3.PRODUCT OVERVIEW

4. ASSEMBLY
Remove the board from the packaging. Choose a smooth and clean surface to spread the board out on. Roll out the SUP board flat with the top side facing upwards.

Valve operation
Follow the instructions below to inflate and deflate the air correctly. The valve is located near the nose of the board. To close the valve for inflation, check that the valve pin is in the deflated position. If this is not the case, press and turn the valve by 45 degrees so that it pops out upwards.

To deflate the SUP board, press the valve pin and turn it by approx. 45 degrees so that it engages in the lower position. To prevent damage to the valve, clean it before each deflation and inflation of the board.

Inflating the Bluemarina SUP board
Press the valve pin to allow some air to enter the SUP board through a natural vacuum. Make sure that the valve is closed before inflating with the pump.
Make sure that the inflation hose is attached to the inflation valve.
Connect the pump to the valve by turning it half a turn clockwise until the hose is clearly engaged.

4. ASSEMBLY
(CONTINUATION)
Now start pumping the air into the board by moving the handle of the pump up and down. To begin with, you can utilise the full effect of the double-stroke piston pump and switch to double-stroke operation at the pump valve. If the SUP board is inflated to such an extent that the pump can no longer be pumped using double action mode, switch the pump valve to single stroke mode. Now inflate the SUP board to 1 bar (15 psi).
Now turn the pump hose on the valve of the board anti-clockwise.
Inflation tips and precautions
Do not use an air compressor for your SUP board. Damage caused by an air compressor is not covered by our warranty. After a few days, the air pressure may have changed due to fluctuating temperatures. If this is the case, pump in some air. Before using the SUP board, leave it inflated for 24 hours to ensure that it is not damaged. If you notice that air is escaping, follow the instructions in the leak detection and repair section of this manual.
Do not pump too much air into the board. A maximum pressure of 1034 mbar (1 bar or 15 psi) is sufficient. A measure of the correct filling quantity is when the SUP board feels firm. Do not over-inflate the SUP board and do not expose it to permanent sunlight. If the SUP board is exposed to heat, let some air out of the board as the air in the SUP board expands as it heats up. If you are paddling, the cold temperature of the water can reduce the pressure in the SUP board. In such cases, it is advisable to check the air pressure before use and adjust it if necessary.

Fitting the fin
Now attach the fin to the bracket and secure it with the fixing pin. This is seated correctly when it audibly clicks into place.

5.COMMISSIONING
Aluminium telescopic paddle
The telescopic paddle for your SUP board consists of three parts. To assemble the paddle, press and hold the button while connecting the parts together until you hear a click. The head section of the paddle is adjustable. For the perfect length, your paddle should be set about 15 cm longer than you are.
From here, adjust the length of the paddle until you find it comfortable. A long paddle is better suited for standing use, smooth and even movements. A shorter paddle is suitable for use with the optional seat.

7. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
Recognising leaks
If your SUP board is losing air (regardless of low outside temperatures), check whether it has a leak. To do this, start with the valve. If air is escaping from the valve, tighten it using the valve spanner supplied. If air is still escaping from the valve, dismantle it using the valve spanner
and apply a little grease to the outside of the valve to make the material supple and ensure an optimum seal. Then screw the valve back on tightly. If air is still escaping, the valve appears to be defective. Contact our customer service for a replacement valve.
If the SUP board is leaking air but the valve is OK, the SUP board probably has a small hole. Small holes can be repaired easily and permanently. Spray the board with a spray bottle and some foaming detergent and look for the leak by spotting any bubbles and mark the spot. If you do not find any bubbles, inflate the board to the maximum air pressure (1 bar) and check whether you can hear where the air is escaping. If you can narrow down the area, spray the area again to pinpoint the exact location of the hole.
Carry out repairs to the SUP board yourself
Holes of less than 3mm can be repaired without having to be patched. Let the air out of your SUP board, dry and then clean the area that needs to be repaired. Apply a small drop of liquid glue (not included) to the hole and leave to dry for at least 12 hours.
If your SUP board needs to be repaired, use the patches in the repair kit.
Proceed as follows:
- Deflate the SUP board completely and allow it to dry.
- Cut a patch that is 6cm larger on all sides than the hole.
- Use alcohol to clean the repair area without leaving any residue.
- Use three layers of adhesive between the board and the patch.
Wait at least 5 minutes before applying the next layer.
- Glue the patch over the hole. The adhesive will react quickly, so you should check carefully that the patch has been applied in the correct position. Smooth it out so that it adheres smoothly and cleanly.
- Wait at least 24 hours before inflating the SUP board again.
8. STORAGE
Below you will find detailed instructions and best practices to ensure that your SUP board is stored in the best possible way. Proper storage is crucial to preserving the life and quality of your SUP board. Find out here how to best protect and prepare your SUP board when it's not out on the water. We recommend the following steps for the proper storage of your SUP board:
Remove all air from your SUP board before storage and allow it to dry thoroughly to prevent mould growth. Use mild soap and water to remove dirt and avoid harsh cleaning agents. Store your SUP board in the carrying bag supplied.
The SUP board should be set up outdoors and covered with a tarpaulin to prevent direct sunlight. It is not recommended to store the SUP board hanging.
Take care not to expose the SUP board to extreme temperatures (below -23 °C or above 60 °C) and store it in a clean, dry place.
Do not roll up your SUP board too tightly after deflating. If the fins are bent, you can immerse them in hot water or use heat, such as a hairdryer, to get them back into shape.
