected to the mains, the display will switch on and then enter standby mode and show "1:00".

2. Setting the power level

1 Press the icon until the desired power level is selected.
2 Turn the knob to set the cooking time. The adjustable time value ranges from 0:10 to 60:00.
3 After setting the power and time, press the ▷ START/+30s icon to begin the cooking process.
4 When the time is up, the microwave will beep once.

High (high/maximum power)100% and 90% power outputThis power level is suitable for heating food quickly.
M. High (medium-high power)80% and 70% power outputThis power level is suitable for heating food quickly but without using the maximum power.
Med (medium power)60% and 50% power outputThis power level is suitable for steam heating.

Note:

  • The maximum programmable time is 60 minutes.
  • Do not operate the microwave if it is empty.
  • If you use the microwave at maximum power, this will be automatically reduced after a certain period of time to extend the lifespan of the appliance.
  • If you turn the food over while it is cooking, you will need to press the ▷ START/+30s icon for the microwave to resume cooking.

- If you wish to remove the food before the programmed time is up, press the icon to avoid an unintentional restart of the microwave.

3. Defrost/Clock

3.1 Defrost

- This microwave has two defrosting modes:

o dEF1, for defrosting by weight.
o dEF 2, for defrosting by time.

1 Press the ⚙️ L icon to defrost by weight ("dEF1" will appear on the display) or by time ("dEF2" will appear on the display).
2 Then turn the knob to select the select the weight of the food being thawed or the defrosting time. The weight range of dEF1 is from 100 to 1500 g. If you choose the dEF2 defrost mode, the maximum cooking time you can select is 60 minutes.
3 Once defrosting has been set, press the ▷ START/+30s icon to begin the defrosting process.
4 When the time is up, the microwave will beep once.
- If you choose the dEF1 defrost mode, the microwave will beep to remind you to turn the food over during the defrosting process.

Thawing tips:

  • It is recommended to turn the food over halfway through the defrosting process.
  • Defrosting normally takes longer than cooking food.
  • When the food can be easily cut with a knife, it means that it is completely defrosted.
  • Microwaves penetrate about 4 cm into most foods.
  • Defrosted food should be consumed as soon as possible. It is not advisable to put it back in the refrigerator or to refreeze it.

3.2 Clock (24 hours)

1 In standby mode, press and hold the icon for 3 seconds to enter the clock setting mode and change the time displayed on the clock. When entering, the hour value will start flashing.
2 To set it, turn the knob. Once you have chosen the correct hour value, press the START/+30s icon again to confirm the settings and switch to the minute setting mode.
3 Turn the knob to set the minutes. Once you have chosen the correct minute value, press the ▷ START/+30s icon again to confirm the settings and exit the clock setting mode.

4. Preset programmes

1 Press the icon of the desired programme to select it.
2 Then turn the knob to adjust the weight of the food items to be cooked in the microwave. After entering the weight, press the ▷ START/+30s icon to begin the cooking process.
3 When the time is up, the microwave will beep once.

  • The temperature of the food before cooking should be between 20 and 25 °C. If it is lower or higher than these values, you will have to increase or decrease the cooking time.
  • The temperature, weight, and shape of the food will strongly influence the microwave effect on the cooking process. If the characteristics of the food do not completely match those described, adjust the cooking time for best results.

5. Grill function

1 Press the icon and choose the desired mode.

2 Turn the knob to set the cooking time. The maximum cooking time you can select is 60 minutes.
3 After setting the time, press the ▷ START/+30s icon to begin the cooking process.
4 When the time is up, the microwave will beep once.

GIf you select the Grill function, the heating element will start. This function is suitable for browning thin beef steaks, sausages or chicken wings.
C-1If you choose this mode, the Microwave function will run at a 30% power setting and the Grill function at a 70% power setting.
C-2If you choose this mode, the Microwave function will run at a 55% power setting and the Grill function at a 45% power setting.

