Do not use power supply with a voltage higher than 5V, cause damage to the player.
- Listen at high volume for long periods of time, may damage your hearing.
- Avoid using it in the following cases:
- Near strong heat sources, such as central heating plants or stoves.
- In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.
- In very dusty places.
- In places subject to strong vibrations.

Position the appliance in such a way that there is always enough room for free air circulation (at least 5 cm).

Do not block the air inlets.
- If any liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately from the socket and take it to the nearest TREVI authorised service centre.
- Before switching on the appliance, always check that the power cable and the connection cable are properly installed.
- No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on this.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no object filled with water, such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
- Keep this manual for future reference.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
For cleaning it is recommended to use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive substances.
IMPORTANT
The construction of this device guarantees long flawless operation. However, if come some problem, you should consult your nearest authorized service center.
TREVI pursues a policy of continuous research and development. Therefore, the products may show different characteristics from those described.
WARNING FOR A CORRECT USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
- Recharge the battery in an ambient temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
- Don't recharge more than the suitable period to prevent the risk of overheating and burst.
- Recharging the battery over the suitable period or an extended period of inactivity may reduce battery duration.
- Rechargeable battery is liable to wear and tear and its performance will reduce gradually.
- To extend the duration of the battery use it when is completely charged up to the complete discharging, then recharge it fully before use it again. Recharge a battery not completely consumed, will result in reduced duration. In this case, repeat the full charging/discharging cycle many times.
- Avoid recharge the battery for the whole night.

CHARGING
The speaker must be charged while turned off.
Using the provided USB/Type-C cable, connect the side with the Type-C plug to the (6) socket on the speaker and the other end to the USB socket of a power adapter (5V---1A not included).
The indicator light (7) will turn red. When charging is complete, it will turn off.
Note:
When the battery is running low, the device will emit a voice notification several times before automatically turning off.
To protect the battery performance, avoid using the device during charging.
The device does not have the power bank function; it is prohibited to connect other devices through the USB interface.
BASIC OPERATION
To turn on the speaker, press and hold the power on/off button (1) for a long time.
Press the M button (5) to choose between:
- Wireless Audio mode.
- Radio mode (only available in export versions).
- USB mode, if a USB memory is present in the socket (9), the device will start playing music automatically.
- Micro SD mode, if a micro SD memory is present in the slot (10), the device will start playing music automatically.
- AUX mode, if an external device is connected via the AUX IN input (8).
To turn off the speaker, press and hold the power on/off button (1) for a long time.
VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Press and hold the - button (2) or the + button (4) to decrease or increase the volume.
WIRELESS OPERATION
PAIRING DEVICES
- Place the speaker near the wireless device to be paired with.
- Turn on the speaker; in the absence of connected external memories, the device will immediately switch to wireless mode, otherwise press the M button (5) until a notification sound is heard and the indicator (7) starts flashing quickly.
- Follow the instructions on your device to search for the speaker.
- Search for and pair with the speaker named "XR 8A 202" and enter the PIN "0000" if prompted.
- Upon successful pairing, a confirmation sound will be heard, and the indicator (7) will flash slowly. From this moment, you can play music.
Notes:
Wireless connection works only with one connection at a time; the connection cannot be interrupted during normal operation.
When wireless pairing with external devices fails, delete another device in the list of connections, restart the speaker, and search for the signal again.
CONTROLS AVAILABLE IN WIRELESS MODE
MUSIC PLAYBACK
- Press the - button (2) or the + button (4) to skip to the previous or next track.
- Press the button (3) to pause, press it again to resume playback.
TF CARD/USB
- Turn on the speaker.
- Insert a micro SD card into the designated slot (10) with the electrical contacts facing downward, or insert a USB memory into the USB socket (9). Playback will start automatically.
- Press the - button (2) or the + button (4) to skip to the previous or next track.
- Press the button (3) to pause, press it again to resume playback.
AUX IN
- Turn on the speaker.
- Connect the audio Jack/Jack cable to the AUX IN socket (8), a voice notification will be heard, and the other end to the external device.
- Start playback from the external device.
RADIO MODE (only for export version)
- Insert the audio jack cable into the AUX IN socket (8) as an antenna.
- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the M button (5) several times to access Radio mode.
- Press the button (3) to start searching with automatic radio station saving.
- Press the - button (2) or the + button (4) to switch to the previous or next radio station.
This function allows you to pair 2 speakers (to be purchased separately) for stereo music playback; this function is available only in wireless audio mode with compatible devices.
- Turn on the first speaker and select wireless audio mode; connect your device and start audio playback (see Wireless Operation chapter).
- Turn on the second speaker and press and hold the button (3), wait a few seconds for the pairing between speakers.
If pairing between the 2 speakers fails, turn off both devices and repeat steps 1 and 2.
LED LIGHTING
Briefly press the button (5) to select/change the lighting effect; press it twice quickly to turn off the lighting.

INFORMATION ON THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES
Warning: the operation of removal and disposal is reserved to technical personnel!
Whatever type of battery used up, it should never be placed in household waste, fire or water. Each type of used battery must be recycled or disposed of at an appropriate dedicated collection points.
To remove the battery:
- Remove the front grille, plastic light diffuser, LED PCB, and speaker;
- Remove the side woofers with their respective supports and the handle;
- Remove the circular colored back part;
- Unscrew all the screws present and separate the front part of the cabinet from the back part by levering between the two cabinets;
- Locate the battery, remove its clamps and connectors, and then remove the battery.

Precautions for correct disposal of the product.
The symbol shown on the equipment indicates that waste must be disposed of in “separate collection” and so the product must not be disposed of together with urban waste. The user must take the product to special “separate waste collection centres” provided by local government, or deliver it to the retailer against the purchase of a new product. Separate collection of waste and subsequent treatment, recycling and disposal operations promotes the production of equipment with recycled materials and limits negative effects on the environment and on health caused by improper handling of waste.
Illegal disposal of the product leads to the enforcement of administrative penalties.
