PRODUCT SAFETY

IMPORTANT NOTES ON CORRECT USE

1. This appliance is intended exclusively for the processing of food for domestic consumption.
2. This appliance is intended for domestic use and similar applications,

such as:

*kitchen areas of shop staff, offices and other working environments;
*agrotourism
*customers of hotels, guesthouses and other residential environments;
*rooms like bed and breakfast.

1. This product is not a toy.
2. Do not leave parts of the packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) within reach of children or dependant persons, as these objects are potential sources of danger (e.g.: risk of suffocation).
3. Use the product for the sole purpose for which it was designed. The manufacturer is not liable for damage or injury caused by improper use.
4. Unauthorised repairs or modifications will invalidate the warranty.
5. Do not use outdoors.
6. Never leave the turned on appliance unattended.
7. Do not place on or near a gas or electric stove, or in a hot oven.
8. Before use, place the appliance on a solid, flat and horizontal surface. Make sure the container with the food is stable and fixed before you use the appliance.
9. Do not operate the appliance with the empty container.
10. To disconnect the appliance, disconnect the plug from the power outlet.
11. Never put the motor unit of the appliance in the dishwasher.
12. Use only original or manufacturer-recommended spare parts and accessories.
13. Do not use the appliance for more than 1 consecutive minutes. After 1 minute of continuous use, allow the unit to rest for 5 minutes before resuming use.
14. Allow hot liquids to cool down to a temperature not exceeding 60^ C before processing them. Be careful when pouring a hot liquid as the sudden presence of steam may cause splashing.
15. Do not use to chop very hard dry foods such as meat with bones, soybeans, peppercorns, coffee beans, ice cubes, and frozen foods.

PRODUCT

1. Before connecting the food processor to the power supply,

ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches the voltage of your household.

1. The appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or without experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance and the understanding of the hazards inherent thereto. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance intended to be carried out by the user shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

2. Supervise the children so that they do not play with the appliance.

3. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, spatulas, and other utensils away from the accessories during operation to reduce the risk of injury to individuals and/or damage to the appliance.

4. Disconnect the appliance from the socket when moving and not in use.

5. Do not insert oversized foods or metallic utensils into the appliance as they may cause fires or risk of electric shock.

6. The blades are very sharp. Handle the food processor with great care and caution.

7. Before turning on the food processor, ensure that the accessories have been assembled correctly.

8. Be careful when handling sharp blades while emptying the container and during cleaning.

9. Incorrect use of the product can cause damage or injury.

10. In order to avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the body of the product in water or other liquids.

11. This product does not contain repairable parts. Don't try to fix it yourself. Have maintenance performed by a qualified service centre using only identical spare parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.

12. Do not use the appliance at high temperatures, in very humid or wet environments or in the vicinity of flammable material.

13. Do not use if the appliance has fallen or has been damaged in any way. Do not attempt repairs yourself. Contact your dealer for repair/replacement, if under warranty, or customer support.

14. Do not insert paper, cardboard, plastic and the like inside the appliance.

CABLE AND PLUG

1. The power cord must be connected to an AC electrical outlet (standard household current). Do not use other electrical outlets.
2. In case of incompatibility between the socket and the plug of the appliance, have the socket replaced by another suitable type by qualified personnel. The use of adapters, multiple sockets, and/or extensions is not recommended. Should their use be necessary, use only simple or multiple adapters and extensions complying with the current safety standards, taking care not to exceed the power limit marked on the adapter and/or extension.
3. Do not use the power cord if damaged.
4. In order to avoid electric shock, do not immerse the power cord in water or other liquids.
5. The power cord should be used in a dry and clean place. Use in wet or dirty environments may lead to risks of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
6. Do not touch the cord or plug with wet hands or bare feet.
7. Do not let the cable dangle or fall down from a countertop.
8. Be careful not to pull or trip over the power cord. Keep the cable away from sources of heat, hot objects or open flames.
9. Disconnect the cable from the power outlet before cleaning and when the appliance is not in use. To disconnect, turn off the appliance, then remove the plug from the wall outlet. Don't pull the cable but grab the plug.
10. Ensure that the cord is fully extended before plugging it into the power outlet.
11. The cable should not be twisted or wrapped around the appliance.
12. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. Do not attempt repairs yourself. Contact your dealer for repair/replacement, if under warranty, or customer support.
13. Do not use extension cables or timer devices.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove the different components from the packaging, check that they are complete and intact, carefully remove any protections and labels. The package contains:

3. Before the first use, or after prolonged non-use, wash all parts that come into contact with food as indicated in the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section.

