This product is exclusively intended for the range of application described above. It should only be used as described within these instructions.
- Unauthorised repairs, alterations or changes to the product are prohibited.
- Do not use the device if it seems to be damaged.

Caution!

Risk of injury!

Always check the water temperature with the back of your hand before putting a child into a bath.
The product is not a toy. Use under parental supervision.
- Keep this device and the battery out of reach of children.
- Batteries may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours.

If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.

• Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the device for a long period of time. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. In case of contact, immediately rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor.

Important information on product safety!

• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.

6. Getting started

• The device has an activation sensor. Tap the bath thermometer firmly on your palm to switch it on.
  The device displays the ambient temperature.
• To check the temperature of the bath water, place the bath thermometer in the water.
  The device will turn off automatically after approx. 60 minutes.

7. Temperature alarm

• The most comfortable bathing temperature for small children is 36 - 37^

• If the water temperature rises above 39^ , HOT appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes red.
• If the water temperature drops below 32^ , COLD appears on the display

8. Battery replacement (Fig. 4)

• Change the battery when the display becomes weak.
• To open and close the battery compartment, the release button must be pressed down firmly with a pointed object.
• Open the battery compartment by turning the lid to the left (in the arrow direction OPEN) using a coin and insert one new CR2032 battery (+pole above).
• Close the battery compartment by turning the lid to the right (in the arrow direction CLOSE).
  The lid is correctly closed when the release button is locked in place.
  Note:

The instrument must be switched off before changing the battery.

• Attention:

Close the battery compartment carefully, so that no water can get in. Pay attention to the sealing ring.

10. Waste disposal

This product and its packaging have been manufactured using high-grade materials and components which can be recycled and reused. This reduces waste and protects the environment.

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner using the collection systems that have been set up.

Disposal of the electrical device

Remove non-permanently installed batteries and rechargeable batteries from the device and dispose of them separately.

This product is labelled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).

This product must not be disposed of in ordinary household waste. As a consumer, you are required to take end-of-life devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment, in order to ensure environmentally-compatible disposal. The return service is free of charge. Observe the current regulations in place!

Disposal of the batteries

Never dispose of empty batteries and rechargeable batteries with ordinary household waste. They contain pollutants such as heavy metals, which can be harmful to the environment and human health if disposed of improperly, and valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel that can be recovered from waste.

As a consumer, you are required by law to take them to your retail store or to an appropriate collection site depending on national or local regulations in order to protect the environment. The return service is free of charge. You can obtain addresses of suitable collection points from your city council or local authority.

The symbols for the contained heavy metals are: Cd=admium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead.

Reduce the generation of waste from batteries by using batteries with a longer lifespan or suitable rechargeable batteries. Avoid littering the environment and do not leave batteries or battery-containing electrical and electronic devices lying around carelessly. The separate collection and recycling of batteries and rechargeable batteries make an important contribution to relieving the impact on the environment and avoiding health risks.