Note:

  • When the Grill function is on, all internal parts of the microwave, as well as the grill rack and the cooking containers, reach high temperatures. Be careful when removing any item from the microwave.
  • To avoid burns, use thick cloths or oven oven mitts.

6. Reheat

  • This function allows you to reheat food depending on its weight.
  • Press the icon to activate the Reheat function.
  • Use the knob to set the desired weight (200 g, 400 g, 600 g, 800 g or 1000 g). After selecting the weight, press the ▷ START/+30s icon to begin the reheating process. When the time is up, the microwave will beep once.

7. Timer

1 When the microwave is in standby mode, press the icon. "0:00" will appear on the display.
2 Turn the knob to set the timer (up to a maximum of 60 minutes). After setting the time, press the icon to start the countdown.
3 When the time is up, the microwave will beep once.

8. STOP/Lock

  • While adjusting the cooking settings, you can press the STOP/lock icon to cancel the current selection and the microwave will return to standby mode.
  • To pause the cooking process, press the STOP/lock icon while the microwave is working. If you press it again when the cooking process is paused, the programme will be cancelled and the microwave will return to standby mode.

9. START/+30s

  • After setting the cooking time or the weight of the food, press the ▷ START/+30s icon to begin the cooking process.
  • While the microwave is working, you can press the ▷ START/+30s icon once to increase the time by 30 seconds. You will not be able to do this if you have selected the Defrost function or one of the preset programmes.
  • If the microwave is paused, you can press the ▷ START/+30s icon to resume cooking.

10. Safety Child Lock function

  • Use this function to lock the control panel when cleaning or to prevent children from using the microwave without supervision. All the buttons on the control panel will be locked.
  • To activate the Child Lock: when the microwave is in standby mode, press and hold the STOP/lock icon for 3 seconds.
  • To deactivate the Child Lock: press and hold the STOP/lock icon again for 3 seconds.

4. TIPS

  • Food arrangement: place the thickest food parts towards the edge of the turntable. If possible, do not overlap food.
  • Watch the cooking time: cook for the shortest amount of time at first, and add more minutes if necessary. Over-cooking may result in smoke and burns.
  • Cover food while cooking: covering the food you are going to cook avoids spattering and allows for a more even cooking.
  • Flip or stir food once during the cooking process.
  • Follow the recommended pre-heating time. Pre-heating time specified on the food label must not be exceeded.
  • It is important to use materials and containers which are suitable and safe for microwave cooking. The table below shows which materials are suitable and which are not:

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Note: The appliance, as well as food remains, must be cleaned and removed regularly.

  • Disconnect the power cable from the socket before cleaning the appliance. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid when cleaning.
  • If you do not clean the microwave regularly, its service life will be affected.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning products or scouring pads to clean the microwave.

ENGLISH

  • Do not remove the mica plate.
  • When you have finished using the microwave, wipe the inside surfaces that have come into contact with food with a damp cloth to remove any residue and then dry them thoroughly. Accumulated grease can overheat and start to smoke or catch fire.
  • Also clean the exterior, door, seals, viewing window and adjacent parts.
  • If you notice that the microwave is emitting unpleasant odours, follow one of the 3 cleaning methods below:

A Place several lemon slices in a cup and heat them at high power for 2 to 3 minutes.
B Place a cup of red tea and heat it on high power.
C Put in some orange peels and heat on high power for 1 minute.

- When the microwave is not in use, place it in a dry and ventilated place.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

To check that the microwave is working properly, carry out the following checks:

1 Fill a cup with approximately 150 ml of water and close the door. The interior light should switch off if the door is properly closed. Turn the microwave on for one minute.
2 Does the light switch on?
3 Does the cooling fan work? To check this, place your hand over the rear ventilation openings.
4 Does the turntable rotate? The turntable can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. This is normal.
5 Has the water warmed up?

If the answer to any of the above questions is "No", check the socket and the fuse in the meter box. If both the socket and the fuse are not working properly, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