4. Make sure that all parts are assembled correctly and in place before use.

ASSEMBLY

1. Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
2. Place the container on the motor body by aligning the two tabs of the container with the slots in the motor body. Rotate clockwise to secure the container until you hear a click.
3. Carefully lift the blade assembly by holding it from the shaft and insert it onto the central shaft of the container, securing it by pressing downwards until you hear a click.
4. Place the processing lid on the container by aligning the slots in the bottom of the lid with the tabs on the top of the container, rotate clockwise until you hear a click.

DANGER! The blades are very sharp! Be very careful when rolling the blades!

IMPORTANT NOTES ON CORRECT USE

If the appliance is not properly assembled, it will not operate. For safety reasons, this unit is equipped with two interlock systems that prevent the unit from operating if the lid or container is removed. Do not attempt to start the unit without the lid or container correctly positioned and locked.

OPERATION

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Do not operate the appliance with the empty container.

During the initial use, the appliance may emit smoke and/or a slight odor. This is normal and will quickly disappear after a few uses.

1. Add the food to be chopped into the container. Do not overfill the container, but consider that at the end of the processing, the food should not exceed 2/3 of the container's volume.
2. Secure the lid properly by locking it in place.

3. This food processor has two speeds:

4. Puree: for a smoother and homogeneous result (ground)

5. Chop: for a coarser result (chopped)

6. Press and hold the "chop" or "puree" button for the desired time. Releasing the button will stop the appliance.

7. Lift the blade before emptying the container.

DANGER! When the appliance is turned off, the blade

continues to rotate for a few moments: do not touch with your hands.

DANGER! Do not chop extremely hard foods such as ice

cubes, nutmeg, coffee beans and cereals.

If food gets stuck around the blades during use:

1. Release the speed button and wait for the blades to come to a complete stop.
2. Remove the processing lid.
3. Use a spatula to carefully remove the food. Do not use fingers as the blades are sharp!
4. After the food has been removed and the blades cleaned, reassemble the lid and continue processing.

Processing settings are indicative and may vary depending on the quality of the food and desired results.

Useful notes and tips:

• Most processing requires less than 6 seconds, so be cautious during processing to avoid undesired results.
• Do not use the appliance for more than 1 minute continuously. After 1 minute of continuous use, the unit may overheat. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before resuming use. After 3 cycles, the appliance must rest for 15 minutes to allow the main motor to cool down.
• Do not shake or move the appliance during operation.
• Start processing with pulsing movements by pressing and releasing the speed button quickly until reaching the desired consistency.
• Do not use to chop very hard dry foods like meat with bones, soybeans, peppercorns, coffee beans, ice cubes, and frozen foods.
• Avoid overloading the appliance's motor; it's better to add ingredients gradually.
• Do not process hot ingredients. Let hot ingredients cool to room temperature before placing them in the container.
• It's recommended to cut ingredients into 2 cm pieces before placing them in the container.
• To avoid damaging the blades, the first 3 seconds of the "Chop" button will operate at maximum speed before reducing.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool down completely.

CLEANING

1. MOTOR UNIT

Clean the motor unit with a soft cloth or a lightly damp sponge and dry with a cloth.

DANGER! DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER OR SOAK IN AIDS.

2. CONTAINER, BLADE ASSEMBLY, LID

These parts are dishwasher safe at a temperature not exceeding 55^ C, or can be washed with hot water and dish soap. It is recommended to wash by hand to keep the characteristics of the materials unchanged.

ATTENTION!

Be careful when handling the cutting blades.

IMPORTANT NOTE Do not use chemical detergents, steel wool or abrasive cleaners for cleaning.

MAINTENANCE

Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing it or wrapping the supply cable around it.

Make sure all parts are clean and dry before storing them.

Never store the appliance when it is still wet.

It is recommended to store the appliance in a dry place, clean and away from moisture and dust.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Solution
The food processor does not turn on.	Check that the plug of the appliance is correctly inserted into the socket.
The food processor stops during use.	In case of overload or jamming, the food processor automatically shuts off to prevent damage to the motor. Divide the preparation into smaller quantities. For some recipes, adding liquids to the container can reduce the strain on the motor.
Food accumulates on the lid or container walls.	There may be too much food in the container. Turn off the appliance, wait for the blades to stop rotating, remove the lid, and clean the container and lid with a spatula. Remove any excess food.
The food is not evenly chopped.	The amount of food to be chopped is excessive or the pieces are too large. Cut the food into smaller pieces or reduce the amount.
The food is too finely chopped or watery.	The food has been processed for too long. It is recommended to operate the appliance for a shorter time or use short duration pulsing action.
The problem is not solved	Contact your retailer or customer support.

INFORMATION ON DISPOSAL

PRODUCT

Pursuant to art. 26 of Legislative Decree No. 49 of 14 March 2014 “Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)”, the presence of the wheeled bin symbol indicates that this product is not to be considered urban waste: Non-separate disposal can be a potential harm to the environment and health. This product may be returned to the distributor upon purchase of a new appliance.

Improper disposal of the product constitutes fraudulent conduct and is subject to sanctions by the Public Safety Authority. For more information, please contact the local environmental authority.

"TOGNANA" SMALL APPLIANCES WARRANTY

The Company Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. thanks its Customers for their choice and guarantees that its appliances are the result of the latest technologies and research.

This warranty applies only to small appliances marked with the "Tognana" brand and is valid as a

conventional warranty pursuant to Article 135-quinquies of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206 of 6 September 2005). This warranty does not in any way affect the rights expressly provided for in favour of the consumer by the regulations on the sale of consumer movable goods, whether Italian or of the consumer's country of residence: the consumer can therefore always assert his rights against the retailer from which he purchased the appliance, under the conditions and within the terms provided for by these regulations.

Under this warranty, the appliance is covered by the conventional warranty for a period of two years from the date of purchase by the first user.

It is up to the consumer - through a delivery document issued by the retailer (or by Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. itself, in the case of a purchase made by the consumer directly in the online shop of the latter) or by another evidentiary document (for example, tax receipt, cash receipt or similar, purchase order, etc.), which shows the name of the retailer and the date on which the sale was made - to demonstrate that this warranty is still valid at the time of filing the complaint of defect of the appliance.

In the event of a defect in the appliance, pursuant to this warranty, the consumer may highlight this defect by contacting the appliance dealer or by contacting Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. directly at the e-mail [e-mail], or at the telephone number [phone].

Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. guarantees the free repair or replacement of the appliance and/or its components that have defects due to ascertained causes of manufacture and/or malfunctions, directly or through affiliated service centres (check any contacts on the Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. website: www.tognana.com). Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. reserves the right to completely replace the appliance, if repairability is impossible or too expensive, with another identical or similar appliance (or one that has functional and aesthetic characteristics similar to those of the purchased appliance), without the consumer being able, in this second hypothesis, to contest the choice made by Tognana Porcellane S.p.A.

The consumer, in the presentation of the complaint, in addition to specifying the defect found, also providing photographic documentation, if indispensable for the purpose of ascertaining the defect of the appliance, must communicate their personal data - name and surname, residence address, email and telephone number - for each subsequent contact. For the successful replacement or repair of the appliance, the consumer will in any case be required to follow the instructions provided in this regard by the employees of Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. or the service centre in charge.

All costs of repair and delivery of the replacement appliance or defect-free components will be entirely borne by Tognana Porcellane S.p.A., which will also bear the costs of returning the defective appliance or component, if expressly requested by the consumer.

It should be noted that, following the replacement or repair of the appliance, the effective date of this warranty remains that of the first purchase: therefore, the service performed under the warranty does not extend the period of its validity.

For the purposes of the effectiveness of this warranty, it is specified that: the appliance has been designed and built for exclusively domestic use, consequently terminating this warranty for any other different use. In addition, the appliance can never be considered defective if it has to be adapted or modified to comply with national or local safety and/or technical standards, in force in the consumer's country, if outside the European Union.

In any case, this warranty does not cover:

• parts subject to wear and tear, nor those that require periodic replacement and/or maintenance;
• negligence or carelessness in the use of the appliance (e.g. failure to comply with the operating instructions of the appliance);
• professional use of the appliance;
• defects due to incorrect installation, configuration, updating of software/BIOS/firmware not performed by authorized personnel Tognana Porcellane S.p.A;
• repairs or interventions carried out by personnel not authorised by Tognana Porcellane S.p.A.;
• manipulations of components of the appliance or, where applicable, of the software;
• other circumstances that, in any case, cannot be traced back to manufacturing defects in the appliance.
  Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. declines all responsibility for any damage that may, directly or indirectly, result to people, property and pets as a result of failure to comply with all the requirements indicated in the specific instruction booklet and concerning especially the warnings regarding installation, use and maintenance of the device.

Further claims, in particular if they relate to claims, are excluded, unless the liability arises from express provision of law. At the end of the period of validity of this warranty, or for goods that are not covered by it, Tognana Porcellane S.p.A. remains available to the customer for any questions or information.
